I had gone in to the store to obtain advice prior to purchasing a charging cable for a mobile telephone but unfortunately due to the gentleman at the tech desk attending to someone else for approximate ten minutes but also more importantly not even being acknowledged by the tech assistant, I moved over to the cash point which was situated at the far end of the counter for advice. It was here that I asked the sales assistant for advice whilst also pointing out that even though I fully appreciate that the tech guy had been assisting another customer, some form of informal acknowledgment from him would have been nice instead of being made to feel invisible. At this point, the assistant turned very defensive towards me stating that he had been attending to another customer - which naturally I do not have an issue with - but also wrongly stating that she had in fact acknowledged me waiting at the counter, to reiterate this was totally untrue. She went onto say she did not appreciate me saying I had been ignored and went onto what I can only explain as plainly admonishing me in front of other customers.

As a sixty year old disabled female I can honestly say that I have never been spoken to in such a derogatory manner by anyone, let alone a shop assistant when it was me that was complaining to her in the first place!

It is perhaps interesting to note the prominent signs in store asking customers to be polite towards members of staff. It might be an idea for members of staff to show this same curtesy to their customers.

My daughter who lives in Torquay went to Currys in Torbay to purchase an integrated appliance for their new kitchen as they had been messed about with the kitchen installer they had to take the appliance still boxed and never been opened back to Currys as they had to get another company to carryout the installation and the appliance wouldn’t fit the new design. Currys wouldn’t give a refund even though they had receipts and the appliance hadn’t been opened, so they will be getting in touch with Ian Dyson the chair of currys.

Visited the Torbay store today. Two senior women in need of patience and help. Fortunate to meet Jordan and Tim who couldn’t have been more helpful or patient.

Bought new tv paid for delivery and set up,on the 3rd.yesterday could not get it to work.rang customer service lady said go to store they will sort.on going back to store they were vey unhelpful asked us to take a video of problem and send it off to them.we are still trying to sort now,
