Returning an instore bought TV

Bought a TV and told salesman I’d measured space but as a corner desk I wasn’t 100% certain it would fit. Got it home took out of box placed TV on desk and it didn’t fit so straight back into box. When I took it back the next day the salesman gave it a full inspection and said they don’t normally take TVs back if taken out of box. Looking on website it says online purchases can be taken out of box but not in store, so online TVs are ‘not secondhand with fingerprints’ but in store purchases ‘are secondhand with fingerprints’! How ridiculous if you have a receipt then in my eyes that’s good enough. Stressful too as I don’t like feeling accused of returning a used damaged tv and not believed. I’m not going to make any future Currys purchases, as clearly a receipt isn’t good enough!

Poor delivery information

Ordered end of September an iPad with confirmation of delivery being Monday 12 October. Received text saying was delayed It took 5 calls to be told that it might come by 24 October with no explsnation

Brilliant service at Curry’s Southport

Called into store to look at TV’s. We asked a member of staff a few questions and ended up buying our TV; taking it home 20-30 minutes later. The assistant was so knowledgeable, quick in establishing what we were looking for and giving us advice based on our priorities. It was the fasted purchase we have ever made and we were really impressed with the service. Payment and claiming discount took minutes; it was effortless under the guidance of the staff member. Allowed us to have £ 100 off a washing machine that the offer had run out by a few days but we had a photo of it from the Preston store and bought it in Southport

All went well, simple and easy process

I bought my freezer on line. I had visited the shop but could not see the freezer I had previously looked at on line. I arranged the delivery and all went according to plan with two guys arriving to deliver, set it up and take away the old freezer. Very nice guys who were very efficient. I am very happy with how everything went.
