Crown Currency Exchange Omdömen 

Don't use Crown currency exchange. Their exchange rates are by far the worst. 🤬🤬🤬

Initially I didn't receive a good rate and the Asian lady/manager at the Carousel branch was very helpful in handling my objection.

I googled to exchange A$199.88 to AED and it said 463 Dirham.
They advertise Students and pensioner discount and my Wife is 72.
Vanessa at the Parkmore Shopping Centre gave her 355 Dirham so this exchange cost us 47A$ or 108 Dirham.

I met Katrina and her fellow worker at Crown Currency at the Macquarie centre this afternoon.
Katrina was very professional, personable and clearly communicated to me all that I wanted to know.

She was a stand out to me in terrms of a customer service professional.

Crown are verging on thieves. I changed some currency on the Sunshine Coast in a hurry before heading overseas. Foolishly I didn't check prior on the going rate. When I questioned the exchange rate I was assured it was the best rate on offer and that was all they had left of that currency. After departure I quickly learnt I'd been duped by more than 33% on the exchange rate to the worst rate achieved while away while exchanging cash and paying by Visa. On return I emailed their head office and the scumbags didn't even give the courtesy of a response. AVOID them at all costs, they are parasites preying on the trusting public.

Avoid Crown Currency at all costs! They fleeced me out of nearly $500 with a rate equal to fraud! Their website claims to offer guaranteed competitive rates...JOKE! The Westfield Pitt Street shop had zero interest in resolving my dispute and told me their rates are marginal, they're an exotic shop and I should have done my research...at the time of purchase the lady didn't tell us the rate at any time. Their so called margins are almost 40% lower than banks! They even said it was too late for me to dispute as it had been more than 2 weeks since purchase, even though I'd just got back from Vietnam the day before! I have taken my case to NCAT, ASIC, ASSS and to a lawyer!

I should have read the reviews first. Was going to exchange 1k but thought 200 NZD for now till Monday, wish id waited? Got back 167.04 - couple of exchanges were doing for 185.72 ... aahh well

I changed on 30 of July 500 euros with CrownCurrency Exchange Australia… They gave me only 735 AU$… 1€=1.446AU$
At any normal bank, the rate was 1€=1,666AU$ the same day, but l learnt it after. I would get 833AU$ with my 500€.
My wife changed 500US$ for 675AU$, 1$=1,375AU$. In a bank, she would get for 500US$ 751AU$.
We lost 98+76 = 174 AU$ or 116US$ among 1051US$ (11%!!!) with this awful company of… swindlers. l think, even if it's not a kind qualification, that they really deserve it to apply such rates with foreigners… A company to avoid !!!

I changed 250AUD and was given a rate of 679.67007880 (170,000 KRW) at Crown Currency Sunshine Plaza
I arrived in Seoul and crossed the road to a money changer with no prices listed and put 250AUD on the counter and was given a rate of 880. (220,000KRW)
I noticed at Incheon Airport the rate was 909.78.
As credit cards are readily available in Korea my advice is that you are better off just using your credit card.

Crown Currency Exchange claim no fees but got ripped off when I converted $1000 aud to 81000 yen when Travelx was offering 86000.

Unfortunately, no reviews, no history, no info. Who are they?
Found link through Money Saving Expert, so con't be that bad, or a con, but I am more careful with my money exchange, than basic shopping.
