No complaints at all - highly recommended for homebuyers survey
They were able to get the survey scheduled and complete within 2 weeks of us contacting them which was way faster than we expected. The report was comprehensive and easy to understand. They did everything they said they would and when they said they would do it. Always responded quickly to emails as well. We would definitely use them again.

Excellent service
We brought Crest onboard to help us with a Help-to-buy redemption valuation and report and they were all round fantastic. The team over there were extremely responsive, the pricing was extremely reasonable and the report produced was done so in a professional and timely manner, Thomas was brilliant and so polite in his valuation visit and explained things extremely clearly to us (which helped as it was our first time going through this). I'd highly recommend using Crest and I will be doing so if needs be in the future!

We had a full building survey…
We had a full building survey undertaken costing nearly £1000 by a Mr Barry Brown. Unfortunately only two days after moving in and with my (non qualified) eyes I soon noticed two extremely large damaging leaks in both bathrooms that needed instant remedy to the value of £600. (Visible issues such as zero grout between tiles, damp patches on the ceiling and floor below and soft rotting walls) needless to say we now wish we had saved our money and had saved it for fixing the issues. I would have expected having gone for the highest level of survey that we would get a thorough inspection and not be discovering issues within days of moving. Avoid.

Structural survey was not up to standard
We had a Crest surveyor over for a full structural survey who completely missed fundamental aspects of the structure of the property, such as the wall type and large trees leaning over a neighbours house. Having had the survey challenged through CEDR it was admitted that the survey was not up to the expected standard with regards to those points above. But no compensation of any kind was offered. Crest have been unwilling to compensate even for the cost of the full structural survey, only issue a written apology. This seems to have lots of high reviews but I have read through and echo completely the sentiments of the other bad review for this company "In summary, critical aspects of report were fraught with boilerplate and generic language, with insufficient details." We experienced the exact same issue and found the report to be lacking significantly on key details. I would not recommend them to anyone and specifically not the structural survey.
Update to the response below - be assured that we read the surveyors report extremely thoroughly, as anyone would do when buying a house. The fact that an apology needed to be issued for the mistakes in the report tells you all you need to know.

We have responded to all the queries you raised following your survey and have fully cooperated with the investigation carried out by CEDR.
We like yourself have also received the final decision from CEDR and as recommended by them, we encourage all our clients to read the full report and follow its recommendations. Had this been done it would have satisfied the queries you raised before exchanging contracts; Most especially in areas flagged with a rating of 2 and 3 which indicates that they require urgent attention. This has resulted in your request for compensation not being endorsed by CEDR as they have agreed that reports must be read in their entirety.
We maintain that we are always willing to engage in discussion with our clients and offer to provide further information and clarification wherever possible. The contents of the feedback you are referring to is inaccurate which is visible from our response to that feedback; We are hopeful that you can reflect on our vast positive reviews and feedback to draw a more accurate conclusion. We value every interaction with our clients and welcome this as an opportunity to offer the very best service.
We hope that you can find some reassurance knowing that the queries and concerns you presented to RICS were looked at and fully investigated by CEDR and an impartial conclusion has been arrived at based on concrete evidence and facts presented by both parties.

Quick, easy and great customer service
Crest have been absolutely amazing! We have had a very stressful and difficult process in buying our house, but Crest have made the Surveying part of it really easy for us. Firstly, Crest's availability was great and we were able to get a date very quickly after enquiring. Ben Okoye conducted a fantastic in depth Homebuyers Survey for us and delivered the report promptly within a few days (which is quicker than most). Anu and Janelle are fantastic front of house and on the phone- very friendly and responsive and always trying to help us. We had a few follow up requests, from our solicitor, and they were able to provide this information to us very swiftly even though Ben was very busy. We are so thankful for Ben and the team at Crest who helped to make this experience the easiest part of our house purchasing journey. Many thanks and highly reccomended to everyone! We would also like to say that Crest has absolutely fantastic customer service!

Good, quick service
Survey was done within a quick timeframe and to a good standard. Only criticism would be that the communication wasn't great from when we paid the fee to when the survey actually got done - i.e. we had to chase a number of times to find out when it would be happening.
