Ordered a £1049 sofa on 8th February
Ordered a £1049 sofa on 8th February, estimated delivery was 14- 16 weeks, at 14 weeks we got in touch with cousins as there was no communication since ordering, we were emailed saying due in port on 27th June 2026 nearly 4 weeks after the estimated delivery, which we thought was unacceptable, we requested our £418.95 deposit back as we were not happy we had to get in touch with them, basically we. Could not have our deposit back non .cancelable. Went into store the manager said if not happy get in touch with the ombudsmen. Would advise not to shop at cousins as we have lost our deposit, the after sale service is non existant, you will have to chase them if any delays on your order.

We completely understand how frustrating it is when a long-awaited order is delayed, particularly when you were expecting it within the original estimated lead time. We appreciate that you had to contact us for an update, and we're sorry this left you feeling let down.
Before leaving our showroom, we ask all customers to sign their order invoice, which confirms that our quoted lead times are estimates and may change due to unforeseen circumstances outside of our control, such as supplier or shipping delays. The invoice also explains that made-to-order furniture is non-cancellable once the order has been placed with the manufacturer.
Unfortunately, your order was affected by delays to shipping containers following disruption caused by the situation involving Iran, which impacted a number of incoming supplier deliveries. Whilst this was outside of our control, we fully appreciate that this did not make the wait any less disappointing, and we would much rather have fulfilled your order within the original estimated timeframe.
We would also like to clarify that, although our colleague later advised an estimated arrival of 27th June, your sofa actually arrived into our warehouse much earlier, on 4th June. This means it is currently available should you decide to proceed with your purchase. If you do wish to continue, we would be delighted to arrange payment of the outstanding balance and organise a convenient delivery date for you.
We are sorry that your experience has left you feeling this way, as providing excellent customer service is something we take seriously. If you would like to discuss your order further, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Services team, who will be happy to help to arrange delivery, or you are able to proceed with your Ombudsman complaint.

Surprised your open
We were at first very surprised the store was open as with a lot of renovation work going on it was not clear from outside that customers were welcome. Once inside the lovely Emily (Em) introduced herself and pointed us in the right direction for what we were looking for. Em then left us to it but asked us to shout if and when we needed her, which we did eventually. She helped us measure various wardrobes and we settled on one we liked. Em made the whole experience easy and ensured we will return in the future.

Had suite 3 years ago waited 16 weeks…
Had suite 3 years ago waited 16 weeks was told it would only be 12 after having it few months leather was fading in places although I’d took extra insurance out was told it wasn’t coverd got obnismone involved nothing done should see it now £5000 and now ready for tip id never buy from cousins again just had cousins reply they forget to mention this was reported in first twelve months I’ve not been told it was wear and tear I’m 80 wife is 78 do they think we’ve been jumping on it if you buy of this company good luck

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you remain disappointed with your furniture and the outcome of your claim.
We appreciate that this has been a frustrating experience. As your suite was over three years old when the matter was raised, it was outside the standard 12-month retailer's warranty. Your Guardsman policy also assessed the issue and concluded that it was consistent with fair wear and tear rather than a manufacturing fault.
Your complaint was subsequently reviewed by the Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman, who considered all of the available evidence. The Ombudsman concluded that, given the age of the furniture, there was insufficient evidence to demonstrate a manufacturing fault and confirmed that our offer of an independent out-of-warranty inspection for a £50 call-out fee was fair and reasonable. The case has now been closed.
While we appreciate this was not the outcome you had hoped for, we have followed both our warranty process and the independent guidance provided by the Ombudsman throughout.
