We have been using William and his team on the purchase. Not only have we found his fee nearly £1300.00 cheaper than a local conveyancer we have found his communication absolutely spot on. My wife works for a local agent and has heard some horror stories about non local conveyancers but was really chuffed with the service so far

For the conveyancing side of our house purchase, we did, for practical reasons, ignore a golden rule in this. We accepted the selling agents recommendation of Core Legal, meaning that, for that reason of practicality, we knowingly sacrificed the traditional practice of the purchase and sale side being completely independent of each other. In the event, we award a middle ranking 3 star here, simply because our experience with Core Legal was not awful enough to warrant a 1, and not brilliant enough to warrant a 5. Our impression is that this is not your traditional, personal attention, high street conveyancing solicitor. Rather, this feels more like mass production conveyancing. The disadvantage of which is that there is less of the one-to-one personal attention with an experienced solicitor who has many conveyancing miles on the clock. Whilst the advantage of which appears to be perhaps lower cost of fee. Perhaps as a direct consequence, we do have to say that there were some boo-boos along the way by Core Legal, none of which would normally be expected from the traditional high street solicitor. So, all in all, we feel a 3 star is fair. A special mention though for Zoe Walker, who only came in right at the end, but, who, impressed us greatly, with her ability to overcome hurdles, and get the job done,

I was a first time buyer, my broker recommended Core Legal and a great recommendation it was. The purchase was flawless and completed on target day without a hitch. The service supplied is truly 5 star. Great communication platform a firm that you feel looked after by.

I can’t remember how many times I remortgage my properties. Never have experience like this!!! SUPERB Tiffany Daniels was always when we need her. The same day responding to the emails, phone calls. Always nice to talk to. All extra tasks (even 3 weeks after remortgage) was done in two minutes. I’m now scare how my next remortgage will look like if she’s not there. Avoid using this firm to deal with your mortgage case. I had to chase my case worker many times throughout Jan 2024. I once communicated to them via telephone and it almost seemed to me that the female dealing with my case had no conversation skills and struggled to put her words across.

They demanded £999 upfront payment on the afternoon on day before the completion which was caused by their errors. They did not even have the courtesy and phone me to make me aware of the emergency!

Do not take your chances, especially with them! They can only apologise and not correct / reimburse you for their mistakes

We are in the cost of living crises, so go directly to trusted high rated banks make an appointment and apply for the mortgage yourself. Use their solicitors.

They are all trainee solicitors and amateurs here.

We were assigned a trainee solicitor. Whilst I understand that everyone has to learn and start somewhere, this felt very much at our expense and the wrong information was sent over / generally pace and attention to detail were missing, whilst we still paid full fees.

If you want to save a few bobs at the price of your sanity go ahead.
But be warned, don't be in a hurry, they will do the work at their own pace and we are not talking days nor weeks here, but months.
What should have taken a couple of months took 18 months!!
And was only done after contacting the seller to find out what their solicitor needed, as them too were not getting any reply from Sally's team.
I kept informing and reminding them about what they were supposed to do and never did !!
They will never, ever, call or email you.
My solicitor was Sally Hare and she would never , ever, ever answer the phone when I called her. And I mean never !
Unless you call them a dozen times a day and then she will tell you off for harassing their staff !!!!
But most of their receptionists are very nice people.
Sally never read or replied to my emails until i eventually managed to talk to her assistant on the phone, the way I have just explained above.

I felt a little sorry for the assistant, Dawn, as she basically told me she was overworked but still that is not a reason for causing people undue huge amount of stress!!

When you ask them about your email to them still awaiting a reply, they will answer _'we receive hundreds of emails a days" I don't have time to read them all !!!

If you express your disagreement with their work ethics, or lack of it, after you manage to speak to them on the phone they' ll threaten you or, either be rude to you or they will put the phone down.

I have developed high blood pressure over the course of 18 months of dealing with them.

It is not worth it. I should have heeded the advice of the terrible reviews I read about them on here.

Go find another solicitors firm.

Me and my partner purchased our first home and instructed Core Legal to act for us. We were fully supported and kept in the loop by Matthew Dickenson from start to finish. I rarely leave reviews but I really appreciate the service provided by Core Legal. My remortgaging process has been extremely long and painful due to an issue caused by my previous solicitor. Core Legal have been extremely helpful through what has taken me about 9 months. Even when I had no update to give, they'd follow up and check in and they were super responsive, always answering quickly and patiently answering my many many questions. When my main point of contact (Tiffany Daniels) was away, her inbox was fully covered and I got a swift response from her colleague Matthew Dickenson who looked straight into my case and moved things forward. I don't usually write reviews but I can't fault this firm, especially Matthew Dickenson and his team. They have just completed the purchase of my first house and completed it in 10 weeks. Matthew and his team took the majority of the stress out of buying the house. They use a great online portal that is extremley easy to use and Matthew is very straight talking, straight to the point and does not fluff anything up. All of my questions were answered and everything was simplified.

I will definitely be going back to them again when I move house.

Had to use mortgage affiliated company and they were the cheapest (on quote not in the end) Selling a tiny bit of Garden to our neighbour took 7 months even though we provided all drawings and titles ourselves. As we spoke to our neighbours we weee fully aware of the lack of work being done and the information errors and mistakes constantly made. They added costs to the original quote without notifying us. Told us the mortgage company were lying when we had dates emails to the contrary from the mortgage company. And then complained when I complained that they weee not telling the truth and completed ignored the evidence when sent to them. They don’t take calls, don’t reply to emails. I work in property and have lots of experience of good solicitors and conveyancers. These are not one. Worst thing was we were dealing with Sally Hare, the director and she was dismal. Maybe others are more competent and client savvy. Unless you have time to waste and money to burn stay away from this company.

Communication was good at the start and there were no glitches, but I did have to 'chase' to ensure the completion date would go ahead on the date that we had already requested previously.

Excellent services by Core Legal solicitors, very professional, thorough , detailed.
They understand where the client is coming from and support to the best of their abilities, I got my remortgage completed with them in 6 days start to finish since they received instruction since offer received
I will strongly recommend them.
