Feedback on ID Verification Process for Company Formation
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am an accountant and have been using your services for a long time. Over the years, I have formed hundreds of companies through your services and have generally been very satisfied.
However, I have one concern with the current process, particularly regarding ID verification. When a company or its directors have already been verified, having to go through the ID verification process again can be quite time-consuming and feels like unnecessary duplication.
I would strongly suggest looking into whether previously verified individuals could have their verification status recognised for subsequent company formations, subject of course to any necessary compliance and security requirements.
I believe this would make the process significantly more efficient for professional users such as accountants who regularly form companies on behalf of clients.
My concern is that, if the process becomes too time-consuming, some professional users may choose to use Companies House's own services to incorporate companies instead, simply to avoid having to complete the same verification process twice.
I hope you will consider reviewing this aspect of the service. I have been a long-standing user and would very much like to continue

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback, and I am sorry to hear you felt like the ID verification was unnecessary duplication.
As we are audited by Companies House, HMRC and Trading Standards it is necessary that we conduct our own Know Your Customer (KYC) & Anti Money Laundering (AML) checks with all our customers to ensure we remain complaint to their standards and regulations set upon us.
In order to attempt to reduce the duplication for our customers we do offer to obtain personal codes as part of the ID verification service, so that they do not have to complete checks with both ourselves and Companies House.
In the event that if an individual has completed an ID verification with ourselves then we would be able to make use of this across any subsequent company formations providing the details used on those new companies allowed us to verify that they are the same person.

Excellent customer service and great service provided
I have been with companies made simple since 2022 and they have always been very easy to deal with and extremely helpful.
Today I spoke to Holly who was very knowledgeable about the closing down process and has helped me with a monthly subscription. I would 100% use them again in the future if I am to reopen company.

Personal service and support at it's best
I have had an excellent experience with this company and their team. I was recently away for two months travelling in a remote part of Asia, with intermittent Wi-Fi, and I was especially grateful for the support and reassurance I received in dealing with various company obligations while I was away.
This included specialist help with an ID check for a colleague, and throughout the whole process the service was efficient, personal and extremely helpful.
Of the many service companies I use, this one is genuinely way out in front — not only for the quality of the service, but also for the personal care, patience and willingness of the team to help when it is needed.

Setting up my own company
It can feel a little tricky at first to navigate the application process, but the staff are very helpful and were able to put me right. Once I was able to provide all the necessary ID verification, it was relatively straightforward process and my company was registered by Companies House the following morning. I look forward to using Companies MadeSimple going forward.
