We went there Wednesday and paid 90 pound for 3 wristbands hardly any rides where open, and u had to wait 44 minutes for a member of staff to come and start the 3 rides that where open, so all in all the kids got to go on 3 rides and it took a hours

Always a great day out here. The grandkids love soft play and we enjoy the arcade penny machines.

Such a shame that the management don’t practice what they preach after witnessing an incident on the trampoline where a kid with learning issues was treated appallingly by the staff member. Also reporting to management issues that were ignored then to top it off took my two grandchildren to the soft play which is a great attraction but cleanliness does not seem to be on top of the agenda, my two year old granddaughter found chewing gum stuck to the underside of the dining table, managed to pick it off put it in her mouth and proceeded to eat it. Fortunately I managed to get it out of her mouth. Then queuing up for food admittedly at a busy period to find only two staff behind the counter with one working while the other just standing around doing absolutely nothing just watching the public get more frustrated. Then on the rides one ride had at least three cars out of action which I know have been out of action for weeks as we regularly visit the pier, who is in charge? this not only frustrating to the public it is lost revenue to the pier.
It’s such a pity that the owners have done such a fantastic job and clearly care about the pier and Clacton. I stand and applaud them for that, unfortunately some of there staff do not follow suit I do hope this is seen by the owners and maybe just look a little deeper into what actually goes on as there are some very good young and older staff who operate the rides with a smile in all weathers and they should be commended for that where others seem lacking.Saying this I would not be deterred from visiting the pier again for many good reasons and i would personally like to thank the owners for having the patience and persistence in making Clacton pier one of the best attractions in the UK

Just love the Investment that they made on the Pier.

It's long needed some TLC, and seems to be getting it from the new owners.

Always a pleasure to visit - lots to do and great year round. The kids love the events especially the fireworks nights and the soft play adventure

I’m really impressed at how the pier has improved. Iv visited several times over the last few weeks and I’m extremely impressed. The pier is kept clean and tidy, the ques are always managed well and the staff are cheerful and engaging. It makes such a good experience. Well done to you all! The staff on Sunday evening honestly looked like they were having a fantastic time and kept the ques entertained. It was so lovely to see 😊

Visited with partner my 3 children my step son and his girlfriend. Our experience was terrible. One of my children is autistic and removed his wrist band and had a meltdown as he really wanted to ride go karts but wasn't tall enough, to calm him down we tapped his wristband to make him think he was able ride then distracted him with dodgems as also cars. The man operating dodgems said he was unable to ride due to his wrist band not being on properly radioed someone and we were allowed to ride.. we then took him to the ticket box to try have his band re put on but the lady in the box started accusing us of removing his wrist band ro ride the go karts didn't care that my son is autistic and un willing to listen. the manager of rides arrived but he was the same unwilling to listen and asked my whole group to leave the pier. Totally outrageous

Thank you for taking the timento reply to my last review. Since then,We have been to the pier a few times.Once for the family and again for my sons birthday party. Today we visited The dinosaurs attraction,it is well worth a visit. The staff were extremely friendly and very engaging, they made the experience even better and i hope they are aware of their importance.It is well worth the money for entry and the 4D experience was enjoyed by all the family. The pier itself is good fun, with a great choice of rides. Food is a bit expensive, but that's the case everywhere nowdays. A big thumbs up from my family and me. We will be back :)

I need complain today about a situation happens with us today on Clacton Pier.
My son is a disabled child using a wheelchair acess. He can't walk and is dificult for him enjoy some activities.
I didn't agree pay to the Soft Play if he stayed on the wheelchair and didn't go out for play (if that make sense). I have a right to watch my daughter with my son with Wheelchair on Soft Play area without pay but i paid and is not correct.
Is not because the money is because the really bad policy especially with children with disability.
The staff was ok and i didn't complain with them because they are working and following rules.
Who did this rules are completely out of the civism and just think about money..

Had a great time in the new Jurassic Pier experience, the dinosaur ranger was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The film ride is amazing and good fun. As a wheelchair user it was easy to get round but you need to be able to transfer to the film seat (which involves getting up one step) to get the full awesome experience. Afterwards, a lovely snack and drink at The Captains Table and a walk along the pier to take in the lovely sunny seaside views.

Awful day, we purchased the big day out bands the day before our visit, upon arrival we were informed the log flume and dodgems were closed for maintenence, not once did I see anyone working on these rides. We continued to try to go on other rides but for the miami you need 5 people to ride and the looping star this needs 8 people. As it was a week day and most children were at school this was not possible to go on these rides. This left about 4 rides to go on, what an absolute waste of money. We asked if we could have a refund so we could take the children elsewhere and were told no. I would never return, an awful day with very rude staff.

Was here 6 hours never saw any maintenance work carried out on log flume or Dodgems 2 of the biggest attractions not open .half rides not able to use as not enough people to go on rides e.g 8 to ride roller coaster etc .
£50 for very little rides available. PLEASE READ TERMS & CONDITIONS BEFORE BUYING WRISTBAND.
You may be very disappointed.
Staff are not all friendly. Toilets are disgusting. Urine soaked gents floor.
Very overpriced food and drinks.
Other than that. Was ok ish. Would i go again. Yes definitely.

Please make customers aware off terms and conditions.
After receiving a email from a senior member of staff. We have now resolved all of the issues to a very satisfactory outcome .

Pier soft play now charging each adult as well a putting prices up for children. So much for 20% off with annual pass! No wonder there’s no after school influx! Stupid money and now not accepting cash. Overpriced. Used to go regularly and do Home education meet ups…. That won’t be happening.

Clacton Pier Essex staff are very rude. We found most of them are rude and not at all helpful. Try to avoid them if you don’t want to spoil your holiday mood.

We had worst experience with Trampoline staff.

We purchased 5 wrist bands costing us £125 which covers all unlimited rides and also free entertainment inside.however due to a really unfortunate event that took place out with anyones control,they closed the whole pier and evacuated us all after us only being there for 20minutes.we hung around the area for 5 hrs waiting for an update but not 1 member of staff was to be seen.we have tried over and over again to get a refund due to us living 430 miles away,however they keep refusing and will only offer us vouchers 4 the rides which is of no use to us living so far away,even tho the unfortunate event had took place before we even arrived and wasn't even made aware that they mite close the pier when we were purchasing the wristbands.if they had made us aware we would not of purchased and took the children else where.the customer service is beyond shocking,and there was no care given whatsoever.if I could put no stars I would

Bought big day out wristbands 19/04/22 Whist overall a good concept and value the day was continually frustrated by rides being open and shut on rotation as understaffed, followed by slow ride loading which wasted a lot of our day, so it has to be questioned should full charge be made for this? Highlight of day was asking young employee on marine life centre what time it closed to be told ‘haven’t got a clue’. Poor.

Horrific experience with the fortune teller ‘Romany Charlotte’. I paid her £15, she asked me to show her my palms & then spoke so fast I could barely keep up with her. The whole thing was over in 2 minutes & she didn’t even try & make it a nice experience. Every single word she said was incorrect & she actually said a lot of damaging things including the fact my friend would never get pregnant despite the fact she’s now pregnant from IVF. My friend quietly said to her on the way out of the pier that she should be careful what she’s telling people & was totally incorrect about everything she said. He then walked away & she shouted over to me. I couldn’t hear her so I went over & she smiled & said thank you for saying such a nice thing about me. I said what? I said that not one thing you said to me was true. She then said “I knew who you were as soon as you walked through the door - an ugly F***g b**ch”. I was floored. I said well thanks for that but you couldn’t have been anymore wrong with your reading. She then said “You’re racist because I’m a gypsy”. I said I’m not racist & I don’t care that you’re a gypsy. She kept shouting it at me with both doors now open so everyone could hear her. I walked away & she shouted “yeah go be with your old man, you like older men do you?!”. I couldn’t believe it. We went & found a manager & 2 lovely girls sat down to talk to us about it. Romany Charlotte then appeared from nowhere & demanded one of them go with her, she said sorry I’m busy right now so she grabbed her arm & said NOW. She marched off with her & the other member of staff said wow I’ve never seen her be aggressive like that before, if she’s being aggressive I need to go help my member of staff & off she went. I dread to think what rubbish she told them but playing the racist card was not acceptable & it was all a well rehearsed speech of insults. She should not be working on a family pier full stop!!

‘Charlotte’ has now she’s got her mates leaving reviews & commenting on all of mine as damage control! At the end of the day Rosa has been on that pier for years. She isn’t there since Covid & my experience was with Charlotte who is honestly vile. My review is an honest account of my experience & I don’t need to lie.

The pier seems cramped compared to what it use to be like, not that many rides there. I can’t understand why the log flume and Miami ride do not allow carers to ride? I can’t say I would rush back if I am honest.

Walk in the bridge is nice. However, a very rude staff works in the games area!!!
The rudest I’ve ever seen in my life. Charged me to play bowling, and the rubbish machine got stuck after 5 minutes. We called the guy and said will fix it soon. Long wait (for him having a long chat with two female costumes) he said time is out and we need to shut down 15 min before the closing time!
I complained about not being able to play and should be at least refunded for this rubbish service. That is when the boss said “go out, not only the bowling area, but out of the front door!!!!
How rude is that!!!
Having guests and their kids and didn’t want to ruin their day, I thanked him and left!!!
But I wont leave it their will complain to the company and sue them if necessary, not for the money but for being very rude scammers.
