La pire des agences de location que j’ai eu l’occasion de rencontrer à l’étranger. Ce sont des voleurs à tous les niveaux, taxes de partout, double facturation des frais de réservation, paiement de carburant que nous ne consommons pas et le chapeau, triple frais administratif quand nous avons eu le malheur d’avoir une amende de stationnement dont nous n’avions pas connaissance.

Des escrocs, à éviter de tout urgence.

Il prezzo dell’auto non è reale come nella prenotazione, arrivati da vicino ci sono sempre costi aggiuntivi.
L’assicurazione di citygo tramite carjet è fasulla.
Si inventano danni all’auto solo per tenere la cauzione che supera i 1000 euro! Nessuna assistenza !

Booked a car through Citygo Rentals via Carjet for a business trip to Malta. Originally told it would be 89 Euros for the week for a small car. We didn't require anything larger, as there were only two of us. When we got to Malta, the first thing we found was that the original price was nowhere near what we were quoted. There were so many add ons that the actual price was 231 Euros. A location fee of 25 Euros, (not even sure what that is). An out of hours fee of 25 Euros for dropping the car off at 0730. There were no people to hand the keys over to. It was a drop box! An absolute disgrace. I had booked additional insurance, but this wasn't enough to cover the CDW, which was an additional 98 Euros on top of what we had paid. There was also a fuel payment of 48 Euros. The car was only quarter full and fuel is so cheap in Malta you would struggle to pay that amount if you filled it three times! Then there was the car! We requested a small car we got a Skoda Fabia estate. It was old with 74,000 Km on the clock. There was no windscreen fluid in the bottle to clean the screen. It smelled dirty and the seats were grubby. The car was an automatic, but was so badly serviced, it sometimes did not engage its gears. The additional insurance was to negotiate 3000 Euros damage payment in the event of any damage to car. I would estimate the car only being worth 2000 euros if that! All In all this is the worst car hire company I have ever used. I have travelled the world extensively and used hire cars many times. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. If you are travelling to Malta, I would suggest you use one of the established companies, Sixt, Europcars, Hertz etc and steer well clear of this backyard company.

These guys are scam artists, countless reviews all over platforms giving the many reasons. I fell for some of these and never hired a car. I backed out . Card fraud.

Never seen nothing like this, horrible experience, didn't have the car I reserve (9 seat) instead 2 small cars, old (more than 100.000 KM), dirty, and full of scratches with headlights broken and without lights, had to pay half tank of fuel x2 expensive as hell. Want a deposit of 3800€ that was more than the value of the two cars.
To avoid that, my rent costs double. Horrible experience. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Really poor…. I knew what I was in for with rip off petrol costs up front, out of hours fees etc but still surprised by a sneaky additional 25 euros for airport fee (they’re based at the airport so why another feee???)… quoted rental of €30 quickly turned in to €137.50 …. The worst is that I was not allowed to use one card .. a travel debit card for fees, and another for the extortionate deposit…. “We don’t do that”… why not?? Why can I not pay for the hire with a debit card (with preferential conversion rates) and use the credit card for the €1700 deposit… unhelpful and rude chap says “no!”

Hoping this review doesn’t result in them trying to rip me of some more when I return the car …. But on advice so other local users have taken plenty of photos just in case!

I'm used to rent cars. Even in Malta where I'm based. For the first time I had to refuse to accept the conditions just at the counter.
I felt completely ripped off.
The company tried to charge the double on my Credit Card saying they charge for fuel in advance. So they told me they would charge me half of a fuel tank. But the amount they would change me was, based on current fuel prices in Malta, the double or more of what I'd pay at a fuel station. A total rip off.

Also they kept trying to convince me to accept that and said it was written in the reservation, which I did not find anywhere. And not checking rentcars site, it is not mentioned either.

Be very aware. If you are 1 second late, your car will be gone. Not worth the risk of using.

CityGo Car Rentals picked me up from a local garage when my car had gone on the blink. Not only did I find their staff to be friendly and professional, but they also let me have a child boaster seat free of charge as I'd left mine at home. They met me out of trading hours on a Sunday when I dropped the car off too. All in all I'd give them 10 out of 10. Thank you very much for rescuing us! :-)

RUN AWAY !!!! Despite negative reviews, I still wanted to try the experience with this car rental thieves agency. And I should’t have. They forced me to take a full insurance of 150 euros !!! The half-full, they made me pay 49 euros instead of 20€.
But worst of all, I received two speed excès fines for speeding 5 km / h, I should have paid 32.14 euros x 2 but they took me 100 euros plus fees !!!!! !! They are thieves.
Do not think that you will pay the money written on your reservation, they make up excuses to make you pay for full insurance. And do not try to get a speeding ticket fine like me otherwise they take 50 euros of fees. They are thieves !!!!
