We recently completed a 4-day tour of Zhangjiajie as one of our itineraries arranged by China Travel.com and we had the absolute pleasure of having Tutu as our private guide. Zhangjiajie is breathtaking, but navigating its massive vertical parks, cable cars, and elevators can be overwhelming. Tutu made the entire experience seamless, stress-free, and truly unforgettable for our family.
What truly set Tutu apart was her genuine passion and incredible warmth. It is immediately obvious that she absolutely loves her job—her enthusiasm for sharing her hometown's beauty is contagious! She was exceptionally caring throughout the trip, constantly checking in on the comfort and pacing of our group (2 seniors, my wife and I, and our daughter) to ensure we never felt rushed. She even went out of her way to bring thoughtful local snacks to keep our energy up during the hikes.
From day one, her organization was top-notch. She expertly timed our visits to avoid the worst of the crowds—especially at major spots like Tianzi Mountain and the Bailong Elevator—which saved us hours of standing in line. Her local knowledge, radiant personality, and attention to detail made all the difference. If you are planning a trip to Zhangjiajie, we cannot recommend Tutu enough. All concerns and questions were acted upon in a timely manner. The choice of tour guides was perfect. As a solo traveler it was critical that my movements between locations be coordinated as to not leave me unescourted at any time to which they performed with great care.

I am fully satisfied with both the choice of trains and the organized tours. The level of professionalism is extremely high, there is a truly significant focus on the customer, and responses are always quick! Amazing Zhangjiajie, Furong and Fenghuang experience. Our tour guide Alice Liu made our trip a wonderful experience. She is very friendly, knowledgeable, kind and very caring . She goes above and beyond the call of duty to assist us . Alice exceeds beyond expectations, I highly recommend Alice Liu to our friends who are planning to visit Zhangjiajie.

Our guide Grace was excellent. We visited the Giant Buddah, Panda Base which were wonderful. In addition, our tour guide, Grace, took time to visit the Anshun Bridge at night so we could take pictures. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

I just got back from my solo trip to Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai on an 8 day tour.
I booked the trip back in February, and the booking process was easy to do and understand, and was reasonably priced. Vivi Chen was my coordinator and she answered all my questions promptly via email or whats app. I was nervous for my first international trip and was worried about scams and making sure I had all my ducks in a row. The hotels were all pretty nice and located to alot of shopping/ restaurants etc.

Beijing- My guide was Thomas, he was professional, polite, and gave me alot of history of the sites we saw, he even had photos and maps to show me things from history. The driver was good and drove safely, there was a crazy amount of traffic and scooters on the road.

Xi'an- My guide was Mark, he was polite, professional and was flexible when I didn't want to go to spend more time with Terra Cotta warriors because I was getting pushed/squished too much in the crazy crowds and didn't want to go to any more markets (markets were too busy for me and we were there for too long). He found me a musical play to go to on one of the nights that I enjoyed. The driver was a bit too aggressive for me though, I got alot of motion sickness because of all the swerving and speeding, and skipped dinner because of it.

Shanghai- My guide was Qi, she was great, she sat in the backseat with me in the car which neither of the other guides did. It was a small thing that made me feel more at ease, because it is very awkward having the guide in the front with the driver and they turn to talk to you to give you history of where you're going so it's hard to hear and concentrate that way. She was also very flexible with the tour based on the golden week crowds and gave me advice to go to the Shanghai Era acrobatic circus, which I liked. The driver was my favorite by far, very professional, dressed professionally and drove the safest and most responsibly- no motion sickness.

We can only highly recommend the services offered. Our very competent travel advisor Vivi complied a very individual travel itinerary for us. We had many special wishes as we wanted to travel partly with a guide and partly without. She was attentive to all the sights and experiences we requested. The travel arrangements with train, plane and private transfers were exceptional. Everthing went according to plan and we were 100% happy. We travelled extensively over longer distances and were always met on time by very competent guides. A big thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back!

We had a wonderful experience from the very beginning. Planning the trip was incredibly easy. We simply told Vanessa the four cities we wanted to visit, and she put together a great itinerary for us, with excellent hotel choices in very convenient locations — on Nanjing Road in Shanghai, next to Pingjiang Road in Suzhou, next to West Lake in Hangzhou, and Xihai Hotel on Huangshan.

The local guides were fantastic too. They were professional, friendly, knowledgeable and, most importantly, very flexible. Rather than feeling like we were being taken around by tour guides, it often felt like we had family friends showing us around and sharing their cities with us.

What really made this trip special was the personal touch. It was our wedding anniversary, and Vanessa arranged surprises for us at our hotels, some bonus activities, and even an anniversary cake. We certainly weren't expecting all that, and it gave the trip some real “wow” moments.

A big thumbs up to Vanessa and the whole team for making our holiday so memorable. We will definitely be back for more!

We booked with China Travel and Vivi Chen was our travel advisor. We requested a Silk Road tour (Xi’an, Dunhuang, Turpan, Urumqi) for 3 people with an addition of a 3day Beijing tour. I was able to communicate with Vivi by email and phone. We provided our interests and she put together an amazing travel package. When we requested some travel upgrades and transfer changes. she was able to secure the changes. I found Vivi to be very responsive.
The trip itinerary was accurate as presented with nice additional activities that were not listed but greatly appreciated as they added to our already awesome experiences. All the essential must-see sights were covered from the Terra-cotta Warriors to the Great Wall and everything in between. We found all our local guides very personable and professional. They worked hard to always make sure we were enjoying ourselves and ready to answer our questions. We never felt rushed. When we were at the different tourist sites, they would point out the perfect places to snap photos, and they ready to take photos of our little group when requested. We want to give a big shoutout to our guides Ken and Mervyn in Xi’an, Kevin in Dunhuang, Anna in Turpan/Urumqi and Jonvey in Beijing. Everyone was professional and respectful. Their kindness and caring service really made the difference in shaping an excellent travel experience and creating memories for an unforgettable trip. For example on our last day in Beijing, we wanted to go to a shopping mall and even though the tour was officially over, Jonvey accompanied us and helped us navigate the metro. Luckily for us, it was in the same direction that he was going home but he made that extra time and effort to make sure we didn’t get lost. Like the tour guides, the drivers were friendly and extremely skilled. We were not used to the way people drove their cars, motorcycles, scooters and bicycles in China (in our eyes it looked like organized chaos)but our drivers were patient and calm the whole time. The hotels were of high quality, had excellent amenities, they were clean and provided very tasty breakfast services. The area of the hotels were very walkable and we were able to enjoy the local vibes during our free evenings. Our guides selected excellent restaurants. We were surprised by the generous portions and variety in all the restaurants and the guides always made sure that we had enough to eat. They helped explain the menu items and ordered for us. The food was fresh and tasty. My son who is a very picky eater ate everything!
I would recommend China Travel for anyone looking for a personalized travel experience without any of worries or hassle that comes with trying to make transportation, hotel, and sight-seeing arrangements. Once we booked the tour with China Travel, the only things we had left to do was to enjoy our holidays and to create wonderful memories. We had a very successful 12 day family trip to China focus on Cultural and Natural Wonders. Special thanks to our travel advisor, Vanessa, for her excellent work in organizing and planning the entire trip, also accommodated our special request so well. She amazed me with her exceptional skill in English language, communication and dedication for quality. The entire trip ran very smoothly from tour schedules to all transportations. Also many thanks to our local guides in every city and drivers for their hard work, warm welcoming and caring support. The hotels and meal arrangements were pretty good. We are a group of 6 (mostly senior citizen). Nanjing is our 3rd city in our trip. Was quite worry when we first met our young and energetic guide Martin due to our slow pace. Fortunately, all turn out great as Martin provides all the needed assistance and able to brand in to our comfortable pace almost immediately. We enjoy our 4D3N stays in Nanjing and really enjoy all the sites we visited. Again, thanks to Martin who has guided us for good photo shot hotspot, great explaination along the tour and most importantly the patient he has shown throughout our Nanjing tour. TQVM Martin.

Tony was a fantastic guide for us making us feel looked after and certain about where to go and what to look at. We got to see many landmarks; trees, rock formations, viewing points, on Huangshan despite the weather being rainy for some time. He also helped arranged a lovely celebration for my parents and their wedding anniversary while on the trip. Memorable trip for us! Thank you Tony!!

We had 3 nights in Chengdu. Everything was excellent. Eric, our tour guide, drove us to visit Panda base, Wu Hou temple,the back stage opera and Jinli street. Last day we visited Leshan Buddha and the people Garden in Chengdu where we had amazing time tasting tea and playing Majong! Eric has been excellent: kind, very professional, easy to communicate with, he took care of every details. He made us to completely enjoy the staying in Chengdu giving us also a very interesting vision of the local culture. Great the local food we tasted and the restaurant he drove us! Many thanks Eric!!

We had the pleasure of having Ann as our tour guide in Zhangjiajie and we really enjoyed it. She was kind, helpful, and courteous at all times, always smiling and never pushy. We particularly appreciated her openness to questions and her willingness to foster a genuine cultural exchange and interaction. It was a pleasure spending time with her and getting to know her. A professional, friendly, and pleasant guide, we definitely recommend!

This is my second time traveling with Suki and the second time I’m extremely happy and grateful for the time spent with her. Last time I came with my best friend and this time with my family. In both times Suki took great care of us and showed us the wonders of Huangshan. She shared with us her knowledge about the area with great English and also helped us to learn about Chinese culture and everyday life. Needless to say that she catered for all our needs to make our time enjoyable and worry free. I highly recommend her!!

We spent three days in Zhangjiajie with our guide Ann, a wonderful, lovely, knowledgeable and patient person. The best guide you could hope for. Highly recommended!
