We started our fertility journey with Zita West clinic, CARE fertility were in the process of acquiring ZW and the transition whilst we undergoing treatment was seamless. Our first round failed but we were able to adapt our treatment plan for the second round which was ultimately successful, our son was born in June 2024. We were very happy with Dr Simone Rofena and the entire CARE team of doctors, nurses and staff so when trying for our second child we reverted back to CARE. Following a very similar protocol, we were able to conceive on the first round and had our daughter in July 2026. We are very grateful to the whole team at CARE who have given us so much! Thank you!

This is now our 3rd FET cycle with care fertility Manchester (1 cancelled FET due to low progesterone and 2 actual transfers) all of the staff have been amazing on each attempt but this last transfer team Debbie & Nicola were exceptional and deserve this review as recognition for their amazing work and bedside manner. If It would be possible to request Debbie and Nicola for any future transfers we have that would be ideal, these two ladies went the extra mile to explain everything they were doing during the transfer, they gave us a lovely ultrasound picture of our embryo being placed in its resting spot to keep forever and was both so caring and thoughtful to make the experience extra special for us. Our embryo transfer did result in our first pregnancy after 3 and a half years of infertility which was a real milestone moment for us and probably one of the happiest days of my life, I have always dreamed of being a mum however sadly this pregnancy ended in an early miscarriage. We are extremely sad that this pregnancy wasn’t able to continue but this is in no way a reflection of the treatment we received at care, sadly these things are more common that we realise. Every treatment round seems to get us one step further than the last when protocols are amended so I have every faith the care fertility will eventually get us to the finish line so that we can finally be a family. We still have some remaining frozen embryos stored safely at Care so hopefully our next try will be our lucky moment.

Yvonne did a great job taking my husband’s blood, especially as he has a severe needle phobia. She was really supportive and reassuring, and managed to get the blood very quickly. She also took mine without any issues. Such a lovely lady and definitely in the right job!

My wife and I had our embryo transfer this afternoon. Per suggestion from staff, I brought my phone into the theatre to document this monumental, pivotal, incredibly intimate moment. After my wife was on the table and I was sat at the seat near her head, I started to record the procedure. A support nurse in the theatre immediately shouted at me that I was not allowed to video or photograph any of the procedure aside from a highly pixelated, blurry photo of the embryo as they initiated the transfer. This behavior was frightening and created a tense, uncomfortable environment. We have loved our journey with Care Fertility and have never experienced anything but excellent treatment until today. What was meant to be a beautiful core memory for us was stolen cruelly. I’m personally quite nervous to continue our journey now as I cannot be sure staff won’t give conflicting information.

All the staff at care fertility in Plymouth were fantastic. I messaged the embryologist a couple of times and had had a response within minutes. My whole process of IVF was less stressful as we felt truly supported by a professional and friendly team. I would definitely recommend using their services.

Care fertility have been amazing from the start, they really have earned their name! They have made me and my husband feel so comfortable from the beginning, they have been very informative and very quick with everything! If I have a question they are more then happy to respond back to me on the app or on the phone! I have not met one staff member who hasn’t been absolutely lovely! Especially morag and Louise who have been our main contacts throughout this! I had a very difficult egg retrieval, and everyone went and told my husband that everything was okay, and my egg transfer was so easy! I got a bit emotional and the ladies in there were quick to get me a tissue! I cannot fault it one bit

I chose Care Fertility for ovulation induction treatment - while I have no particular criticism of the clinical outcome of the monitored cycles themselves, my overall experience has been extremely disappointing. My concerns are around communication, continuity, administration, record handling and patient experience.
I underwent three monitored Letrozole cycles. Across the three cycles I developed an appropriate dominant follicle and had good endometrial thickness, with trigger injections given appropriately. Care Fertility subsequently confirmed in writing that I had a suitable monofollicular response in all three cycles and that there was no clinical indication to increase my Letrozole dose.
My frustration is therefore not that I didn't become pregnant. I fully understand that fertility treatment cannot guarantee pregnancy. It is what happened around the treatment that has left me so disappointed.
There were repeated issues with communication and continuity, and I frequently found myself having to chase information, records, medication and next steps.
I experienced problems with the prescription process, including issues with the prescription provided (incomplete/unsigned) that meant pharmacies were unable or unwilling to accept/dispense it. I had to contact pharmacies myself and spend time trying to resolve the problem.
For time-sensitive fertility treatment, having to sort out prescription issues myself was unnecessarily stressful.
I also had an unusually difficult experience having blood taken at the clinic. The member of staff repeatedly insisted that I had poor veins and made several attempts, including multiple attempts through my hands. This was frustrating because I have not historically had problems having blood taken from my arms, including subsequently elsewhere.
I also experienced a separate administrative issue following a GDPR/privacy error, where my email address was apparently disclosed to another person. As a result, I decided to request that a blood test be provided free of charge. Despite this having been agreed, I was billed for the blood test anyway and had to remind the clinic that it was supposed to be free.
I requested copies of my scan records and had significant difficulty obtaining them.
After waiting, I was eventually contacted to ask whether they had been sent to me. I confirmed on the same day that I had received nothing. I then heard nothing further for weeks and had to continue waiting/chasing before the records were eventually provided. When they were eventually sent, some of the information was incomplete.
There was a persistent lack of follow-up - After completing my third monitored cycle, I received no proactive follow-up from Care Fertility.
Nobody contacted me to ask the outcome of the cycle, nobody contacted me to establish whether I was pregnant, and nobody contacted me to discuss continuing treatment — despite the original plan involving further medicated cycles.
I ultimately had to initiate contact myself and ask detailed questions about my three cycles and request information about what had actually happened during them.
It then took months for me to receive a substantive response from the Medical Director, who reviewed my treatment and confirmed that the three cycles had been conducted according to their clinical protocol. However, that response addressed whether the treatment itself was clinically appropriate; it did not address the wider concerns I had raised about communication, continuity and follow-up.
I paid privately for fertility treatment because I expected a high level of communication and continuity of care. Instead, I repeatedly felt that I was managing the process myself:
-chasing prescriptions
-contacting pharmacies
-chasing records
-following up on missing information
-checking charges
-correcting administrative mistakes
-asking for information about my own treatment
-chasing the clinic myself after my final treatment cycle.
Fertility treatment is already emotionally and financially demanding. Patients shouldn't have to become their own care coordinator on top of everything else.
After spending well over £1,000 on treatment, I expected considerably better.
Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not choose Care Fertility again and I would struggle to recommend them to someone going through an already vulnerable and emotionally difficult process.

Edit- unfortunately the reply of " we'll escalate to clinical director" is just for readers to think they take action. I've had no action /compensation/real reply.

Friendly information staff who act sensitively to the whole process

Just want to give some well deserved feedback to Beverley at care Manchester.
Beverley was so friendly and really helped us be at ease when doing our IUI, we didn’t feel like just another patient.

Such a fab woman and helped us on our 4th IUI, we are now 7weeks pregnant.

All the experince went well, all the staff are extremly helpful and caring. Very professional and attent.

Care fertility makes what can be a difficult process so much easier. Every staff member we encountered on our multiple visits showed an exemplary degree of care, attention and patience that completely transformed our experience. Highly recommend giving Care fertility a try.

I am leaving this review to share my very poor experience for anyone considering this clinic.

We booked and paid for a private appointment in advance, and attended at the agreed date and time – only to be told the clinic had no record of our arrival. The attitude shown was unprofessional, with staff essentially blaming and shifting responsibility onto my partner and me, rather than the clinic taking accountability for its own actions and negligence; it felt like nothing more than a blame game.

To begin with, the information provided about the package we chose was misleading and mismatched, which then meant we had to return for a separate appointment to proceed, and pay extra for services to continue our care.

I found communication unclear, the service unreliable, and I felt very unsupported at an already difficult time navigating fertility issues. I expected better organisation and respect for patients’ time and money – especially when paying for private care.

The team has always been supportive, prepared, kind and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. The atmosphere is very nice and calm that for sure helps us on this journey.
I definitely recommend Care!

Everyone was truly wonderful from the first appointment to the last. All lovely humans and very professional. Lovely setting and always felt super informed and helpful with any questions. Couldn’t have wished for anything better, truly. Thankyou.
