Came for the weekend and I'd never return. It's so run down, filthy accommodation (brown gooey grime around taps, dirty sofa cushions etc) and full of a certain clientele; arguing and fighting in front of families and children. I had my reservations about going but went, and it just confirmed what I thought It would be like. We stayed in Minehead and it was grim.

The resort in general is good most of the properties need a general clean up ie woodwork outside needs to be repaired and painted
The interior of our basic room was basic ie 1 x plug socket to use for kettle (supplied) i took 4 port extension lead glad i did
Mattress was firm
Hot water turn tap
2 rough toliet fools in toliet
Did not like the fact that there have interior joining rooms from 2 sides back and side by using a star key
Electric heater on wall full blast warm room just right

Now Resort
The skyline park in my eyes was very dangerous for the age its marked for under 12s as to get to top of slides it's a rope type thingy (only way to describe) one slip and it's hospital needed as could fall from around 40 foot no netts just ropes
Skyline cafe staff very rude
Redcoats all fine interactions with kids and adults spot on
Shows great but be aware the children's panto in my opinion to many adult jokes and sexual remarks

As it was xmas festival week they knew they had pretty full resort so why do they have bars open with 10 tills but only 1 bar member to operate
(Retail stores loads staff ) bars 1-2
Take it as you want i think retail takes cash bar was mainly all inclusive bands (less bar staff means less alcohol to give away to prepaid guests) or guests not able to get as much
You now need to have wristband and carry your mobile with you as separate qr code needed

Cannot use Costa central for all inclusive drinks
All inclusive bands only get pre mixed cocktails (water down)
Cash get fresh made

Cash points charge you £1.50 to withdraw

Mythical animal show experience good but just money making as sell very over priced teddy's you can get down road in skegness for less that half the price

I am writing this before we have even been to butlins. I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of empathy and flexibility of this company.

We are booked to go to their festive winter wonderland this year. Unfortunately for our family my newborn is currently in the Leicester Royal with long term medical issues and will be in there for a while.

My husband rang butlins and explained the situation we were in. The operative informed him that to change the dates to next year he would need a doctor's letter to prove our son is in hospital and unable to attend. That was bad enough but I slightly understood.

My in-laws offered to take our eldest this year so he didn't miss out. My husband rang butlins again and was told that to change the names on the booking he still had to get a doctor/consultant letter to prove we couldn't make it. This was just to change the names. We haven't even asked for a refund though I definitely think we should get one after this disgusting behaviour.

I am also going to point out that the holiday is fully paid so the company itself won't even be loosing any money. We will NEVER be booking with this company again.

How can a company of this size be one of the most....... I don't even have words to describe them. My advice to anyone even considering to book with this company is DON'T.

After raising a complaint regarding the lack of staffing and amenities
Following at Butlins Skegness they responded promptly and I tried to follow their recommendation to contact onsite customer services, we made two separate attempts to do so. On both occasions, the office was locked and unattended, despite the signage indicating that it should have been open.

This experience further indicates that the site is operating with significantly reduced staffing levels. I have spent considerable time online attempting to access various amenities, and once again today, only two rides at the fairground were operational. Although the Panto was fully booked, only one bar was open, resulting in a 32-minute wait to obtain a drink. In addition, the Panto had to be restarted after ten minutes due to a power failure.

Given the number of service failures and the overall standard of the experience provided, I consider a refund not only appropriate but necessary.

We visited butlins in aug 2025 .its was worst experience ever .kids ended up getting sick .beds were full of bed bugs got bites .we ended up leaving early due to poor hygiene and awful customer service. Save your money and don’t go .

I placed a booking with Butlins Skegness, and my children are severely Autistic.

Unfortunately due to some other personal circumstances I couldn't go ahead with the booking.

David in customer services had an in depth conversation with me, understood my needs and the personal circumstances and then proceeded to get the holiday cancelled.

I'm upset we couldn't go but this level of service will certainly mean I'll be booking Butlins for another occasion.

Like a prison yard !
From the moment we arrived we felt unsafe.
The place was full of noisy drug addicts and drunks playing music on their balconies and shouting and swearing non stop. The whole scene reminds you of a prison, as that’s how the courts are laid out, with scumbags brawling on the landings etc and threatening to kill each other with hammers etc. we left early in the morning as topless testosterone fuelled gangs of men were punching each other in the yards below. Security were informed but never turned up. Maybe stay at haven if you need to visit skegness. Refused to refund etc. any reviews you see posted here praising this company are obviously fake so take them with a pinch of salt.

My sister booked a holiday for her family , tragically her husband died very unexpectedly ,she had luckily taken out insurance when she contacted butlins for a refund they had the cheek to take £65 admin charge off of the amount!! I am absolutely disgusted by this a huge company couldn't let the admin charge slide when her whole world has been shaken up .

Have a holiday book for the 15-19th of December this year 49 days away found out my radiotherapy will clash with a dates of the holiday call up to see if I can move or credit the cost to another holiday to be told nothing they can do not willing to talk to me in anyway just saying that I’d rather lose the holiday can go and it’s all my fault if you’re booking a holiday with them don’t get cancer before you go because they’re not willing to help was told that it because it was under 70 days they couldn’t do nothing even though it’s 49 days away they can probably sell it again. They answer through the phone to cancel my radiotherapy so I can go on holiday which quite willing to send proof but not interested in anyway and no complaints procedure just giving me an email address for feedback to bookings.com. I can see now why the reviews are so good on here be careful you’re booking the holiday was fully paid for so they’re not willing to help in any way shape or form.

Great escape for the whole family..good value, and traditional, lots to do to keep kids, and adults occupied.
We regularly go on cruises so it was a very nice change!
Most activities were inside so the weather was never a problem.
Good value, Great UK holiday resort doing really well, our visit was packed with happy families enjoying the end of summer fun with lots of children.
Staff were brilliant working very, very hard to please!
Food was excellent with vast selection certainly no complaints ..theatre shows were of west end quality.
We will definitely visit again for another holiday I think possible try Skegness for next year!

I’d called twice & had spoken to different customer service advisors, then had the courtesy call a few days before. They all told me that there was going to be a Gladiators show, which in reality after an 8 hour journey with the family there was NOT!
The family all felt let down by Butlins and was left disappointed.
Also the accommodation was absolutely 🤢
Was not clean & property maintenance had been let go along time ago! Hoped to avoid this by staying in one of the higher level Accommodations. Not worth £1300 for 3 nights best of all Butlins refused to offer any compensation!

All inclusive drinks deal what a joke don't waste your money , only available to our children was squash , can't have fruit shoots, then ordering an coffee you have to pay extra for syrup , and you can't have bottled water , J20 is a no also , and dark rum,maybe butlins need a lesson in what all inclusive means , and the wait time at the bar was behond a joke

We had buffet dinner for a week. But last fews days while I was there the food was under cooked.

Been going to Butlins for 20 years now. Sometimes twice a year. Never had a problem.
Had to swap resorts due to having a hire car that would not reach the one I booked. This was 5 days before holiday.
Was happy to pay the £20 for the charge and the uplift in the accommodation price on the day, this would have been £157.
However told by customer services I had to pay £453 (this cannot be shown to me) as this was the price on the day I initially made the booking. I was not pleased with this Over the next couple of days I have been in contact with Butlins. They have remained steadfast on the T&Cs, no bend at all for a valued customer as they called me.
I am a parent to a 21 year old and a 5 year old, this now means Butlins are going to miss out in a number of years of me returning with my child.
Customer care absolutely non existent.

Minehead butlins...20 till the 24th of October i paid for a 2 bed apartment too stay from monday 2 friday........on arrival i was ment to be staying in room 204 but the people from 203 stole my room before I arrived ....they refused to give my room bck staff said ...they had no problems and left to stay ...turns out cleaner gave them my accommodation.....the main room had been used boxers left in the room and sperm on the sofa it was so bad the staff said they wouldn't sit on it either let alone let children sit on it....if ur on site and speak to staff they no help they just make things worse by saying things like it' happens all the sofas are like that or we have people asking us for stuff all the time like toilet paper towels ...that nt my issue thats their job ....or they say phone this number phone that number their no help but a team of people who make out they understand but in reality they don't care its just stressful upsetting discusting...spent hour standing around for room keys as the ones they gave didn't work ...I don't see how they can say they family resort...theirs alot wrong in how the customer service is run and how they have little motivation to resolve the situation...it's literally 2 days in and things are still the same only thing they have done was offer me the same apartment in a different block which took hour and half to find to turn out that that one was worse broken fridge ..smelt of dirty pipes and God knows what else ..look as if someone put pictures on the wall sprayed around them and threw the pictures out unless the cream square on the walls were for show dirty floors dirty oven ..only thing that was clean was the sofa ...I don't know what's worse 😕 I will never visit a butlins resort again they say family resort it ain't its more like a place for sex parties and alcohol...anyone thinking of going their dont bother they don't help ud be better off camping than wasting ur money hear...so if u want to sleep in someone else's shite /be stressed/ cry nd wana leave ...this the place to be be but if u want clean fun stress free holiday go camping or trecco bay as their awsome helpful and ull have a holiday ull enjoy...

We paid for gold at minehead 80 weekend this weekend how ever I would not recommend anyone to go to this one the apartment we had was descusding 3 rooms with just a bed in it crap all up the walls and radiators no kitchen there was nothing not a thing just beds not even any seats not even the basic kitchen stuff ie sink fridge cups plates not a thing most probably the worst place i have ever been stay as far away from this place 😡😡😡😡

We have been before a number of times. But it is looking beyond tired and dirty at the moment.
The deluxe cabin/sheds are ok, nothing deluxe about them. But you do get an early morning wake up call from the bin carts every morning from around 0600.

Yes they have invested in the playxperience, and we did a few of the activities. But even parts of that are already looking tired and it's only a year old.

The food and service is also the worst we have ever received. The beachcomber appears to to have gone down the wetherspoons route, the food came out alarming fast and was warm at best and frankly poor quality. We had better burgers in burger king, which isn't a great achievement.

The service at every bar was painfully slow regardless of how busy they were, and bar rosso seemed to think they were going to be selling gallons of cocktails as there were half a dozen jugs with cut fruit prepared behind the bar. The fruit fly's seem to love it. The cocktails in studio 36 however were pre made, so anything that contains a soft drink was flat. Even the barman wasn't surprised when we returned our drinks, everyone's does apparently.

Oh and one night in centre stage, there was a strong smell of cannabis, so strong it was like it was being pumped in,odd. On our last morning you could smell it again walking past the back doors of centre stage, I guess it must take to edge of for the backstage staff.

It's not cheap, it's not cheerful...

All in all the worse Butlins break we've had...

when me and my family got there we was putting our food in the fridge when has the fridge get cleaned lots of beer and food not ours were in the fridge and fridge don't work and kids running up and down the alley way made lots of noise and i was sleeping near the window on the top floor the kids were banging making noise i don't know why and no trolleys to bring our stuff up and we had to use a shopping tolley thanks

Common people doing drugs fighting not enough rides sinks don't work gross place not looked after properly and the people are vile

There’s a lot of activities for different age groups for kids and teenagers including sensory playgrounds for SEN children. There is a variety of cuisines and the food courts are according to how your pocket is. But they’re all serving good food with complimentary non alcoholic bevs.

The whole place could do with some structural upgrading- looks very knackered. The room is basic and beds plus showers are great. The beach is at walking distance also with high street restaurants and supermarkets nearby.

The water is very chlorinated in the swimming pool. Changing rooms smell of urine. Changing rooms very unhygienic. Be ready to get verruca as my wife and kids did.
