Hi in Answer to my reply from Mark Travis Perkins I always check my spam box I am no ameture on the webb,I can check deleted items as far back as may and more,I have double checked and there is no notification on delivery days dates or time from your company or any offers of assistance, health and safety lifting limits are 25killos for individuals ,you are totally exploiting your staff ie the driver ,I would advise you to try lifting off a sheet of this 8x4 marine ply your self then go and deliver ten sheets of osb boards so you no what it is like, the driver should have a mate lifting gear electric hi ab and wheeled board trollies, sorry but my comets and star rating still stands don't worry about the customer which has back pains today and probably the driver I tryd heath and safety officers yesturday but no one answers the phones its apparent training is needed asp.

You say you're not an amateur on the web. Neither are we. We've been in business selling building materials on the web for almost 20 years. With that in mind, we understand the importance of communication as well as anybody. This is the reason, and I state again, we send delivery confirmation emails for ALL THE ORDERS we process. On my previous response to your 1-star rating, I copied the actual email I sent you along with date and time stamp. Just because you say you can't find it, it doesn't mean it was wasn't sent!
Why would we not send emails detailing deliveries? They're often delivered on wagons weighing up to 32 tonnes so it is in our interest to make sure our customers are aware of how, and when the deliveries will be made. Imagine the hassle of one of those turning up without prior warning?
If you read our reviews, you'll find a very high number often praise our communication skills - there's a reason for this. Whether good, bad or indifferent, we ALWAYS advise of delivery dates and updates on delivery time requests when asked.
You say we are totally exploiting our staff. You seem to be getting confused with who you ordered from (Buildershop UK) and Travis Perkins that delivered your order. If Travis Perkins see fit to send their driver out to unload sheets of such as size and weight, then that is their problem not ours. As they'd told me it would be delivered on a van, I think they were hoping there would be someone to help the driver unload. Obviously this was an assumption, you were under no obligation to help the driver. You say you're fit but then complain about back pains. If you didn't want to help, you could have just told the driver to take the sheets back.
I'm not expecting you to change your rating as you've clearly got a bee in your bonnet about this. I will though defend Buildershop UK to the hilt when it comes to false accusations about the lack of communication. This is, and always has been our main company ethos as it is sadly lacking in this day and age with a lot of companies.
By the way, you didn't order Marine Ply, you ordered Hardwood Ply. Marine Ply is almost double the cost of what you ordered.
If you do want to reply to this response, I'm just letting you know, I will not be wasting any more time putting my point across. I think I've said enough now!

Split wood
Delivery was prompt but after the driver had left I found some of the timber was split and on one length a chunk just fell off.

We wanted a particular Facing Brick for a chimney rebuild down in Cornwall.
Mark tried his best to source them but on this occasion couldn’t. But he tried hard and called me back when he said he would which makes a change these days.
