Bread & Butter Collective Omdömen 

Being an older student, I have been with many different letting agencies in the past, and it is absolutely expected that those catered to students are especially bad and exploitative. However, this one is undoubtedly the worst. The house had dead bugs lined up on the windowsills when I moved in (and I am sure that if they remain there the agency will deem that to be cause not to reimburse the deposits). They do not answer and they blame you. They take advantage of the fact they don't answer, and this (again this is in my humble opinion) all in an effort to be, in my mind, even more exploitative. I am uncomfortable detailing a situation I am in regarding the agency but just know that it is extremely bad and just profoundly unprofessional. It is to the extreme that when I saw good reviews I was astounded and managed to (very wrongly I assume) convince myself that they could not possibly be true and thus written by the agency itself (to be clear, I am in no way asserting this is the case, rather pointing to how their behaviour has seemingly eroded my ability to think fairly in regards to their capabilites). Personally, I find it especially disquieting to think that they mostly deal with very impressionable 18 year olds and most likely take advantage of their very apparent naivety. Truly, for the good of your children (or yourself) I would really advise you to pay for a better company. They are truly awful and just really quite bad at their jobs. One must assume they do better in other locations or I would imagine their business model to be extremely deficient (though I am no expert, perhaps this incompetence is their business model, who am I to say?). I am in no way trying to be unfair or facetious, but am genuinely really upset and just so exhausted at having to deal with them at all. Honestly? I had a private landlord last year who used to walk into our all girls house, go to our rooms without any notice and walk in while we were in our underwear, and the Bread and Butter Collective is still worse. I mean really, one might be inclined to conclude that the bar is beyond hell and in a realm inacessible to man. I wish had never had the misfortune to end up with them and I truly, truly hope this review will dissuade any unlucky person to end up relying on them. In particular, I hope this will dissuade any parent. Unless you'd like to punish your children in which case I believe this is the company for you. I'm honestly ashamed, I never write reviews usually because I'm not a Karen but these guys are TERRIBLE.

What stuck out to me the most was how helpful the agent I was speaking with was! Keri made sure that her communication was clear and she was also nice which was really pleasant. The website is also very detailed and easy to function with all the necessary information and visuals present and not difficult to find

Completely misadvertised online, the rent was actually double for a petite flat with hardly any space. Absolute greed not to mention they ignore all incoming calls despite being in office.

After a long process with our Student housing, Victoria graciously agreed to let us view the house we will be moving into in July - with B&B. Not only did she welcome us and make us feel immediately comfortable and excited in what will be our home, she gave us a full run-down and tour of how everything is run. Without hesitation, Victoria answered all of our questions and left us at ease with, and excited to move into the house. Victoria was friendly, kind and her communication with us has been excellent. We are very grateful that she took the time to speak to us and introduce us to our house. Thank you!

I just got off the phone with Sarah and she was incredibly helpful- she did more than I could have asked! She sorted everything out for me and my friends and went above and beyond to help with our tenancy.
I really appreciate the time she took to help me out.

My son rented a really nice house and smooth process to sign up and move in. Slightly annoying that the ohones werent picked up just before they were due to move in when we had some problems with right to rents but they did message and say they were really busy and to messge and to be fair they did then get back to us. Pretty responsive during the year when there were some problems with neighbours and always nice staff. Pretty good overal and would recommend.

I lived at one of their properties until recently for about 6 months. Ran away as soon as i could. Very shady. They were late with the key for a week when I was moving in. Its been more than a month since ive left the property now they ask me to pay some extra £230 for some reason even though all my due are cleared. I paid it out the sheer need of not wanting a headache arguing with them. They are very slow to respond to any problems. Read the agreement with them properly because i had to call them out on a few random clauses in there. All in all avoid if possible

Easy and reliable

The experience of renting through Bread and Butter was exceptional. From asking for more information about the property, to going to view and helping through the process they were excellent.
