Brayleys Cars - Brayley Honda St Albans Omdömen 

We were totally unsure of what car to buy finances dictated ,as we thought a very limited selection of second hand cars would be all that was available to us. However as we walked around Brayley Honda in St Albans we started chatting to the team who were knowledgeable totally understood our needs and fund situation . We sat Down with mark and over the next few visits understood how we could purchase a quality reliable car with out being coerced into something we couldn’t afford. We really loved our chats with Mark in fact it was a pleasure to go there . cup of tea and a laugh with the sales team .
Mark throughout the whole process has been brilliant . We cannot praise Brayley enough and will be purchasing our next vehicle with them . Mark told us he’d been there for 10 years and we could see why . Great purchasing experience .

Recent Major Service: Excellent experience with helpful feedback from Service Advisor immediately after the initial inspection, and advice as to the relative prioritisation of subsequent suggested repairs.

The staff at Brayley Honda St Albans managed to fit the service and MOT into the schedule to accommodate my needs in terms of collection time so that I did not have to return home and then come out again.

Warm and friendly welcome. Advised as to what the garage was going to do and how long it would take. They managed to finish ahead of schedule and let me know right away. All very helpful and friendly.

It was all good and the staff are very friendly, but this is the first time we’ve had to pay extra just to fit two windscreen wipers on top of the service plan that we pay by direct debit. Gone are the days of personal service that we used to have, whereby we weren’t charged for small things like that.

I used the while you wait service. Very pleasant, very helpful staff. The waiting area is airy, with tea coffee and plenty of magazines to help pass a couple of hours.

My only downside was, and is nothing to do with Brayley, was a person next to me on the phone for the whole two hours speaking a foreign language. Not pleasant.

Overall my experience with Brayley was great

Michelle did a first class job, was professional, polite and focused on resolving queries I had about my sat nav system. Mani assisted in this matter also, the teamwork shown was exemplary.
My car was in for a service and MOT, I dropped it off pm. the day before which helped with my journey planning the day of the work itself. Michelle was very helpful with the booking in process and briefed me extremely well on timing/pick up expectations. All work was completed to a very high standard.

I recently booked my car into Brayley Honda St Albans for a repair to be carried out. The Service Dept was very helpful and knowledgeable, detailing the new parts required and the approximate cost. The job was professionally done by a technician in less time than expected and I was kept informed of progress. I would therefore not hesitate to recommend Brayleys to potential customers, for excellent customer service.

I was booked in for my cars second year service, I was welcomed by a member of staff in the car park who wanted to make sure I knew where I was going. On arrival in the showroom I was seen immediately, The service engineer was chatty and friendly while doing the paperwork.

I had opted to stay and wait (it was an hour), they have a nice waiting area with free drinks. I was impressed that all the staff who popped in for a drink said Hi!

The service was completed quickly, and they full explained the service report.

Have tried several times to get a price for some work on my Hyundai and am always promised someone will call back and they never do. Really poor service

Dominic was very good and did a great job. He explained everything clearly and was very attentive. When he took us out on a test run he didn’t rush the process and made sure I felt comfortable before going on a different route on a much busier road. He didn’t rush us. He sorted all the paper work so we didn’t have to do anything. I even asked him to doubled check that the motor insurance cover had definitely changed over for peace of mind for us as it was all done on line.

Overall decent service. Home collection/ drop off cost has increased from £25 in 2025 to £50- 100% rise in a year! Valet cleaning used to be included in the service, but not any more- apparently for environmental reasons, I was told by Reception. (The car will need cleaning in any case, but I will have to pay separately. Don't know how environment will benefit.) I wasn't actually asked if my car had any issues to be looked at. Decent but very ordinary experience, overall.

Excellent customer service

We were alerted to a recall for what was supposed to be a 30-minute software update; we booked and allowed 1.5 hours just in case…… my husband was at Brayley St Albans for over 3 hours! Blamed on the 12v battery showing under 80% charge, so had to be put on charge first. Why not warn the customer in advance of the booking? In our case my husband could have charged it.

A couple of days before the booking an “online check-in” procedure invited me to advise of “Additional Work” that may need looking into so I did:

Tailgate motor has a noisy whine to it …… Response “they’re all like that” WHAT?
In-car computer periodically freezes .….. Response “you’ve been tuned in to FM we’ve changed it to DAB. FM causes static” WHAT?
The brakes continue to “squeal” …… Response “they’re all like that” WHAT?
Is there any likelihood of improvement to the Honda app? …... Response “All car apps have problems” WHAT? My previous car was a Jaguar IPace the app didn’t have any issues and my husband swears by his BMW app!

Will try another Honda service centre next time. If there’s no improvement I will seriously consider getting rid of my Honda e:Ny1.
