Got appointment the same day I phoned up at durham boot John was fantastic help with the hearing test he explained everything to me nice and clear as my hearing is very poor test my hearing and put some hearing aids in my ears went through some mor test with the hearing aids in showing how much difference they make showing me some different hearing aids alot off help recommended them to anyone thanks John

The testing was fine but I felt a little overwhelmed by the sales pitch afterwards!

Excellent service with very knowledgable audiologist.

The whole process was professional from start to finish. I was informed of the tyoe of hearing loss that I had and all of my options were explained clearly to me. This assisted me in deciding what type of hearing aid to purchase.

First class service, the gentleman I saw (John) was welcoming, professional, friendly and informative. Everything explained and choices outlined. Listened to my concerns and doubts and assisted me in resolving them as far as he could. Couldn't have had better service.

I do have to say though, I think the prices for hearing aids are extortionate, 4k for a decent level of hearing is a lot of money. I know with boots from what I have read it seems to be because they are part owned by the manufacturer.

I did also visit another supplier and the same aids were £900 cheaper. However with my blue light card at boots, I am only paying £250 more, which is a lot, but again John instilled me with confidence and I felt that long term I would get a better level of care and service with boots. A great employee you have there, I do hope you value people like him!

John took time and explained everything clearly very professionally

Strange meeting with Phil last week. Had used the recommended hearing aid he supplied without much improvement in hearing. He more or less told me ‘hard luck’ without any alternative offered. No further advice or help, despite me asking to try in ear aids at the previous appointment. I felt as though he could not get rid of me quick enough.

Think John was very thorough throughout, everything explained properly. Can’t wait to have my new hearing are fitted.

Service was first class y fortunately the task of having to climb a flight of stairs not really easy access for me

John was so nice and patient which put me at ease as I get quite nervous owing to my hearing loss so it made a good experience

Unfortunately I got the above reply on 21 March( 12 days ago) . I have sent my details as requested and Ive had nothing since, so Ive had to drop the review down to one star.

I was very apprehensive but the way Phil the duty audiologist put me at ease and very comprehensively provided the relevant information and he was professional and and helpful in my choice of the aid which is suitable for my needs
