Boots Hearingcare Altrincham has very high customer care & professional service. They take their time to ensure your hearing tests and hearing aid solution is right for you. Also the aftercare service to support you is excellent.

Had a great experience getting my hearing aids, then three months later, got an invoice for something I hadn't bought. The email system was awful, demanded I provide personal details before they would even look at my file. I said I wanted to make a complaint and everything went stone cold silent.
I gave up with emails and phoned them. I then spoke to a delightful person who sorted it all out in no time at all with a lot less personal information. My advice is don't waste your time emailing, just call them.
Sorry to Boots Altrincham for putting this on them, but couldn't find an alternative way of giving feedback.

My wife's Phonak HA snapped leaving the speaker in her ear. 2 trips to NHS A&E and ENT and 1 week of discomfort, eventually recovered the speaker. Broken HA returned to Boots Audio Altrincham, no face to face help, no information, no phone calls or return calls. Nothing, absolutely no help at all, No apology, Really poor customer services. Will be contacting Trading Standards if not resolved very soon. Expensive HA's and service not fit for purpose.

.Submitted contact details as requested only to be advised to make an appointment. My wife has made an appointment for 23/9/26. Let's hope she will be reunited with her repaired HA's. For the record nobody from Altrincham Audiology has reached out to contact her despite visits to the premises leaving her details. Again very poor customer services.
Update on the appointment of 23rd Sept. My wife was reunited with her now repaired Phonak HA. All good. Audiologist agreed that communication from Boots to customers like my wife was poor and needs to be improved. Let's hope they learn lessons and improve.

I went to an appointment for hearing test at Boots Altrincham. The guy sent me back in two minutes.

He said I have wax in my ears and hence can not do the test. Waste of time. Why did not they tell me beforehand? Also I did not see him wiping the ear scope with any hygiene tissue.

My GP checked my ear only two weeks ago and did not see any wax.

Was it an excuse not doing the work because I booked a free test?

Both audiologists Emma and Francesca were very helpful and explained in detail the workings of the aids. Excellent service

I would highly recommend a hearing test with Emma Wright. She is really helpful, professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. She was very knowledgeable, explained everything, and answered all my questions.The aftercare service is second to none.

In 2017 one of the receivers at the end of my right hearing aid broke off. I could not find it and booked an appointment with Boots Hearing and saw an Audiologist. He basically belittled me saying that the receiver was far too large to be stuck in my ear had a quick look, changed the wire on my hearing aid and sent me on my way. Ever since that day I have had ear ache in my right ear, my hearing aid never fitted correctly, and I would get alot of reverb from that hearing aid. I booked many appointments with Boots over the years to try and get this resolved without any success.

So 7 years after this happened I decided to go get my ears cleaned professionally by another provider. She has shocked to pull out the end of the hearing aid from my ear, it had been in there for 7 years, she said that I was lucky not to have got an infection and damaged my hearing even more.

I can’t fault anyone from Timon the Audiologist through to other staff members including the Duty Pharmacist. I sadly have Parkinson’s Disease and having problems swallowing. I unfortunately chocked on something and unfortunately couldn’t get my breath Timon was so calm talking to me, someone got me some water and eventually I calmed down and at this point the Pharmacist came in to check I was ok. I can’t thank everyone enough for the kindness and support they all gave me.
Eventually we were able to continue my. Assessment. I was very frightened, but the kindness of everyone was simply THE BEST

He was calm and clear throughout.
Although my appointment was time limited it felt like I had as much time as I needed.
