Great Value & Highly flexible Photobooth. Perfect for our wedding!

Really happy with our Boothiy experience. We absolutely loved that we could have the booth all day and our guests could take multiple snaps of different parts of the wedding. The digital album was really great too and got sent to us and our guests really quickly after the event. Returning the equipment was actually really easy and we opted to drop it off at a collection point ourselves for more flexibility.

Great addition to a wedding!

This was a really great addition to our wedding. All our guests loved it and we got some really great shots from it! Would highly recommend, was easy to set up and I loved the fact it was quite compact so didn’t take up too much room!

Brilliant service highly recommend

Was a little hesitant at first but honestly couldn’t fault the service at all, I went for a basic booth. Got exactly what I asked for was delivered no issues all the instructions were as clear as anything and if that still confused you you had links to videos so made it so much easier.

Got the images sent through within 2 days of sending back which was very easy aswell I took lots of photos to show everything was packed properly.

My guests loved it so much it was in constant use and the images straight to phone everyone loved :) couldn’t find a single fault and will hire again if ever need but will also recommend to anyone looking for a Photo Booth to hire :)

Affordable, effective and super fun!

Everybody loved this at the wedding, it was very well used! Photos turned out amazing and it made the best photo book! Doesn’t take much space at all and was very easy to put up. We had our wedding right near Christmas so was worried about delivery and pick up but it was all very easy! The printer was a little temperamental to begin with but all photos could be easily airdropped to phones which was a lovely touch and then we quickly got to grips with it! Super affordable option to get some great keep sakes!

Photo Booth for my wedding

The equipment was delivered to my venue well in advance for it to be set up. It was packaged well and easy to remove and set up. All the instructions were simple and easy to follow which meant less hassle and stress. Once it was operational it was so easy to use and all my guests loved it. The picture quality on the print outs was great, high quality. It was something different to have.
I would highly recommend to anyone that wants happy memories to take away from their event. We had it for our wedding and I have so many happy pictures from the day.

Convenient and great addition

I wanted to use BoothIY because of its convenience of booking for the whole day rather than a few hours with an attendant so those only staying for ceremony and breakfast enjoyed it too. The booth was posted out on the Friday, set up at venue and then collected by courier on the Monday. Instructions were clear and the booth was easy to set up. The online gallery was set up quickly after the event and overall was a great addition to our wedding.

We won the use of Boothiy in a competition and our guests throughly enjoyed use it!
It can be a little overwhelming when you open the box, however, the instructions are clear! We had no issues and delivery and collection was on time.
Can’t wait to see the photos!

Terrible experience, AVOID!

Unfortunately I had a pretty terrible experience with this company, and cannot in all good conscience recommend them.

BoothIY was unable to send me what I had booked and paid for, because the booth they were going to send me wasn't returned to them on time. I fully understand that this was out of their control and do not blame them for this. I was, as a result, sent a "downgrade" from what I paid for, but was reassured that the cost difference would be refunded to me. As this was only 4 days before my wedding, I had no choice but to go with it.

The day after my wedding, the refund still wasn't showing in my bank account. I chased this up, and I was told that it would be reviewed in due course. I had to chase up my promised refund several times before I finally received it (almost two months later). Customer service was very poor and lacking. Sometimes I would send emails that were completely ignored. I was told that the lack of action and response from themselves was because I had told them that I had wanted to put in a formal complaint and they were waiting to receive it, however, I trawled back through every single email I had ever sent them, and at no point did I state that I was wanting to put in a formal complaint.

On the day of my wedding, the equipment didn't work properly. First off, the iPad asked for a 6 digit passcode, which wasn't mentioned anywhere in the set up instructions. My Dad messaged the WhatsApp helpline (you're not allowed to call; you can only message). 20 minutes later, he still hadn't received a response, so he sent the message again. About 10 minutes later, the iPad was unlocked and we were good to go. Or so we thought...

The first 2 or 3 groups of guests happily had their photos taken and received their print outs, when all of a sudden, the printer icon on the pad greyed out and stopped working. Once again, my Dad contacted the WhatsApp chat, and was given a troubleshooting tip, which unfortunately didn't work. He was told that the issue was likely something simple, but in the interests of keeping the evening moving, BoothIY would print the photos upon return of the pod and post them out to me. This wasn't ideal, but there were guests wanting to use the pod, so we went with it. People were able to put their phone numbers and email addresses into the pod to have the photos sent electronically anyway.

The pod was carefully repacked at the end of the evening, and collected by DHL the next day. From that point on, I had zero communication from BoothIY to confirm that they had safely received their equipment back. I began to worry that the pod had been lost in transit and that I would be held liable for this. However, exactly one week after my wedding reception, people began to receive their photos electronically. I took this to mean that the equipment was safely back with BoothIY, however I was a little annoyed that not only were my guests unable to print their photos on the night, but it also took a whole week for them to receive their electronic photos. I understand that the reason the electronic photos didn't go out on the night is because there was very little 4G signal at the reception venue, but it shouldn't have taken almost a week for BoothIY to connect the pod back up so that the photos could go out.

Getting my printed photos back from them took way too long. Their contract states that any photos that need to be printed and posted will be done so within 28 working days of them receiving the pod back and processing it. However, it took them almost a week to get around to processing the pod! Tuesday 5th December 2023 was the 28th working day from the date that the pod was processed, and my photos (from my October wedding) were posted out to me on the 5th December, so they literally left it as long as they could before sending me my photos. All this time, I had guests getting in touch with me asking where their photos were, because they would really like their copies. And I now have a bunch of photos that I need to post out to my wedding guests at my own expense, including to people in France and Spain.

Overall, the pod itself was fun to have at my wedding, my guests enjoyed it (once they could actually start using it), and the photos do look great. BoothIY's concept is a good idea - a self-managed photo pod service, which is more affordable than a conventional photo booth, therefore making it more accessible for people on a budget. However the idea is very badly executed - BoothIY's communication is lacking, and the customer service is very poor and on occasion borders on plain rude. BoothIY caused me a lot of hassle and stress in the weeks after my wedding, and for this reason I sadly will not recommend them.

If you want a photo booth then save yourself the hassle, spend the extra money and book a staffed photo booth from a reputable supplier local to you! I certainly wish we had!

Terrible service from drop off to…

Terrible service from drop off to collection.
The photo booth arrived at the venue for my daughters wedding a day late meaning it was to set up on the wedding day. It still hadn't arrived by the time the service started and at precisely 1pm, as she was walking down the isle the couriers rang to arrange delivery.
The booth stopped printing after a couple of hours and apparently we should have contacted them immediately so they could solve the issue. Believe it or not, there's better things to do on a wedding day than spend hours on WhatsApp waiting for advice on how to fix something that should have been working perfectly.
Collection.....don't get me going! 2 days later, and several emails threatening late charges we were still waiting for it to be collected. We had to collect it from wedding venue, bring it to a residential address before dpd eventually turned up to take it away. Who knows if the issue is with the couriers or boothityourself but the fact there is no phone number to ring to actually speak to anyone and the appalling customer service via email doesn't help solve the issue.
Oh, and we still haven't got access to the photos online.
A photo booth at a wedding is a lovely thing, but if I was you I'd find one from another company.

No photos!

The communication prior to delivery was amazing, could not fault it, however it goes downhill from there!
I ordered props as an add on which I paid for but unfortunately did not receive.
On the day we used it the ipad was locked and my maid of honour spent most of her time during the speeches contacting the company for the unlock code. I will say the replies were prompt and the issue was dealt with in a timely manner.
We returned the equipment on the date specified which was almost a month ago however to date still no photos.
I have contacted the company via email and WhatsApp and still awaiting a reply even though the website says I should have received the photo link 2 weeks after return date.
I would be keen to receive a response or at least my photos so I am not forced to take the issue further!

Shockingly bad service.
Spent half my wedding breakfast whats app messaging customer service as the booth needed a code that hadn't been supplied. When I needed to eat the wedding coordinator took over spending time sorting it.
Finally got it on but the printer wouldn't work. 3 resets and countless messages to customer service all on my wedding day when I should be enjoying my day not contacting customer service. We gave up on it as it was just awful and not fit for purpose!!
My wedding venue accidently posted my daughter's tablet back with the booth and trying to retrieve that was an absolute nightmare.
Customer service is the least important thing to this company

Terrible customer service

If it wasn't for the customer service of this business it would've been a better review. When it worked it was great but we had nothing but issue's with the printer refusing to work and yes the device wasn't exactly clean. The Monday after our wedding day we arranged pick up from the venue and we did everything on our part to ensure delivery standards where met, to find out the courier refuesed to take the equipment as the returns label wasnt correctly applied supposedly. (which it was) To then have my wife been spoken to like a naughty school child, Tom in the customer service team was awful, accusing my wife of negligence telling her she will have to pay a fine of £165 and blaming her for the couriers faults. The equipment was returned the next day no issues with the same return label so once Tom gets a couple of lessons in grace and decorum we expect an apology. I hate writing negative reviews and try to avoid upsetting people but i will not have my wife being spoken to like a criminal without any investigation taking place. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

While we aim for a smooth and seamless process for all of our customers, it's essential to stress that adhering to our returns procedure is critical. Any delays in the return of our equipment have a domino effect and can significantly impact other customers who have also hired from us. For that reason, we take delays very seriously and have protocols and fees in place to address them.

In your case, the courier did not accept the equipment due to a delivery label applied to the box instead of the correct returns label. It's crucial to note that the courier cannot accept a parcel without the correct returns label in turn causing the delay, not any alleged negligence on our part. That delay had the potential to disrupt other customers' plans, something we strive to avoid at all costs.

I must clarify that our customer service team treats all concerns with the utmost respect and professionalism. At no point did Tom intend to demean or accuse anyone without cause. The goal was to understand the situation fully and apply our protocols accordingly, even when it meant enforcing the late return fee.

We are glad to hear that the equipment was successfully returned the following day, and we appreciate your cooperation in resolving the matter.

Once again, I am sorry for the inconvenience you faced and in particular any stress it may have caused, I appreciate your understanding of how seriously we take the timely return of our equipment due to its impact on other customers.

The booth is very good value for money

The booth is very good value for money, it’s self run but I had it for a wedding and assigned someone to keep an eye out incase there was any issues with it, which there was but it was dealt with quickly. The props are brill, the flower back drop has seen better days and could do with replacing. The steps leading up to the higher were not so good, the person who I was emailing as I’m not very computer tech was very rude as it was taking me longer to carry out things they needed from me. Also had multiple emails saying that equipment needed to be checked and signed for but the delivery driver just left it at reception getting no signature or time to be checked, and if your don’t check it within an hour and some equipment is missing then tough basically! Luckily mine was all there! Overall everyone loved it and got lots of photo memories.

I won my Booth in a competition meaning I jad a certain percentage off, I was so excited as my wedding was on a budget. It was so helpful to be able to pay in installments and the team were very helpful every time I had an issue. I had to verify my ID nearing my wedding and panicked because I lost my passport. I was so upset! I emailed them and they extended my application time for an extra 7 days, luckily I found my passport and was able to verify my ID and I was so thankful they could be accommodating! The booth arrived fully charged the day before the wedding, set up was simple and the backdrop designs to choose from were lovely (although my venue would allow us to use it) 😔. Guests had so much fun using the booth and it was easy to use! Sending it back was super easy too as it was collected for me. Would definitely recommend and use again!!
