Not the best…

We decided to use this company because we won a competition giveimh us 50% off. In all honesty if I had realised some of the troubles we had with the company we probably would have gone for somewhere else even if it was more expensive. It wasn’t very clear about all the steps needed to be done before hand (confirming your identity by providing passport and driving licence, filling out a form online and signing another couple documents). We only realised we needed to do this when we got an email saying if we didn’t complete us asap we wouldn’t be able to have the photo booth for the day. Delivery was pretty easy. Setting up the Photo Booth wasn’t too difficult although during a wedding can be time consuming. We struggled with the printer running out of ink before we had used all the pictures we could as well. The worst part was trying to return the product. We left it in the same condition to be returned as when we received it. The dpd driver refused to take the booth as it was not in a cardboard box (it didn’t arrive in one) so because we missed the first return date they tried charging me an extra £150 per day for the day I hadn’t returned the Photo Booth. Because I was away on my honeymoon I was not able to get a box to put the Photo Booth in and the company arranged for the Photo Booth to be picked up the next day so I had no time to get a box. This happened for 3 days where they were trying to charge me £450 for the 3 days I missed the return even though the reason the delivery guy didn’t take the return was because the booth was not in a cardboard box. Eventually the company had to send a different delivery company and they picked it up first time with no problem! This caused us a lot of stress on our honeymoon when we should shave just been enjoying ourselves. Like I said it may seem like a good price but if I had known about all the problems I would have gone with a different company that brought the Photo Booth already set up and had someone to man it so I didn’t have people waisting their night on looking after it instead of having a good time!

Great addition

We used BoothIY for our wedding in May which we first booked at a wedding fair. It was presented very professionally and confidently. Lots of communication via email throughout. The set up came with instructions and was straightforward to follow. All our guests had lots of fun taking photos. We used our own props and background to make it unique to us as the use of the Photo Booth can be adapted to your own preferences and needs

Got a great deal for our photo pod and…

Got a great deal for our photo pod and every item that we got as extra. All the guests loved being able to take photos and being able to print them onto Lettings to keep as keepsakes. Delivery and return was easy and had no issues.

Recommended

I found BoothIY on Facebook and they offered half price as a competition win. The company made everything very simple, explaining every step of the way. Although it can sometimes seem a bit fiddly (all the bits beforehand) it was simple and not time consuming and totally worth not having someone at your wedding and paying the earth for a few hours. The delivery company delivered to the wrong address and BoothIY replied within seconds to my e-mail and managed to sort the confusion hours before my wedding. I'm really grateful to them and I now have some wonderful photos from the wedding. Definitely recommend :)

No responses to any contact!!

I have a booking with this company
Trying to amend the date and venue but the customer portal has a blank screen
Tried every possible way of contacting them with no response
Used the email address, customer portal, WhatsApp.
Starting to wonder if this company is real or not
Will probably speak to my bank and get my money back as clearly not getting any response so worried it won’t arrive when needed

Poor Customer Service

I won a runner up prize on Instagram for a booth. Booking was straight forward and all the prep and ID forms easy to do. Our event was on the Sunday but the booth had to be delivered on Friday due to the company not delivering at weekends. When we started setting up the booth the battery was low do plugged in straight away, the printer wouldn't connect and the tech support didn't open until 5pm, when they did respond we were told the issue was down to us tampering with the settings even though we hadn't touched the settings and followed instructions. We then just accepted that we couldn't print and guest were just to send to emails or sms. We then sat down for evening entertainment and the iPad switched off, we got in contact with tech support as we needed a code to unlock iPad and was told they won't send the code and yet again it was user error. They eventually sent the code so we could use it.

Post event - no contact to say the booth had been returned to them but I assumed if it hadn't then I would know. I waited 2 weeks for my photos and then contacted the customer service team as the link was not sent to email or sms, neither was it in the customer portal. I was told in a sms that they won't help me as the link had been sent and it was in my portal. I sent screenshots to show it wasn't there and got no response. Sent them another email of complaint asking for link and after second attempt got a rude email back with the link but also telling me they are going to charge me for the extra time they spent in my account. They said other people had been accessing their photos so I was the issue. They told me that they can block the gallery at anytime. When I sent an email back to first say thank you and then stand my ground that we followed instructions and that I have not seen the whole gallery like I was meant to, my gallery access had been blocked shortly after being sent.

I then get a sms and an email from the Operations Director saying that if I give a 5 star review I will get all my individual photos for free and someone had time in their day to do this for me.

My original plan was to set up my own tripod and device with a downloaded booth app but thought I would go to a company instead. I should've saved my money and done my first plan.

Looking at other reviews on here it seems many people have had the same issues with iPad turning off, printer not working, rude customer service and no gallery sent to them.

Fast delivery of product

Fast delivery of product. Communication before excellent. We had a problem during the event that was easily sorted by messaging them. Everyone at my event really enjoyed using the props and taking photos. When the paper ran out we could still continue to use just email the photos to ourselves.

Shocking product, Shocking Service, shocking company.

If I could give this a zero rating then I would. May aswell of just took a selfie stick & then tried to print at home. At least then some of the pictures from the wedding would probably have been seen by all the guests. An iPad attached to a tripod then connected to a printer that no-one even checked if it was working. Even tried the email option. What a shock that didn't work either. Total piece of crap with the customer service even worse than the product. AVIOD AT ALL COST IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT PHOTOS OF YOUR WEDDING.

Absolute joke of a company

Absolute joke of a company, sent a defective package, wouldn’t print on the night, couldn’t send emails, their customer service is appalling and they’re now trying to charge us because they can’t pick the item up from the hotel they delivered it to, no apology for the countless photos that are missing, the inability to answer technical issues, and the disgusting emails threatening legal action. Stay away

Appalling Service

Appalling Service - Recommend to stay away from this company

After winning an apparent runner-up promotion, I booked the boothiy services via their website, following numerous communication from this company. Once booked, I messaged their whatsapp contact number, as per instructions in their website. The response was rude to say the least, and unhelpful, as no conclusion was reached. I followed up by email, same appalling type of response. They cancelled the service instead of replying, i.e. clearly they overbooked for the day and were happy to collect the payment, but not happy to reply to the paying customer in a professional and respectful manner. Absolutely disgraceful experience, and based on what I read from others, this terrible service continues all the way through to the end of the process. A bullet dodged, as the last thing anyone would want is this terrible, unreliable service on the day of the event.
Now I hope and expect my refund as quickly as they were to collect the payment, will come back to update.

Great Photo Booth

Great Photo Booth, I had actually won a runners up prize which was a discounted photo booth, i ordered it for my wedding party and everyone absolutely loved it! I did have a couple of issues whilst setting up but someone got straight back to me in minutes on the WhatsApp messages, overall was really happy! Thankyou

Worth it for our big day

Worth it for our wedding.
After coming runner up in a competition we were offered the Photo Booth at half price.

Me and my husband thought about it and took the opportunity.

Won this package in a competition. Used the Photo Booth at our wedding.
Good customer service - able to answer simple questions. On the day, it took a little bit of time to set up. Pick up and drop off by DPD. easy!

If I could give 0 stars I would - Utterly useless.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrendous, rude and unhelpful customer service.

The booth was basically an iPad on a stick attached to a small printer. Both the iPad and the printer had constant issues all night and my venue spent most of their time trying to resolve the issues. Not what you want on your wedding day. Due to this most of my guests struggled to use it and didn’t end up getting many photos.

The communication on the delivery and collection was dreadful and made the experience ten times more stressful.

When advising customer service of all the issues we had they were extremely rude and insinuated the issues may not have happened. Utterly disgusting, useless bit of kit, honestly don’t bother. I came runner up in a competition hence why we went with them but it was more hassle than what it’s worth and I wish I spent a bit more and got a decent Photo Booth with a completely different company.

Terrible experience from start to finish

I used a Boothiy photobooth at my wedding and the whole experience was riddled with disappointments and frustrations from start to finish.

Firstly, as soon as the booth was delivered, I noticed that the free guestbook and props I'd been promised in the email exchange I had with Hannah were nowhere to be found. I emailed customer service straight away and was told I should have let them know sooner - how on earth was I supposed to know they would be missing before I received the delivery?! To add insult to injury, the instructions provided were completely mismatched with the hardware, and to top it off, the Whatsapp contact number listed in the instructions was incorrect.

Additionally, I paid to have the print design upgraded but this was not included when I received the booth. I asked for a refund, and again I was told I should have let them know sooner, because apparently I should have been able to see into the future. Then I was told that as a gesture of goodwill they'd refund the £18 I spent on the upgrade by the end of the month, but (surpise, surprise) the refund never came so I had to claim the money back through my credit card provider. And if that wasn't enough, it took them nearly two months to give me the link to my photo gallery.

The customer service team, including those supposedly offering technical assistance via WhatsApp, were shockingly rude and unhelpful. Instead of resolving issues, they seemed more interested in deflecting blame and shutting down any complaints. Boothiy's motto seems to be "the customer is always wrong." Any attempt to seek clarification or assistance was met with condescension and dismissal.

The basic booth is just an iPad on a tripod with a Canon printer connected to it. If you're considering using Boothiy's services, you're better off just setting up an iPad yourself than having to deal with this awful company.

Not too shabby

Last year I came second place is a prize giveaway so I got the iPad on a tripod half price which was great because I’d been nagging my now husband to let me have a photo booth and he couldn’t say no to this offer!

The set up was easy, I left it to the groomsmen to sort on the day so must have been…

Communication was pretty good although I wasn’t aware of their Christmas shut down for a whole month the day after my wedding so took a while to get the pictures back

The forms you have to fill in are pretty confusing, I though I asked for props and apparently according to the form I didn’t

Now I have them everyone is enjoying looking at them although seems the ones you can text to yourself at the time haven’t come through
