IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR PRIVACY OR DATA DO NOT MAKE A BLOOMINGDALES.COM ACCOUNT!

After my account was hijacked, my email changed, and my saved payment method fraudulently used, Bloomingdale’s flatly refused to delete the account or restore my access. They offered no case number, no resolution, and left my personal information in the hands of someone else simply saying, “sorry, there’s nothing we can do."

This failure to act is a direct violation of FTC identity theft protections. As the owner of a tech company, I can state with certainty: they absolutely have the ability to delete an account. Their refusal demonstrates how little protection they provide for your personal information.

The didn't honor their own own published privacy policy, which states that customers may request closure of accounts and deletion of personal data.

I spent two hours on this even with supervisors and their privacy dept. Someone is fraudulently using my saved card and they refuse to close my account, give me access back, or delete my information.

Absolutely disgusting as a company. It's also in violation of consumer data laws.

Will be filing formal complaints against this company.

Complete crap with the online checkout

Complete crap with the online checkout. I inputted all my information correctly and somehow they still couldn't verify it. so the order was canceled and if I didn't have more funds to make another purchase I would of had to wait for the refund to be processed to buy again which would of left me crap out of luck if the product would of went out of stock. Bloomingdales fix your Apple Pay!

This is the worst store to shop online

This is the worst store to shop online, I bought 6 perfumes for my wife's birthday, it was so complicated and after placing the order they canceled my order the next day I called them they told me that the reason for cancellation was no response to the text message to confirm the purchase knowing that I did not receive any text message of this kind, now neither perfume nor my money refunded, they suggested I replace the order with a new payment, of course not I would not want to have the same problem and to be honest I did not want to do business with them, Order 763180054

I have never before experienced such a shambolic company . Why is it so difficult to place an online order if you are staying in the US but have a U.K. address??? I don’t get it . Customer services were also incredibly rude , not bothered and at one point just hung up the phone .
Such a shame as it used to be such a lovely store . Move with the times Bloomingdale’s otherwise your iconic” store will go bust . Sadly it already is . What a total disaster they are

Shocking Lack of Oversight at Ala Moana Bloomingdale’s

On Saturday, July 12, 2025, around 1:50 p.m., I had a very disturbing experience at the Bloomingdale’s in Ala Moana Shopping Center. My wife needed to use the restroom, so we were directed to the third floor. The men’s room and family restroom were both occupied. We waited over 20 minutes with no Bloomingdale’s employees in sight in the nearby departments.

Eventually, a teenage boy (around 16) exited the family restroom, followed shortly after by a younger teenage girl (about 14). The stench of marijuana was overwhelming, poorly masked by perfume. It was clear the restroom had been used for both drug use and inappropriate behavior.

This happened in broad daylight in a family-oriented store—with no staff presence and zero intervention. Completely unacceptable.

This store urgently needs better restroom monitoring, employee visibility, and basic security measures. Until changes are made, I would not recommend this location to anyone concerned about safety or professionalism.

Hudson Park towels, be careful.

I searched for Hudson Park towels online at Bloomingdales, and once I found them, I chose a color, and it saw them in pictures as a set - bath, hand, face. Then it said select a size, which I chose the bath towel. And still it showed a set for over $50. I chose 2 sets and checked out. When they came, there was only 2 bath towels. Somehow I missed the fact that they weren't a set. When I called, etc., I could not get anyone to help me, although they did see that the picture was misleading. So I spent over $100 for 2 towels - ridiculous. Never again. #762222858

Impossible to order if you have an international credit card/paypal

Impossible to order on this website if you have an international credit card and ship to the US. Even international PayPal and Apple Pay don’t work. I order on most US retailers (Nordstrom, Neiman & Marcus, Saks, Shopbop, Revolve, Moda operandi, SSENSE) never EVER had a problem ordering with my PayPal account and ship to the US.

Poor customer service @ Bloomingdales

I recently encountered significant issues with Bloomingdale's customer service. Unfortunately, the representatives I spoke with seemed poorly informed and struggled to comprehend my inquiries, even when I used straightforward American English.

When I called regarding my new credit card, I was told I could use it online immediately upon approval. This turned out to be misleading, as I was informed I needed a code sent by mail, which I never received. Despite being a loyal customer with points to redeem, I was unable to make a purchase during a sale because my card was marked as "under review."

The inconsistencies in their communication and service are incredibly frustrating. If I could, I would gladly step in as a manager or director to help improve the customer experience at this store.

The worst

I am trying to place an order for hours. Payment goes to error. I chat with customer service, they sent me a payment link, still the same issue. Never again. Waste of time. Horrible, horrible website. No app for android, only for iphone.

They would send you a wrong item…

They would send you a wrong item (something similar to what you ordered by a style or a brand ). The wrong item looks like they can not sell and need to get rid of. Then, they will try to make you keeping it by not refunding or sending it back to you, claiming you returned it without tags or something like that. Happened to me twice. Will never shop there again. . I think Federal Trade Commission needs to look closer at their business practices

Unresolved Issue – Personal Item Lost by Bloomingdale’s

I returned an item to Bloomingdale’s in May 2025 and mistakenly included my personal necklace (valued at over $1,900) in the package. I contacted Bloomingdale’s immediately to correct the error. Despite acknowledging receipt of the return and refunding the original item, they have failed to locate or return my necklace.

I’ve now gone through four separate “investigations” over several weeks with no resolution or meaningful updates, even after filing a formal complaint and contacting their executive team. I was even sent a $100 gift card, which was unrelated and does not address the issue.

This has been an extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience for a high-end retailer. I expected better care and communication. I still do not have my necklace or a resolution, and I would caution others to be extremely careful when returning anything to this company.

Bogus Account Flags and Bad Customer Service

I was unable to complete a purchase because my account was flagged for "excessive accommodation requests" when I had only made 1 purchase in the past year (and absolutely no accomodation requests)-- I was told that they were not able to do anything about that even if it was made in error and that I was unable to make any purchases until the issue was resolved by their investigation. Obviously I will never be ordering with them again as this was a huge inconvenience, but beware: you may not be able to order because of website errors and they will blame your account.

this is not actually Bloomingdale's…

this is not actually Bloomingdale's this is a drop shipping company paying them to use the name, what i received was 4 days late even though i paid for expedited shipping and not what i ordered, do not use this is basically a scam website masquerading as a name brand department store

STAY AWAY from this site! Never got my item.

I ordered a dress back in the beginning of March and when it was taking long to arrive I contacted customer services and was told that the item was out of stock, even though it never mentioned that when I was ordering it, and that I would have to wait for the backorder date of April 9th. I agreed, even though I was already disappointed with the bad service. It is already May and I still have not received the dress. There is no way I was not home to receive it, as I work from home full time all day every business day and there is a 24 hour reception in my building where there is always someone to receive packages. I have contacted customer service again. At this point I do not even want the dress anymore, just my money back. I will not be shopping here again. What a scam!

Don't trust bloomingdales customer service script puppett readers. I ordered a leather pair of sneakers and they sent out a total different pair called customer service had the guy tell me the correct shoe and he reassured he was sending out the correct pair. 3 days later!!!! These people send me thee exact same shoe again!!!!!!! No one looked to make the item numberis correct. Now back to customer service again and the supervisor was rude and had new solution base process besides returning my money and I fly out soon! Totally waste! I'm very glad it wasn't a more expensive pair of sneakers. He didn't choose to do his simple minded job like reassure the correct sneakers and offer a over night send out! BLOOMINGDALES YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TRASH. Bring that job back to America!

Bloomingdale’s is dishonest

Bloomingdale’s lies about when your package will arrive instead of just marking the item as sold out. I asked three times, different customer service reps. All gave me dates for the time of shipment that were untrue, all for the order to be cancelled weeks later. I will never order anything through Bloomingdale’s again.

Awful website & customer service

First, I tried to place an order with Bloomingdale’s 4 times!! Each time it simply wouldn’t process or came back as “canceled”. I tried calling customer service multiple times and when I finally got ahold of a service agent who’s English could be understood AND who was actually helpful, she was able to place the order for me over the phone…she was great, but it still took well over an hour!!
Next, I tried to link my account with my loyalist account…it wouldn’t work. The $300 promotional gift card that I was supposed to get in return for my $1k+ order, did NOT appear in my account. I spent more time on the phone trying to get that to work. They finally just emailed it to me. Then I tried to place an order with that gift card, and ran into MORE hang ups and orders that wouldn’t process! I work in online retail sales and I’m good at it, it’s not like I don’t know how to navigate a website!🙄 I called customer service again and could NOT understand their English through their thick accent.
Then I had a baby and forgot to try again for a few days…by the time I tried again for the 4th or 5th, the gift card had expired🤦🏻‍♀️
I tried calling into customer service yet AGAIN and while these particular gentlemen were kind, I just got their policy line over & over “we’re sorry, the expiration date was clearly listed, we can’t do anything about it”
No compensation or “we’re sorry, here’s a coupon for you” for their ridiculous website glitches, the lack of the app & accounts working properly, their incompetent customer service, NOTHING!! I’m just out $300.
