I wanted to exchange a mini skirt to a…
I wanted to exchange a mini skirt to a different color but they claim it was no longer being sold. How can items just go out of production in less than a week? I appreciate the lady helping me though she really tried. Just disappointed I had good memories as a kid shopping with my mom here but I know my daughter would never come here and perhaps for the better.
Terrible manager on the first floor at Bloomingdale’s Stanford
I bought one cardigan and one hoodie online on April 24 and 25 separately. I wanted to change the payment credit card, so I brought them to Bloomingdales Stanford Shopping Center around noon on April 28, asking a staff at the Return register whether she can help with the change of the payment credit card. In order to do so, I might need to return them first, and then buy them back at the same price with a different credit card. She agreed and helped with the return first. However, when she tried to check out, she couldn't match the price on the receipt which I originally purchased at, so she called her manager.
The manager came, but instead of helping me, the manager kept saying the price I got was from last week's promotion, so she can't match the price unless I show her the price online is now still the same as the price on the receipt. I told her the hoodie and the cardigan I bought are sold out online, so I can't add the items into the basket, then how do I prove the promotion is still the same? And then she literally replied in an attitude, 'So? You can't prove.' she then kept saying, since I can't prove, the promotion I got was last week's promotion, she can't match last week's promotion to this week. I am so confused, because I am not buying new items and asking for price matching to last week's promotion. I only wanted to change the payment credit card, so I am trying to return and buy back immediately. Not to mention I bought these two items only three days ago, the promotion I got was from this week, not from last week.
Okay, since she is not willing to help, I ask her to cancel the return, now I only hope to get my items back. She told me she can't void my return because I paid with Paypal. Instead of trying to figure out some solutions, she then ignored me. I can't believe how a store manger can behave in such a rude and unprofessional manner to a customer!?
I say to her that when I asked the staff to help with changing the payment credit card, if she have told me she is unable to match the price on the receipt, I won't do the return in the first place. While the manager still trying to ignore me, only replying she can't void the return nor match the price.
While I am trying to solve this issue, I notice that although the cardigan in size S I bought is sold out online, size XS is still in stock, so I add size XS into the basket to check out, and show her the check out price I get right now is still the same as the price on the receipt. However, she then says I am using points to get the discounts. I tell her I am not using any points, she say yes, and finger points at the loyalist free shipping discounts on the check out page saying that's the points I am using. Actually the loyalist free shipping has nothing to do with the check out price of the item, so I can't believe a store manager is so unprofessional; It's like she is not familiar with Bloomingdales at all. Not to mention after I told her this is only free shipping, she still behaved in a way like 'okay I don't care.'
Besides, earlier she asked me to prove I can still get the price so that she would help with the price match; I proved, but then her response is still so rude! It's so incredible an employee with such an ignorant manner to customers can be a store manager!? She is not helping customers but behaving more like trying to get customers difficult! In front of me, this manager even said to other staff 'She got this crazy discounts over last week's promotion, but now she wants me to honor her the same price'. How unprofessional this comment on a customer is?? Whatever discount I got, it's Bloomingdale's provided discount ok? And she didn't even check the purchase date on the receipt was only three days ago, but only kept assuming the discount was from last week. In addition, her tone of voice has been very arrogant. This manager's name is pretty long so I can't remember exactly, otherwise I will post her name here.
I used to like Bloomingdale's Stanford Shopping Center before; there were friendly and helpful employees working at the pickup/return register. But on the noon of April 28th the employees at the register and this store manager were like new faces. I think I would share my experience with my friends as well, to avoid getting ourselves into such bad shopping experience at Bloomingdales Stanford Shopping Center!

I like their service and the speed they ship and process orders. I always check them for anything I’m looking for and I’m never disappointed here. Keep up the good work guys
Late delivery
Ordered the item on 4/12 and paid extra for premium delivery but the item was not delivered until 4/18!! Basically paying extra for standard shipping when I could have just gotten delivery for free.

One of the last great department stores where you can enjoy a 5* shopping experience that can take all day. Lots of great coffee shops and restaurants and great quality brands.

I order YSL bag since 3/30/23 still didn’t received, called Bloomingdale's customer service to notify missing shipment they’re telling me to dispute with my credit card , what kind of business they’re doing pushing customers away and lying. Never delivered my item and they don’t even put an effort to track or investigate. So cheap that they’re not hiring career to deliver expensive items to human and with signature . This is a nightmare until now 4/16/23 I still can’t get my refund for $1800 or replacement. Very disappointed and angry how can they treat customers as nothing and ignore situation

I ordered a silver shoe and received a dirty pair of cream shoes of a different designer. To make matters worse, they sent me the incorrect return label. They informed me that I would receive a $300 gift card for the inconvenience but sent one for $125. They are masters at playing games with customers.
If I can give a negative star I would
If I can give a negative star I would. I had the worst experience with Bloomingdale in regards to a missing item. Customer service and support only tells you the same things over and over again but doesn’t do anything to help you. For over two weeks now I’ve been told to wait, file a claim then wait again. With reps telling me that they can’t refund/reship the item because I did it too many times in the past and my account has been locked. But this is the first time ever that I called in and filed a missing package. Whenever I asked for proof and evidence on the claims i “submitted” in the past, they never show detailed information and would only repeat themselves on saying they can’t refund or reship the item bc I did it too many times in the past. Total waste of $3k and half of it I paid with a gc which means it’s unlikely that I will get my money back. If anyone has a suggestion on how they were able to get this back, please let me know.
Don’t shop here. Waste of money
Bloomingdales did not give anything for return.
I returned a gift using the online form. The online form indicated that I would receive a gift card once it was returned. They sent me an email saying they receive it, but not Bloomingdales refuses to send the gift card. They simply kept the merchandise. I have contacted them repeatedly, and they refuse to send it. I gave the order number and all relevant info about the address/name of the recipient and sender but they refuse. They just keep asking for the same info over and over again, perhaps, hoping I will give up.
Not that bad
Made my order on Sunday and receive my order on Thursday. they send my order by USPS not UPS, although the link they send is a UPS link. I did see lots of bad reviews about missing packages and it did not happen to me. I received my Rakuten cashback within 2 days after I made the order. Overall the web is fine as my order is around 100 dollars not really expensive.
Forced to Pay $5 Fee to Make Telephone Payment
This time and first time I went to make a payment online, they don't take debit cards, or Venmo or PayPal for payment. You need a routing and checking acct number, which I don't have a checking acct. So I go to call and make a phone payment. Automated system does not take debit cards, or Venmo or PayPal either. You are forced to talk to CS rep and pay $5. Bad business practice!!! And to boot, they won't add the $5 into the current payment you are making, but will send it on your next statement. Then it goes back to square 1 of making that $5 payment. Yes, I could have mailed in the payment, but this time it was too late for that. The CS rep had the audacity to say I could mail in the payment and save the $5, but for the group that I'm in, no checking account to write a check, we have to go get a money order that costs up to $5 and a 60 cents stamp. And that turns out more than the $5 fee for phone payment and just keeps this vicious circle going. I am closing my Bloomie's acct once I get the statement for the $5 fee. I'm over it!!!

I was charged $29000 for a jewelry purchase that was never received
Bloomingdales said they delivered
How can they deliver an expensive item like this without contacting an actual human to receive it if sign for it
Now it’s lost in transit and I have a hefty bill on my credit card UPS punted the claim back to Bloomingdales because most likely they didn’t pay for insurance
This is the biggest form of unreliable delivery I have ever experienced
From Bloomingdales it was completely unexpected
I disputed charge with just credit card but ideally Bloomingdales should not be cheap and ship without insurance or signature required method and then careless about the customer
Unbelievable reliability and lack of accountability
Pits customer service
I ordered a gift for my husband for…
I ordered a gift for my husband for Christmas. Tracking showed it was delivered. I looked all over and did not locate a package. I contacted Bloomingdale’s about this issue and they refused to send a replacement item or issue a refund. I contacted my bank. They opened a claim and stated Bloomingdale’s should not be refusing to send a replacement item or issue a refund.
Think twice on ordering from this company. Seems they’re scamming left and right.
Missing luxury bag and got no refund/replacement
Order Chloe bag and other brand bags. It was missing one Chloe bag in package which is cost $2k. One of customer service request replacement /refund and got denied. I called and they sent request again. I got an email asking I want refund or replacement. I told them refund because It's been 2 weeks and I already got new one in store. Next day, got an email said DENIED again. WHY ASK?
Wasted of time and money.
Bloomingdales lists themselves on…
Bloomingdales lists themselves on Rakuten, and you think you can save money and get cash back by shopping through their links. But Bloomingdale’s purposely lists their items as “out of stock” to avoid paying the Rakuten cash back fees. They also delay shipping their orders so they aren’t required to pay you the fees on Rakuten. They will also cancel your order. When you call to try and get your order reinstated they will of course place a new order without the tracking link. I was defrauded by Bloomingdales and lost over $50 that I should have earned on cash back through Rakuten. This company engages in unethical, and misleading behavior for the purpose of defrauding consumers. I will never order from them again.
I love their selection but their items…
I love their selection but their items simply take way too long to ship and make the purchase not worth it, I never receive the item in time for the event and their customer service is impossible to get a hold of.
Missing package
Missing package
Ordered a $1,190.00 Mackage coat, UPS says it was delivered at front door and it was lost! I called Bloomingdales and was told I need to wait 48 hours while they review the issue, so I called back to follow up and was told it was approved and I should see the refund by the 29th. So today 12/29 there’s no refund, I called and was told the claim was declined on 12/23 and that I was not getting a refund.
The customer service rep escalated the issue to another department and it’s going to take another 48 hours however; they advised that I call my bank which I didn’t want to go that route since it was a legitimate order that I placed, but ended up calling and it’s now being disputed and have to wait 7-10 days.
Don’t buy Gift Card from Bloomingdales
Many customers buy gift cards as a Holiday gift, well please think twice if you want to purchase a gift card from Bloomingdales!
If you give a Bloomingdale Gift Card to someone, and they buy few items from Bloomingdales on a same order (exceeding amount of the Gift Card), and they pay part with a gift card you gave them, and the remaining balance with credit card this is what is going to happen!
If they return part of the order the credit card payment is applied first to the order and the gift card Bloomingdales applies as a last form of payment. If they return any item from the order they are going to give them back the gift card, and what they paid with Bloomingdales credit card or any other credit card payment is not reduced.
I used $231.42 gift card for three items I ordered and the rest I used Bloomingdales credit card. I returned two items, and I kept only one item for $75.70
I was very surprised when I got the entire $231.42 gift card back on a Bloomingdale “Happy Return Gift Card” and asked to pay Bloomingdales credit card balance of $75.70
The Happy Return Gift Card” given back to me should have $155.72 and no payment required on Bloomingdales credit card.
I talked to customer service representative, and to upper manager, and they were not helpful in resolving this problem. It looks like Bloomingdales do not understand that when they sale Gift Cards they already have money in their asset account and this form of payment should be used first on any order and any item kept from the order with multiple items, and customer with situation like this should not be asked to give them more money when having gift cards that Bloomingdales doesn’t allow them to use.
Traumatized
I was treated terribly by a "customer service" representative who insulted me and treated me with unacceptable levels of disrespect. I reported this experience to Bloomingdales but I don't know if anything has been done about the situation. The treatment was so hurtful it caused me to cry. I feel bullied and deeply traumatized.
No refund
Similar to the previous review, I made an online order which the UPS said was delivered to the doorman. However, my apartment doorman abd I looked through all the packages, nothing was for me. Now, Bloomingdale's does not want to reship the item or refund. I am going to claim a dispute to my credit card. I am not paying for nothing. Also, 2 of the 3 items that I ordered were out of stock. They gave me a 20% off promotion code which does not even apply for the items I want.
