I worked at this workplace last year…
I worked at this workplace last year and I was clearly subjected to discrimination because I am gay; when I tried to discuss this with my supervisor, they refused to speak with me, so I first reported the situation to the police, and as a result my manager stopped assigning me any work for about 20 days and I was unable to reach them despite my attempts, and only after I escalated the matter through a lawyer did they start contacting me again, but the communication was insincere and led to no resolution; I was the one who faced discrimination, yet instead of protecting me, they protected the person responsible, who had also harassed multiple female employees, and even though these women collected signatures and reported it to management, no action was taken, and after one of the victims transferred to another branch, that same person was later deliberately sent to work there, which caused serious psychological distress; in addition, the hygiene conditions at the workplace were extremely poor, gloves were hidden in the mornings and we were told to reuse the same gloves among multiple staff members or not use gloves at all, even though we were changing patients’ diapers and then going to other homes to prepare food, which is clearly dangerous; furthermore, we were sent to do off-the-record cleaning jobs that were never registered in the system, and we were told payments were handled informally, meaning that our actual working hours and client visits were intentionally hidden; if you are considering working here or trusting this place with the care of a loved one, I strongly advise you to think twice, as this was the lowest quality and worst workplace I have experienced in Sweden, where my rights were not protected and those who tried to stand up for themselves were silenced, and if you do not believe me, you are welcome to contact me and I can provide documentation.
