Blacks - Bury St Edmunds Omdömen

Went back again to Bury to buy walking shoes because the service is always good & there is never any problem with after sales service should you need it. Charlie is your man for shoes & boots, very knowledgeable if you need any advice.

I would like to thank Danielle for expert help & advise choosing walking boots for my trip to the Faroe Islands

Lovely sales experience with buying proper hiking walking shoes. Danielle the sales assistant advised in various styles and brands, and was very patient with the whole process which does take time.Very much appreciate the time spent on being able to decide calmly which shoes were the best. Thank you

Popped in to get some new walking shoes for dog walking in the winter months and was served by Joe.
He really knew is stuff and was very informative about the different brands and features available. Great friendly service and asked good follow up questions to identify what would be best for me. He also was happy to investigate when I found a defect in the first brand I tried on.
The shoes themselves are an excellent black pair of Salomon’s, reasonably priced for the quality and goretex waterproofing.
Overall I’d recommend getting your outdoor shoes there 👍

We were served by Joe who was excellent, really knowledgeable and super helpful. I was very pleased with my purchase.

My son and I visted the Bury St Edmunds store looking for walking boots/shoes for his pending walk of the West Highland Way. Faced with different styles, prices and confusion, we were greated by Joe and given all the information needed to help make a purchase. Joe knew the products well, was able to give his opinion of what he felt suited the trek and went over and above. My son completed the very wet, 96 mile trek this week and not one blister!! Thank you Joe. You are a credit to the company and we would use Blacks again in the future for any future needs.

Served by Joe upstairs for a new pair of boots. With difficulty in finding something that is comfortable and fits my feet , it is always difficult but Joe was happy to get out as many different boots as I need and gave excellent advice on makes and styles, well done and thank you.

I had an issue with a product I purchased and could only find my credit card statement. I called the store who traced the receipt and the product issue resolved. Thank you Dave and Jamie. The service over the phone and in store was excellent. Thank you. Bury St Edmunds store.

So impressed with the service. Went in to look at walking shoes. Dave was really helpful in his advice, and very patient in getting more and more shoes for me to try. Very knowledgeable and gave me the information I needed to make a decision.

Ordered on line, collected from Bury st edmunds. Very helpful staff

Great service and friendly staff specially Joe ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I came in looking for a specific type of Merrell trainer. Isaac was extremely helpful in finding what I was looking for. His professional customer service made the experience very easy and I came away with my new trainers.

Pick up from Bury St Edmunds store. Friendly, approachable staff. Items in stock, so bagged in a store recyclable bag. Answered my query on size and available stock. Would recommend this store.

We would like to give a big shout out for joe at blacks Bury St edmunds, he was just brilliant! very helpful and super friendly guy. Thanks again for giving us some good advice on your products and going above and beyond!

I had an excellent experience yesterday at Black‘s where I was trying to buy some midi walking boots. Neil who served me gave me new information that I didn’t know about and was so helpful. I always enjoy shopping at Black’s because all the staff are really friendly.

Came in for smidge insect repellent. “It’s upstairs” said one assistant. “I’ll go and get it” said another. In a flash, there it was - at the till.

It is often the little things that count - just like this. Thank you!

As per usual going into a shop to find size 13 shoes starts off with "Do you know if you have any size 13 shoes?" The younger guy points to Dan, (or Joe, definitely 3 letters), who guides me upstairs. Back in two minutes he brings 3 boxes of various price range size 13 shoes and iterates that there are boots on the way. We chat about various trips, boot technology and the Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy. All in all very friendly and professional and I walk out with super comfortable perfect size Merrels at a very reasonable price. Generally a very pleasant experience.

Went in to buy my son's first scout rucksack. Danielle provided an excellent service and ensured that the bag fitted properly and offered great advise. We left happy with a well fitted bag for sons camping trip, he even wore it for the rest of the day which was handy for carrying shopping!!

I was in Blacks yesterday, looking for a light weight
jacket, when a young assistant approached me offering
his help. He was extremely helpful, finding one jacket
after another for me to try, nothing was too much bother,
it was rather a pity I could not find anything suitable
but before leaving the shop, I thanked him for his patience, and was thinking what a great sales assistant he was, his name is Jamie
