Bought a delivered top of line electrolux washer and dryer and asked it not be set up as I'd be moving soon...they had one guy in truck tearing open boxes and putting on base risers before I knew what was happening. I said I needed them boxed...they said it is supposed to be unboxed. They scratched the units and screwed hoses in wrong stripping the supply recepticle. They did replace the unit or units I can't remember it's been so long. Upon bringing replacements same thing...they unboxed despite again my asking they not unbox the units. The base had scratches and I asked they send me touch up paint. We played phone tag forever and they never delivered paint. I have units in my forever home now that have NEVER BEEN ABLE TO BE USED as they reversed doors and never put in all bolts/screws. . It's a been a year and the doors were never right preventing use. Big Sandy's as a store and selling is great...the delivery is absolutely horrible. I WISH I HAD SHOPPED ELSEWHERE. They just built a store within a few miles from my home and I'm hoping my neighbors don't need delivery of anything. I don't even know how to get the screws for doors...and the hoses are not all braided?? Hello the weakest point is the max durability of anything. * You need better installers (and delivery people need to respect a buyer's wishes to leave items in shipping boxes).

If there was a zero, I’d mark that for my rating. Most terrible experience I’ve ever had with any store I have patronized. Poor management. No customer service. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing, nor do they care. They have poor communication with the customer, If any. It’s almost 2 years since I purchased a queen-sized mattress from this store. The first mattress sank leaving a gaping hole in the center of it. I’m under 140 pounds. After complaining about it and the back pain it caused me, it took several weeks just to get someone to come out and measure the swail, as this is common practice to determine if the size or depth of the swail warrants a replacement. My mattress was considered “defective”, so they shipped a 2nd one of the identical mattress size and model. They assured me this never happens, and this one will be terrific. After a few weeks, this 2nd mattress demonstrated a swail, but this time, my back pain was worse, and the swail seemed worse than the first mattress. Now I’m going on a year, and I’ve been under stress calling, being transferred back and forth between departments, service personnel, talking with several different people at the store and the headquarters, with little help. Finally, a different man was sent out to measure the swail on this 2nd mattress. He told me that my mattress was defective as one entire side of the mattress was breaking down and collapsing. I then questioned if my mattresses were both defective or used. How could this happen? Many weeks went by without hearing from anyone. Finally, I received a call saying my new (3rd) mattress that I ordered had arrived and they wanted to set up a delivery date and time. But I had not ordered a mattress. So I called to ask what had happened. I was NOT going to get that same model as the other 2! They said they ordered it despite my frustrations and awful experiences. I assured them I wanted to make sure the next one was not the same model. No way would I have ordered the same one. They told me I could order a different model, but I’d have to pay more money!!! Why would I put out more money especially after what they put me through, and it’s almost been 2 years!!! This place is shady. Perhaps selling used or irregular furniture and appliances.

f I could give this store a negative star, I would do it. My experience has been going on for over a year now, with no resolution til this date. Customer service throws their hands up and says there is nothing they can do. Don't bother calling corporate, they don't return calls either. To make a VERY LONG STORY short(it has been over a year remember), we ordered both a dishwasher and refrigerator that I believe(again it's been more than a year) was over 5k around Labor Day last year. Yes it was during the pandemic and we were more than willing to wait. HOWEVER, when the fridge was delivered, it was damaged. To get a faster response, we just asked for a door replacement, b/c an entire new fridge would take longer to receive. Well after 3 months, no word on our replacement. I called, spoke to a manager, who verified it was still on order. During the next 2-3 months, I again heard nothing. After loosing it with the manager over this issue, they promptly sent me a text that my parts were ready for install!! Umm, no. You will not put a new manufactured door on my brand new 1 yr old fridge. At this point, I want a full exchange. I'm still listening to crickets. At this point, come get this damn fridge, give me my money back and I will shop elsewhere. This is NOT a pandemic issue. This is a corporation issue. Do not shop here, b/c if you experience a problem, they will not make it right.

Bought a new couch ,it started falling apart 30 days later called them out and they would not stand behind there product ,Im 56 and have no pets ,they are not honest.Do not trust them the BBB is funded by buiness so they side with the rich stores

Purchased a new high end front load washer and dryer along with a $300 service plan. Washer shows up with mold in the dispenser tray. I should have refused it then and there but delivery guy assured me it was from factory testing. (sure).

Washer shook entire house even with a small load. Finally, less than a year after purchase it basiclly exploded.

We called to get it services.... 13 days to get a tech here. What choice did we have but to wait 13 days. I took the washer apart myself in hopes of finding the issue so I could inform them what parts to bring. Sure enough the springs and shocks busted so I called them and told them what they need to bring.

Service tech shows up... yup you need springs and shocks. Got to order them, will be 7-10 days.

So... 23 days later we might have a working washer. Their customer services is completely rude and unempathetic to the fact you spent a crap ton of money with them for a defective product and also spent an additional crap ton of money for their lousy service.

Walk away folks...

bought a 70 inch tv online . well, they called said they
didnt have the one i ordered so talked me into accepting one one floor with 10 percent off . ordered it in may dodnt receive it until july and when we put it on wall it never came on . so now repair man has came out needs panel we never watched this tv and already receive a bill. i have been shopping with big sandy for over 20 years they use to put customers first. beware they talk a good talk until you buy it. make sure you have insurance . im looking into finding another store to shop with hey walmart always treats me good should have bought it there.
dont want anyone one else go though what i have and still going through. still have no working tv on my wall. big sandy superstore thinks about the green and not there customers.

Last year the ice maker went out in my refrigerator. It took them four trips and around five weeks to get it fixed. This year my ice maker went out again. July first he installed a new one. It was freezing the water now but wouldn’t dump. He came back a week later and looked at it and said I needed a new compressor. He installed the new compressor on July 20th. Went into th fridge on the 22nd and it was warm. All of the cheese was moldy and it smelled bad. We lost everything in the fridge and freezer. Around $400 to $500 worth of food. A different tech came out today July 26th and as soon as he took the back cover off he saw the problem. The tech that installed the compressor never soldered the joints. That means he never did the pressure test or vacuum test that is normally done after a compressor install. Waiting to hear back from Donna a manager at corporate to see if they are going to reimburse me for their incompetence. I don’t have a good feeling about that either.

Our salesman Rob in Parkersburg went above and beyond to help us with a new stackable washer & dryer purchase. When a company has hard working men and women like this it’s easy to do business with them on a regular basis. This is the second major appliance purchase at this store and Lord willing it won’t be our last. Blessings, randy

After my initial positive review of this store, I recant...We ordered around $3500 in bedroom furniture to be delivered in about a month. The Sales Rep checked while we were still there and assured us that it was available. Over a week later they contacted us to tell us it wasn't available. Totally unacceptable way to do business. We bought from a small local reputable business and bought a very similar and better quality furniture group and it was delivered the next day. This place should be called "Big Shadys". Lesson learned

Shady company do not do business with these people .

worst charleston wv store ever. does not honor purchased extended warrenty on appliances. manager and co manager added $150.00 to layawayed even exchange when merchandised was payed off in full. ( i witness the manager add $150,00 dollar extra to an african americans paid layaway also told (will give name and phone number) the man his item was not in yet but i have a simlar for $150.00 more african american person was just as upset as i was. man shared he had been sent to an out of town big sandy location and item was not there either. ) frigidaire refrigerator freezer wall cracked in half. i was offered duct tape for repairs by big sandy . refrigerator was under warranty. i was told model not at chas. store so I was offered to purchase differ t frigidaire for a little more money which I did and layawayed paid monthly when I went to make my last payment and schedule delivery that is when the store manager and co manager added the $150.00 more to purchase. may the Lord repay them both according to their deed. 2 Timothy 4:14-18 NT (kjv)

My 8 month old refrigerator iced up and quit working. I lost a lot of food. Serviceman came and said he would order part and it would be 3 to 5 days, now it is 3 weeks. Called to ask for new refrigerator and lady hung up on me! Terrible service!

After reviewing a sale email we drove to Gaylord to look at a mattress.
We were not pleased when we got there and they did not have the mattress.they advertised in the email. We were told they don’t carry everything in the email and the sales person was not helpful at all.
We ended up going elsewhere and found a mattress.

I purchased about $3,000 worth of furniture and other items from Big Sandy. Everything went fine until my son was dissatisfied with his pillow purchase. He wanted to exchange it for a lower profile pillow. It was a Purple brand pillow. Purple has a 100 day guarantee on their pillows and mattresses. We purchased it at Big Sandy instead of directly through Purple because the sales person led us to believe that we would have the same guarantee with the convenience of taking it home with us the same day. Totally wrong. Big Sandy refused to honor the Purple guarantee we were stuck with the pillow. I have four more rooms to furnish - I won’t be shopping there for any of it.

My daughter bought 2 steel flex couches, and 2 recliners in november 2020, and this is mid april 2021.. she recceived the couches , although one had mechanical issues and had to be repaired.. she has yet to receive the recliners...they promise every 2 weeks they will be delivered but they continue to put her off and promise again..this is unacceptable.. I know there was a virus and that created a problem..I have a friend that had same problem before COVID 19 and they put her off until finally saying furniture was discontinued..
evidentally this is a common practice with this company..

Placed an online order for a baby furniture set with a charge for assembly. Two months later, when I called for an update on the 4-6 weeks for delivery, I was told the set was discontinued.
Emily at the Wheelersburg, Ohio distribution center was very helpful emailing me options to choose from. We needed the set to be “assembled” on site and I was told it would be. That that’s what White Glove PREMIUM delivery meant.
Three (3) months later they can deliver everything Except the dresser. Note: the baby is now due in two weeks!!!
Upon arrival they inform me they don’t assemble. Management’s response was “the web discloses assembly required”.
Worst customer service ever! They should stand by their associates promises. Worst $2G I’ve ever spent.

Bought a washer and dryer at the Teays Valley location from Tonya Mcqueen. She was so helpful and knows her stuff! I absolutely love them!!! Thank you Tonya for all your help!

Purchased a washer from Tonya McQueen at Big Sandy in Hurricane WV , Tonya was very helpful and knowledgeable.Will return again!

I should of known buying anything from this store was a mistake! Walked around the whole store for a hour and not once did anyone greet me or ask if I needed help! However found a sectional I really liked decide to purchase it was told it would in on Tuesday at a different location to pick up so I rented a truck and went to pick up at designated time got there only only had half the couch when I told the guy working at the customer pick up he looked at me and sadly very rudely well that’s not my problem! So I went back inside the store and spoke to the lady who really could careless about the issue and the guys rude mouth and she said will get it to you Friday maybe Saturday..Very rude people and not helpful! I will never purchase from them again!

Absolutely the worst company we have ever dealt with. Just finished building a home and prior to the build being completed, we purchased an appliance package with them in excess of $8000. The delivery and installation was a nightmare. There were so many issues, I don’t even know where to start. Rude, incompetent and unprofessional delivery and installation crews. Management and sales is about the same. They left hundreds of dollars in damage to our new home with a botched installation.
