I knocked off 1 star as facilities for…
I knocked off 1 star as facilities for disabled showering. There is only 1 and most of the time able people are using it and I have to stand waiting for them to come out, in the meantime I am getting freezing. On another note the staff are fabulous, kind and happy people.

Life changing experience
Joining Truro Better gym has made a massive difference to my health. Before joining I was lonely, and in pain with Osteoarthritis and walked with a stick. After 6 months of personalised gym sessions, daily AM swim's and aquarobics, I have no pain, have lost weight and am generally optimistic for the future. I love Sunday aquarobics, with great rock music. Thank you so much. A few more closed shower cubicles would be nice, even a grab rail inside one for though a light less stable but apart from that, I could not recommend you any higher. Everyone is so friendly and professional. It feels like a family.

Staff are great at Truro Leisure pool
Staff are great at Truro Leisure pool. I love the swim and the aqua fit classes. There are a few fitness instructors and they all have a slightly different style which is great as you never get bored with the ‘same old thing’. Its was Danielle today and She is amazing 😻
It’s a bit of a pain with the refurbishments going on- but hopefully in the end it’ll be better than ever!

Staff at Truro are so friendly! I particularly enjoyed a aqua aerobic session with Nancy. Christopher couldn't do enough for me. Tom is always so helpful. Ivor gave us the best swimming lesson we ever had. Anna always does a great workout. Well done and huge thanks.

Gym introduction
I recently attended a gym introduction session with Paul at Truro Leisure Centre and had a great experience. Paul was dedicated , friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain how to use the equipment safely and correctly, making me feel comfortable and confident in the gym environment.
He was patient with all my questions and tailored his advice to my fitness goals and experience level. The session was informative, encouraging, and well-paced, helping me understand how to make the most of the facilities available.
I would highly recommend Paul to anyone starting their fitness journey or looking for guidance and better result. His positive attitude and expertise made the introduction session both enjoyable and valuable.

Lessons OK, Cleanliness Less So.
The swimming lessons are ok, the trainers seem really nice. However, the toilets and therefore the whole changing room seem to stink of pee/ sewage, this is perpetual whenever we go. The floor feels a bit gross after the heavy foot traffic and you rarely see anyone cleaning in the 2 hours I am there.
No one is on the desk most times and you have to ring and then someone will grudgingly come to the desk. I’ve been made to feel a nuisance when you ring the bell so I’d rather someone just be there but understand economically it’s not feasible.

Amazing aqua and instructors
Love the aqua here the instructor's are so good, definitely get those muscles working lol nice gym too Paul goes out of his way to help you with the equipment and explains things so well plus an all rounder often see him painting the doors etc definitely needs a raise lol

Swimming lessons
My daughter has been doing one to one swimming lessons with Kyla for a couple of months now and her swimming as come on leaps and bounds!
Kyla is a wonderful teacher, my daughter feels so confident with her and looks forward to her lessons.

I’m so glad I got introduced to the gym and Aqua at Truro leisure Centre. It’s made a big difference to my life. I have spinal problem so this activities I do is amazing and helping me so much. I wish I knew about it years ago. I must say, staff have been amazing making you really welcome love coming Mondays Wednesdays, Fridays Linda Moore.😊

Far too expensive
I do not understand how Truro can cost so much more than other leisure centres I use. I visit from time to time when in the area as I need to do fitness classes for my health. But the classes here at £11.45 are (in my opinion) extortionate for anyone on a lower income (I'm an OAP). As I only use occasionally, the membership offers are no help. I live in West Sussex, and for identical classes I pay £7.15 per session. I really think Better need to have a hard think about how they are adversely affecting people who really need their services, but are priced out of them.
