For International Women’s Day, Zumba Class
For International Women’s Day a Zumba class was put on with Kat teaching it.
It was energetic and fun!
Great music playlist.
Afterwards the club put out a table with hot and cold drinks and a variety of fruit, cakes and pastries for members to help themselves to.
These events bring members together and provide a sense of community.
Look forward to the next one!

Loved the Women’s Only Zumba class!
I attended the Women’s Only Zumba class with Kat today, which celebrated International Women’s Day. I had so much fun and would definitely love to have more events like this in the future! Kat is always so energetic, cheerful, and inspirational. I’ve been attending her regular classes on Thursdays, and I’ve enjoyed every single one of them.
We also got to enjoy fruits and snacks after the Zumba class, and we had time to mingle, which was very nice. I would love to join similar events in the future!

A great place to train! The facilities are well-maintained, the atmosphere is ALWAYS welcoming, and the classes are always top quality. The staff make all the difference—Elias, Yusuf, Kayleigh, Klaudia & Safaa are especially amazing, always bringing great energy and support. Whether you’re into squash, strength training, or group fitness, this place has everything you need. Highly recommend!

Great induction
I just had a great induction with Yusuf. Having not been in a gym for years I was nervous about using all the equipment but he put me at ease and showed be how everything worked. I am looking forward to trying my routines and gaining confidence and strength. Better Hammersmith is a great neighbourhood gym. Clean, bright and friendly.

The gym has a new manager and Nas has…
The gym has a new manager and Nas has made such a huge difference in the few weeks that she has been there. The new showers are brilliant and the place is a lot cleaner. You can see the effort going into the floor in the men's changing room. I've been a member for most of the last 20 years with a break during Covid and it's the best that it's ever been. There are more changes planned so watch this space. A bargain price wise.

I used to attend this gym in 2023 and I…
I used to attend this gym in 2023 and I liked it. I have now joined back January 2025 and I can see so much more improve improvement starting with the cleanliness. I feel like the gym is kept to a great standard of Cleanliness, I feel like the blue antibacterial wipes should be checked to see if they need restocking As a few times, I have gone to get some to wipe down a machine and there wasn’t any. On many occasions, I have come into the changing rooms and there’s somebody cleaning and mopping the floor. The staff are very approachable, friendly and helpful and the new general manager is very nice. You can tell that she really cares about her role at Better gym. I feel like this gym has a good verity of equipment and I like the classes. I Do however feel like there should be a dedicated room for some of the classes as sometimes it can interfere with a PT session if you need to use the track. Overall, I am happy and I would recommend this Gym to anybody. It would be nice if they had a swimming pool here with sauna and steam (maybe in the future)

Men’s showers - appalling
Joined last week. Cancelled my membership today.
The men’s showers are appalling and need maintenance.
Of all the showers only 3 are working.
One has only cold water, another not working, the other stays on for 3 seconds and not enough water comes out to be able to shower and the other has the start button hanging off the wall by the wire.
Yesterday I went to shower and the first shower had no soap in it. Notified the manager and she said she’d get it topped up.
Clearly didn’t happen, as at 2pm today after a cardio workout I went to shower and the same shower had no soap. Then tried the next one, no soap, and the third and final shower, no soap.
So out of the 3 working showers, none had soap in them!
They clearly don’t pay any attention to the facilities or maintain them.

You don't have enough tools , machines and equipment, and most of the movements of the body parts are without machines, for example: movements of the forearm, back of the arm, shoulder, chest

Not worth more than 3 stars
Not worth more than 3 stars in my opinion for £29 a month. Loads of cardio machines but not enough stair masters or leg press machines etc. basically anything on the ground floor where the reception is, there is not enough of and you have to wait your turn which can be a pain most days

Hip abductor …
I had a good experience of using the hip abductor in the Hammersmith council gym to strengthen my muscles around my hip because in future I will need a hip replacement of my left hip and need to be recommended for an MRI scan and put on the NHS waiting list for a hip replacement
