Better - Clissold Leisure Centre Omdömen 

Less the 1 star actually I had an option. I got confused with the date and the reception dont have a system to book you in. I know I am the stupid one for confusin the the 6 to an 8. But if they checked me in by name when I arrive I would have not been waiting half an hour. Before realising that I had the wrong day.

I have been significantly struggling with MH in recent months, having my induction and membership completed with George at Clissold park was enlightening and really helped a long way. I was anxious and felt depleted but left feeling encouraged by him. So thank you:)

I joined the Clissold Leisure Centre recently.
The staff are so kind and helpful and the facilty is incredible.
The staff work really hard to keep the place clean, which must be so difficult considering the footfall.
It's in need of some refurbishment which, I believe, is currently underway.
Overall, this is an amzing facility to have in the community.

I'm quite happy. George the instructor is great. we learn a lot of things how our body works and also nutrition.

I like that the staff and the fact that they are stern and keen to teach.
The changing rooms are clean although there are not enough of them and not enough showers for the amount of young people having a class all at one time

Perfect facility for all sports and activities. Always clean and staff is nice. Big sports Hall. Well maintained competition pool and newish gym.

The idea is good but there was nobody to help the four year old ease in into what was to them, a completely new environment with unknown kids. They were disoriented, felt they didn't know what to do while everyone else did, started crying, came to me and refused to go back. Sad.

In the beginning of January, I phoned a person with Relay UK app. I have transferred to another gym because my old gym was redeveloped. In the new gym is quite nice, but the lift isn’t working, so I have to walk up to second floor from basement because I’m born cerebral palsy.

As a member I cannot believe you have the health suite in that state my OCD kicked in instantly and left I would advise you just go into the toilet and look at all the rust surrounding the actual toilet and parts of the spa the ceilings have broken paint hanging and debris lying on the roof that u can see just by looking up the tub looks grimey I couldn't bare to even get in and to top it off you have women that go into the steam room and comb thier hair clumps of hair in the steam Room seats and floor also you have kids running up and down the changing rooms playing with hairdryers playing in cubicles respectfully this is the worst health suite I've been in and won't be using it again unless it is refurbished a group of members were discussing leaving because of this htgen3is absolutely diabolical

Over all I find the people lovely at Better. I find their prices are getting expensive. This is supposed to be a community Sports centre , but is now becoming a private exclusive sports centre with their prices.

I was happy about the way my instructor took me through all i needed to know and how to go about it.

Extremely Dangerous and Poorly Managed – Do Not Take Your Children Here

My son’s first swimming lesson at Clissold Leisure Centre was a nightmare. The instructor, Jane, called all the kids to enter the pool, and my son assumed it was his turn. She got distracted and looked at another child, and my son dived in he nearly drowned. The lifeguard, a blonde woman, did absolutely nothing except say “oh.” She didn’t move a muscle. This is completely unacceptable.

Children deserve competent instructors and lifeguards who can actually respond in an emergency. Please, find staff who are trained and responsible.

On top of this, the centre is run-down, with filthy changing rooms, tiny shower cubicles, and dirty floors.

I would not recommend this place to anyone especially parents with young children.

Gym is full of kids and people put their bags and jackets all around the gym like it’s a cloakroom, and you charge me over £60 a month

This used to be a nice gym but they've over subscribed. Too many people. Lights extremely bright. Children section as you enter. No consideration for neurodiversity. Its very very greedy. Also, taken the sauna away from people on GP referrals. Very telling.

This centre is situated in a prime location for adjoining communities, offering a space for individuals to manage their fitness and health. Providing a wide range of fitness activities and options to suit a diverse range of physicalities.
However, the management of upkeep, maintenance, and other in-house operations is less than satisfactory and much to be desired, despite highlighting these issues on numerous occasions to management, staff, and customers alike, all of which have fallen on uncompromising and deaf ears. These longstanding issues include AC in Studio 1, proper ventilation, and the suggestion of installing 1 or 2 industrial fans in the sports hall, as AC is not economically viable for that area. Drinking water issue, i.e. water pressure or the lack thereof in the gym. Revisiting the procedure and/or specification of cleaning, specifically the changing rooms and shower areas. That is, certainly it cannot be just the floors that require cleaning, what about the showers themselves and frequency, as too the changing rooms.
On closer notice, it appears that management creates this great space, a lovely selling point for the business, and focuses on providing services geared towards individuals who are in and out on an hourly basis; therefore, not much attention is paid to anything else. In that case, there would be little to notice that would be available for constructive critique. Likewise, said criticism as to the frequency of deep cleaning in the health suite
