Really easy to sort out the right insurance for myself

Quick responses, reassuring service and excellent value for money; in these days of uncertainty this is real peace of mind!

I've been paying for this income protection policy for several years, and unfortunately I've recently had to make a claim. The whole process has been professional from start to finish.
As long as you provide the requested evidence and keep them updated, everything has been straightforward. My claim was assessed fairly, and my monthly payments have been made on time without any issues.
The communication has been clear, and the claims team have been helpful throughout. Based on my experience so far, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I purchased a best insurance policy approximately seven years ago.

At the time, I didn’t think I would ever need it but purchased as a precaution.
The adviser was easy to work with, communication was clear and whilst the product costs were high (based on my age, profession, sum insured etc etc), Best Insurance were more competitive than similar brokers.

I am really glad that I did purchase the policy as I have recently needed to claim.
The claims process was simple and the policy has paid out in line with the policy terms and my expectations, resulting in one less thing to worry about in a difficult time!

The amount of paperwork and admin involved with progressing a claim is so much and when you're not at all well (I had cancer, surgeries, sepsis and chemotherapy) this is the last thing you need. I mentioned this to the team and their response was, we need the infomation to progress your claim - not particularly helpful or supportive like the suggest they would be. Also, this meant I didn't get any payments (income support) for ages after I stopped working. I had to stop working in November 2025 and I didn't get my first payments until May 2026. This put me in a very difficult financial situation. Also when calculating my payment, it appeared that they would calculate in whatever way would pay me the least amount of money, which I found very frustrating and went back to them three times to correct them or clarify how they calculated my payment. I did increase my payment by 70% by doing this so would recommend questioning the calculations if you are not agreeing with the amount.
The team members who worked on my claim were very kind and communicated well with me, ensuring my queries were dealt with in a timely manner and kept me updated if there were any delays which was appreciated.

Very good experience with this company so far. Following recent redundancy it has been a real help. Helpful and swift communication. Recommended.

Easy to use, the only thing I found hard is having my personal statements analysed to the point of explaining my mum giving me £20, whilst I appreciate they need to ensure no income, that’s a bit much.

My 1st enquiry of taking out income support was delt really quickly, I didnt need to ask any questions due to it all being explained clearly, I put a claim in as I had injured myself, this wasn't so easy but it has been excepted.

Garbage insurance ,you believe i have been paid well as of 6pm friday recieved f*#k all ,i am now meeting a solicter on monday afternoon to let them deal with it,i shall be claiming compensation for streess,and having to take a pension early to pay my bills

Awful experience after being made redundant in Feb, having claim denied to having to appeal & having decision overturned.
The main issue is best insurance pass everything onto claims cog who are impossible to contact on phone, your told repeatedly they will call you back which never happens and any timescales you're given are never met.
Being made redundant is such a stressful time and the the total lack of support & communication enhanced the stress, my claim went on so long I had to go back to work earlier than I would have liked in a role that wasn't suitable but had no choice as insurance at this point had been declined.

I found any dealings were fast and helpful and my claim was dealt with speedily and I was kept informed on the various different stages.

Do not use this company, their underwriters will twist answers between you and your company, then decline your claim, whilst collecting royalties for years. Nothing is straight forward and they will drag it out, until what they think is something in the small print.

Faithfully and honestly paid my policy for 3 years. I was made redundant in April 2026. So I initiated a claim, but very quickly the tone of any communication clearly changed into "how can we weasel out of paying this?" Asking me ridiculous questions about an unrelated purchase my company did of another one over 2 years ago and how that affected my role which was absolutely nothing to do with my redundancy, it was ultimately as a result of work being offshored to the Philippines. Thankfully I was able to advise that I'd found a new job and just to cancel the claim and my policy. Lesson learned, I'll just put savings away from now on to tide me over if this happens again.
