Smooth ordering experience, express delivery, phenomenal assembly team (thanks John Millard)
My King ottoman gas lift bed was delivered yesterday. The order process was effortless thanks to George the Slough branch manager - followed then by an exceptional service provided by the delivery and assembly team of John Millard and Ben!
John and Ben are 2 phenomenal ambassadors of Bensons for Beds! They were polite, courteous, friendly and professional from the moment of arrival. They first inspected the room to ensure the right space for the bed and took great care while building the bed to ensure it was perfectly done giving me great peace of mind knowing the Ottoman gas lift assembly was all done just right! John explained its features, max mattress weight and any other items to be aware of with the gas lift mechanism. I have previously been a Dreams customer and this was my first time ordering from Bensons. The delivery team shoulder a large share of responsibility for the customer experience and brand loyalty, as they are the ones coming into the home of the customer to ensure customer delight - and John and Ben did just that - thank you! I look forward to ordering again from Bensons if they continue with such a 10 star service!
The express delivery within 5 days was the cherry on the cake too!

Ordered two beds two months ago and stipulated that delivery would require a smaller van as access via a track road. Unsuccessful delivery today as the van was brand new and claimed that the road was too narrow despite similar deliveries made over the last 7 years with same size vehicles. New delivery date in 4 weeks…..

Excellent customer service
I purchased a brand new mattress, ottoman base and headset over the bank holiday weekend. The sales staff (Shabaz) and the management team (George) were excellent. Both were very courteous and professional and helped me select the right bed and also offered me a very good deal. I would recommend Bensons for Beds-Slough to other customers!!!

Promised delivery date was never real — had to fight for a refund of my time and trust
Ordered a Sealy Bronte mattress and protector (£1,659.98) in person at the Slough store. The salesperson, Keith, told me clearly it would be delivered on 21 August, and I planned around that. What I didn't find out until later is that Bensons' own system generated a second, contradictory order confirmation just 36 minutes after the first — already showing a delivery date of 2 September — and nobody bothered to tell me. I only found out because I had to chase them myself.
On 21 August, the day I'd been promised delivery, no one called. I waited until midday, then rang them, and was told it had actually slipped to 2 September — nearly two weeks late, with zero warning. After a frustrating call I managed to talk them down to 27 August, still six days later than agreed, with no real explanation for how a "confirmed" delivery date could be wrong before the order was even a day old.
If you buy in-store, don't trust the delivery date you're given verbally — check your email for a second, contradicting confirmation, because Bensons apparently won't tell you about it themselves.
