Excellent Service and Comfortable Bed

Delighted with my new bed! The service was excellent from start to finish. The delivery team arrived promptly, assembled the bed quickly and efficiently, and tidied up afterward. Highly recommended.

On my first visit to the Reading store, the staff seemed uninterested in explaining products, likely assuming I wasn’t ready to buy. I decided not to return. However, I later found a bed online that piqued my interest, so I visited again, planning to view the item and order online.

This time, I met Ishry, who was exceptional. He thoroughly explained the product’s features, financing options, assembly, and care details. The Reading store has an impressive range of beds and mattresses, but it’s the salesperson’s expertise that truly helps you make an informed decision.

I recommend Bensons for Beds train all staff to provide the same level of service and not focus only on certain customers. Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase and eagerly awaiting delivery.

We had a very good experience in the store at Reading Forbury Retail park. Farooq our sales executive was really helpful in helping us find the right bed and explained us all the details during the process. I would definitely recommend Benson beds for a high quality products at a reasonable price.

We visited twice this store before making the purchase. The first time staffs were not much helpful and asked us to explore the store by ourselves. However our second time visit was really great and I would really appreciate Ishry’s support. His insights about the product and buying-delivery process gave us confidence and we made the purchase.

It has been 10 years since we purchased our previous bed from Bensons. Ironically 10 years on we were assisted by the same Sales Rep. Richie from the Forbury Gardens store was very helpful on the day of our purchase and has offered great customer service since. We are yet to receive our mattress however the communication from Bensons for Beds has been great up to now.

The service was good. Attentive and suggesting suitable alternatives, when appropriate. The no-tricks 20% discount has helped.

The beds were delivered on time and with care.

Absolutely appalling customer service. I went here to buy a mattress and two pillows and ended up buying a relatively high end one (£2500), I was in a bit of a hurry and ended up paying on a card I didn't mean to as the man in the store told me I could not use my amex card. I then went online after getting home and saw you can pay by amex (it says on the website and at checkout let's you use amex). So I then contacted customer services to get a refund on my card and re charged on my amex but after getting the run around (telling me via email I can pay by amex but can't be refunded but then changing their minds and telling me I can't pay by amex) I called up was told on the phone to go into store.

I then decided I didn't have it in me to argue this anymore.

However I did go back to store to exchange a pillow I didn't want anymore and wanted a different one (unopened with labels still attached). They told me they don't return/exchange pillows.

Utter madness and complete lack of knowledge from staff either they don't know policy or are intentionally keeping it from customers so they can get a commission on a sale (I.e. if in store I couldn't pay by amex they should have told me I could pay online with amex). Consumer rights also means I should be able to return the pillow and all the staff in store should be able to do this.

I now intend to cancel the whole order as I have no intention of giving this sort of company any of my money.

Edit: I canceled the order but had to go into store to do this but then after going in store I was also told to then call up to process the refund (always many hoops to jump through). also because I'd brought the pillows in store their t&C's mean you cant return them even if they are unopened still sealed so I had to pay £220 from my order for two pillows. Wonderful.

Ishry was receptive and patient throughout the length of time that we are they. I wasn't clear of my choices before coming but he made it easy for me to narrow down.
