I did not receive an answer to my question and my case was closed. The same question, I received cold brew beans as opposed to espresso. Is there a reason that I received cold brew beans?

Customer Service is a painful process
Customer Service is a painful process. I ordered 4 different bags of espresso ground coffee through Beanz. I at the time didn't have a grinder so on order form selected espresso ground. Three of the roasters sent correctly the fourth sent a bag of whole beans. Obviously without a grinder it does me no good. I put in a service ticket through the proper channel. Got the message someone will reach out within two days. After 4-5 days and not a word I decided to call. I spoke with an agent who said they can't help with coffee that is ground but will send an email to the proper team and they'll reach out shortly. Several more days go by and no word. After a couple of weeks out of frustration, I did a review on Instagram, and someone immediately reached out and resolved. But that's what it took. When everything goes right shipments are really fast, the prices are good and the coffee is fresh. If things go wrong though it can be painful. At least it was for me. I did place another order after the Instagram person resolved and again shipment was fast and coffee was great. It works well as long as you don't have to deal with customer service. At least that was the experience I had.

Great coffee, but in the dark on when it will be delivered
Following my purchase of a Sage coffee machine, I decided to enable the Beanz promotion. My two free bags of coffee came quickly and was a great service. So I was very happy to enable the subscription promotion. I selected two bags every two weeks from the Small Batch Coffee Roasters. I ordered on 09 Feb and got a confirmation email. It then took until 12 Feb to get an email to confirm my order was with the roaster. Then nothing until I chased up on 16 Feb via Beanz support, and coincidentally received the two bags via Royal Mail.
I was not aware that it would take a week to get the coffee. Based on my experience with the two free bags, I would have expected the order to have arrived in the same week and maybe even on 11 Feb. I appreciate that working with so many different suppliers is complicated, but customers need to have their expectations managed - especially when we are all very used to next-day and even same-day deliveries now.

I received coffee beans that were not roasted on or after the date I placed my order. I wrote to Beanz and they offered to replace them free of charge. That's great service! I look forward to receiving my replacement coffee beans soon.
