Delivered on time and as described. Worked perfectly.

Bought a number plate frame on eBay very slow to dispatch and once received didn’t look like anything to listing completely different apparently they said it’s a “different version” which I took with a pinch of salt so I asked for a return so they sent me a label which I had to print out when they said I didn’t need to and weren’t gonna cover the cost of it then when it was delivered they said it was damaged and accessories were missing luckily I took pictures before I posted it so eBay ruled in my favour and got full refund then the audacity to call me rude and dismissive even when the listing wasn’t as described. Save your money as it’s over priced and all comes from china anyway

Reply to ATD : Thanks for reply once again you said minor changes to design if you put the plate in the frame it covers the trading name of plate which is not legal anyway, this is why I purchased the supposed to be “old design” and also for the return label I should have done it through eBay as they would have given me an QR code to scan so no printing is required I know why you did it because then you will have to get eBay involved and don’t want that. But unfortunately that just made it worse for you I was not rude I just don’t like people who take advantage of me and also for your team that’s very helpful I also tried calling you guys, just say I’m surprised your in business still holding music for ages and even then when they picked up “oh sorry nothing to do with us” so yes very helpful indeed, and also the packaging situation I sent it back to you in its “ORIGINAL PACKAGING” which seems to keep going over your head and you still haven’t sent me proof of damage yet so you are lying through your teeth.

J’ai commandé chez AudioTechDirect depuis la France pour £214.96. La facture initiale indiquait explicitement que le total incluait 20% de VAT, soit £35.84.

À l’arrivée du colis en France, La Poste m’a demandé de payer à nouveau la TVA à l’importation, ainsi que les frais de douane/gestion. Résultat : j’ai payé la TVA une première fois selon la facture du vendeur, puis une deuxième fois à l’importation pour recevoir mon colis.

Quand j’ai contacté AudioTechDirect, ils ont affirmé qu’aucune VAT UK ne m’avait été facturée, malgré leur propre facture indiquant le contraire. Après contestation, ils m’ont simplement envoyé une nouvelle facture “corrigée” à 0% VAT, avec exactement le même total, en disant que la première facture était une erreur de leur système !

L’étiquette douanière CN22 sur le colis montre pourtant que les articles ont été déclarés à leur valeur hors VAT : les montants correspondent exactement aux prix divisés par 1,20. Donc les prix semblent bien avoir été traités comme des prix incluant la VAT, puis déclarés hors VAT à la douane.

Pour un client étranger, c’est très problématique : vous risquez de payer un prix présenté comme incluant la VAT, puis de devoir payer encore la TVA à l’importation dans votre pays.

Je déconseille fortement AudioTechDirect aux clients hors Royaume-Uni, sauf si vous êtes prêt à payer potentiellement la TVA deux fois !

Je ne conteste pas la TVA française à l’importation. Je comprends parfaitement que la TVA d’importation et les frais de gestion soient dus lorsqu’un colis arrive du Royaume-Uni vers l’Union européenne.

Le problème vient de l’incohérence entre leurs propres documents.

La facture initiale que j’ai reçue d’AudioTechDirect indiquait clairement que le total incluait 20% de VAT, avec un montant précis de £35.84. Ce n’était pas simplement un champ TVA vague ou vide : la facture affichait explicitement un montant de TVA inclus dans le total.

Ce n’est qu’après ma contestation qu’AudioTechDirect m’a envoyé une facture “corrigée” à 0% VAT, avec exactement le même total.

Ils affirment aussi que la déclaration douanière CN22 confirme que les marchandises ont été exportées à leur valeur nette. Mais c’est justement là que se trouve le problème : les valeurs indiquées sur le CN22 correspondent exactement aux prix des articles divisés par 1,20.

Exemples :

* £84.99 devient £70.82
* £99.99 devient £83.32
* £5.99 devient £4.99

Cela montre que les prix ont bien été traités comme des prix incluant 20% de VAT, puis réduits en valeurs hors taxe pour la déclaration douanière.

Si ma commande avait réellement été vendue à 0% VAT, sans aucune TVA incluse, alors la valeur nette export des articles aurait dû correspondre aux prix que j’ai payés, et non aux prix divisés par 1,20.

C’est pour cette raison que je maintiens que la situation n’est pas transparente pour les clients internationaux. J’ai payé un prix d’abord documenté comme incluant la VAT, puis j’ai dû payer la TVA française à l’importation, et seulement après contestation la facture a été modifiée à 0% VAT, avec le même total.

AudioTechDirect peut présenter cela comme une position comptable interne, mais du point de vue du client, c’est extrêmement trompeur.

PS: Je n'ai étrangement recu aucune réponse de votre part quand je vous envoyé la photo du CN22 montrant votre totale incohérence...

They are deceptive in their marketing, making you think that you can order seamlessly from them if you're in the EU - but then when your order is held up in Customs, they throw up their hands and say they can do nothing.

very pleased with the team at ATD today. Me and my sister turned up out of the blue around midday. We were looking for a new applecar-play infotainment system, a reversing camera and a relatively inexpensive dashcam. All for my sisters Mk5 VW polo. After a chat with one of their technicians we decided on everything we wanted and went to book it in. They amazingly got us in that very minute and just 3 hours later the car was complete. everything works as expected and is so easy to use. She is over the moon with all the new features of her car. Stops her from spending thousands on a new car. We would highly recommend ATD to everyone.

Amazing help from these guys. I have a mk6 Fiesta with a bizarre setup that needed a loom to convert to Android/Linux head unit and Sarah got me sorted easily over email with a few photos of the car and stereo loom. Just waiting delivery now. Very excited to have my old car brought into the 21st century

Had upgrade. 2011. Range Rover 2011. Face lift . And hard wired dash cam. Stereo is now wireless .Apple car play. Loads of apps world radio app. Waited while they fitted. Excellent workmanship. Very friendly knowledgeable people. Stereo is light years ahead. Of landrover original.Highly recommend. Also competitive price.

Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be using them again. The technical knowledge was outstanding, I had two enquiries to which other companies either didn't list for or said nothing could be done. Audio Tech Direct got both cars audio units upgraded with CarPlay. I got recommended them from a forum and I am so pleased I got in touch.

Absolutely brilliant experience with Stuart and the team. From the start, communication was excellent and they were very professional, helpful, and easy to deal with.

I purchased a sat nav and reverse camera for my BMW E90, and the quality of the products is genuinely premium. Everything works perfectly. What really stood out was the support. Item not delivered and they think it's acceptable to say it's on a collection shelf at the Royal Mail delivery office. And expect me to travel miles away to get it when there's no actual proof it's there.

Reply below on 29th December and didn't bother replying until I chased them today. Suggesting I use my time to phone or go 3 miles to chase a parcel is ridiculous.

No wonder they have plenty of bad reviews.

The last scan was on December 19th from WOLVERHAMPTON DO (delivery office) where they put it out for delivery. Is it possible for you to call into that delivery office or give them a call? It has most likely been put on their collection shelf.
