I have been renting vehicles through Around About Cars for sometime now and have never come across any issues. They have a very good sufficient team. Always know what I need when I send a request. No doubt I can say they are the best in the country currently.

Renting from Aroundaboutcars was an anwesome experience!! We found our car choice online, made the request, and had a quick response. Staff were very responsive answering our questions. Staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome! Our airport pick up was quick and we had no issues on our trip with our vehicle. Dropping off the car was also quick and easy, no issues at all. Would highly recommend using this company!

I have used Aroundaboutcars a few times in South Africa , and I have experienced very competent, friendly and excellent service from them. The cars were in good shape , and I had 2 road issues ( damaged tyre) which were fixed to my full satisfaction. Communication is excellent, and they strive to serve the customers well. I have only positive interaction with them, and I fully recommend them.

Paid a deposit of 160€ in rand and I physically put the money in for them to take, brought car back perfect and another €57 was taken. Contacted them and they said the money was released and due to it being a hold it was never taken. Well it was because I put in €160 and then it was gone and never showed up in my account as I didn’t use my account for 2 weeks while on holiday and didn’t use it when back we have a seperate account. Ye have people fooled and ye are very cleaver . Ye know that a hold of a certain amount won’t be declared or visible On a bank statement and that’s how ye get away with it. I didn’t receive any of them money back that ye took. Fraud!!! Ye have found a loophole as have all other companies in this trade, fraud. I wouldn’t mind I was very careful and did my homework and ye didn’t even say the car was marked or damaged ye just kept the deposit. Shame on ye and all the money we spent in yer country. Would turn you off visiting this country!

Now I have received unfair customer service and asked to provide bank statements see below. There is no deflections at all; it’s not up to me to provide evidence it’s up to ye to send an email from the bank stating the hold was released; this ye could not do. I have not received €160 back to my account as available balance after I put int he money, therefore I am down €160. All people need to do is go look at reviews of Avis who is your affiliated company and the exact same thing is happening all across the world. But of course we’re wrong. Well done!!!

We stay in Cape Town for one year and we rent our cars with Around About Cars. The Service is excellence and we really can recommend it!

Great service from Aroundabout Cars in Capetown and Plettenberg Bay. We booked from UK on the recommendation of a local and all the staff were faultlessly helpful online, despite my messing them around. We’re 5 adventurous girls who embarked on a 3 week road trip round Western Cape. Hopeless with paperwork, but AroundAbout Cars staff could not have been more helpful. Even after we almost backed over the edge at the Table Mountain car park and decided we needed a fresh clutch…… They arranged an appointment in the city and a brand new Toyota minivan was produced. I can’t remember our mileage but we ended up in Plett where we dropped the vehicle, no probs. It was helpful to have a big organisation like Europcar behind them: easy to spot! I’m hiring another vehicle there next week and I see they’re now backed up by Avis. Again, that gives you confidence…..

I hired a car when I arrived at Port Elizabeth airport and understandably was told I had to pay a deposit which was fine, it worked out at £137. Upon dropping the car off in great condition and after having filled up the tank I have since noticed that I only received £56 of the deposit back which is very underhand especially as there has been no communication about why this is the case. I would not recommend this car rental company to anyone, avoid at all costs!

This is an agent that masquerades as a car rental company. They work with Europcar, which is an extremely extortionate company, while defending their actions. When Europcar's subsidiary company Tempest stole money a good 10 days after my rental was over (7000+ Sri Lankan rupees, which also induced a 200 rupee stamp duty charge), I confronted these unscrupulous people as I had rented my car with them - and they proceeded to block my email address! Additionally, they commented on 'my background', implying prejudice. Yes, I'm a proud Indian-Sri Lankan girl who hails from a part of the world where we always raise our politically incorrect voices especially when we're being hoodwinked - and it's not my problem that around about cars has a problem with that! They also managed to remove my negative review on Hello Peter earlier today, instead of having the courage and decency to respond! Ironically, they are strangely reviewed very positively on Google - but poorly everywhere else. If you take a closer look at most of their positive reviews on Google, they are fake, as they provide completely inaccurate information! One reviewer mentioned how great they were for accompanying him to the petrol station after the rental was over. How is that possible, when you are only meant to liaise with Europcar after the voucher has been issued? On top of that, most of the positive reviews are written by 'local guides' that provide extremely vague information, making them a good target for untrue and commissioned reviews. It is possible that this unethical car rental company will try to take this review down too. I hope they don't succeed. And if they do - good luck to whoever sees this until then!

Nous avions réservé une voiture auprès de aroundaboutcars à Capetown. Nous avons malheureusement été victime d'un vol de carte de crédit entretemps.
Normalement, le loueur et chauffeur doivent être la MEME personne, mon mari n'ayant plus de carte ET étant la personne qui conduisait,nous étions dans une très mauvaise situation,ne pouvant plus louer de voiture.
Heureusement ,cette société nous à trouvé une solution,nous avons eu pour un très bas prix une voiture avec km illimité et ils nous ont même déposer à l'aéroport pour notre retour.
Une équipe super,serviable,sérieuse
