I recently completed the home-buying process with Archway, and I want to express my gratitude to Holly, the Head of Sales. Holly's expertise and guidance made the journey smooth and enjoyable. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly commendable. I am delighted with my new home and thankful for the exceptional service provided by Holly and the Archway team. Highly recommend!
I look forward to experiencing the build quality firsthand once I start living in my new home. Only time will reveal the true essence, and I'm optimistic about enjoying a comfortable and well-constructed living space.

We have lived in our home for 4 years so I feel we are able to give a fair reflection of our experience. Despite Archway marketing themselves as a quality builder, our home has not lived up to the promises they made.

We had issues with locking the front door not long after moving in. Archway did come out to change the lock but some time after this (outside the two year guarantee) the locking mechanism snapped and we had to call and pay for an emergency locksmith to gain entry to the house.

Our pipes bang intermittently, a gas engineer advised us that the boiler pump is faulty but that we could claim on the warranty as Worcester boilers have a 5 year warranty. When we checked, the warranty for the boiler expired 2 years after we moved in. We asked Archway for an explanation and didn’t get one. We can only assume the boiler they fitted wasn’t new.

Our smoke alarms kept going off on a weekly basis. We paid an electrician to replace them all and had no further issues so clearly the alarms themselves were faulty.

Our paving slabs have all dropped and are causing a trip hazard. The post next to the back gate has also dropped so we are unable to shut the back gate.

An electric radiator that was fitted no longer works so we are unable to heat the room.

The drain pipe on the garage was fitted incorrectly and came away at the top causing damp on the garage wall. This is after an attempt by Archway to refit it.

The above issues are in addition to more minor issues such as our outside tap having a faulty part, the letterbox draft excluders falling off, the carpets being fitted poorly and doorframes moving leaving us unable to shut certain doors etc.

We have contacted Archway to explain how disappointed we were and eventually received a short reply advising us that “Having now been in your home for 4 years I am afraid that we would not consider any of these to be defects that we would be liable for.” There was no attempt to apologise or explain why we have had so many problems. While you expect issues to crop up here and there, we have had a significant number of issues in a very short space of time and most of these stem from poor workmanship/ quality. I can only say that based on our experience, I would not recommend Archway to anyone.

Moved into a new Archway home 2 1/2 years ago. We did years of research across builders and Archway were head and shoulders above the rest. With most new builds the price of ‘extras’ was extortionate with Archway they came with the build. From start to finish Archway were brilliant, from Sales to Customer Service, queries were answered quickly and effectively. No leasehold and no estate maintenance charges! Thank you Archway we love our home.

I came on here to leave a review after moving into our lovely new home which we're delighted with and noticed some poor ratings. Having read some of the reviews I can see that these relate more to planning issues than the quality of the build. For those people looking for reviews of Archway as a builder of quality homes I can only point out that the standard of the build is excellent, much higher than you get from a national builder, and all interactions with the company have been really good.

I felt it was important to leave a review regarding Archway Homes next housing development in Malpas. I know Archway Homes are just trying to run a business but surely there needs to be a balance between houses and open green spaces. This situation is unfair because you were made aware of our project early on. Archway Homes can still do the right thing and allow the Malpas community to complete their open green space/ play park for the children.

I’m sure you can understand why the Malpas community has to strongly oppose your planning application. This is a disappointing situation. Hopefully, you will do the right thing and not crush the children's community project. (Queens Garden)

We've just moved into our new Archway home. We are absolutely thrilled to bits with the house. The quality of everything has far exceeded our expectations. The choices for kitchens, bathrooms etc were outstanding and we are so pleased with the result. Many thanks to Sam for her patience and help throughout the whole process and also to the builders who built our dream home.
