Placed an order for shoes and paid extra for express delivery (£5.99). As there was a bank holiday I waited for delivery today, to be told "your delivery had been delayed " I called them and asked when it would be delivered to be told 3-5 days, on a package I paid extra to have next day.
They refused to contact evri, then changed timescale three times in the same conversation. They have therefore breached the contract they hold with me through non delivery and failure to provide alternative delivery information.

next day delivery, arrived next day. product as described. good value. no issues.

So easy to make a payment. Good system to use. Good company to deal with

I keep on having issues with Ambrose Wilson. This time they sent me a code to use to get a discount. It didn't work so I emailed them. They had my email obviously, and my name, but instead of replying with the code, this is what they sent (below) , as if they needed all this information to confirm I was genuine as I had replied to them using their original email. All I wanted was for them to send me the code they had already sent me. This put me off replying and buying from them again.

Ordered a carpet washer when I got it the seal had been broken the box was damaged it looked like it been used before the customer service people where rude not very help full at all the customer service people shouted at me and rude

A fake account was created in my name and now I’m having problems with my credit scores. Be very careful!

Great customer service

Tried to order something from Ambrose Wilson. Gòogled for a specific item and Ambrose Wilson popped up as a stockist. (With photos of said item.) First, you have to sign up for all cookies. Ok, did that. Then - before you can order - they want your name, address (ok, borderline reasonable even if you havent yet placed an order) - but then DoB, (how is that any of their business?) phone number, email addresses... then the ordering process... seems Ambrose Wilson isn't really a stockist of this item at all. How do I know this? Because I had to go through the laborious process of filling in the details only to be asked what brand it was... Took me several goes before I realised that they weren't just out of stock - they've never even heard of this well-known brand despite the photos of said item...
And you have to pay through the nose if you want customer service.
So now my inbox is going to be plagued with marketing emails from them.

Someone opened a credit account in my name. This company is A SCAM AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They do nothing to help they waste time

No customer support, failed to reply to emails. Seriously fraudulent company.

So easy to make payments, just answer some questions and boom payment made without all the palava.

I am disgusted with Ambrose and I have been with them a long time and love their clothes but if anything goes wrong they are absolutely useless. I have sent them two e.mails telling them my delivery has not arrived they tell me to contact Evri…..don’t make me laugh they are as bad. My contract is with you Ambrose not Evri. Find my stuff please and answer me properly please.

Very disappointed, site allowed me to order 3 items which I really looked forward to receiving, I then received an email saying my order had been cancelled as they had no stock.
Will cancel account and not shop again

Somebody had previously tried to set up a fake account in my name with J D Williams (part of the same group) which I have had to resolve but now another account has been set up for my address but with the incorrect name. Ambrose Wilson have told me that they use the electoral roll and credit agencies to verify your identification before setting up the account but how could they do this if the name was incorrect? I've contacted their 'customer service' several times but just get the same response. The only good thing they did was they didn't actually process any orders because they realised something was suspicious.
