the engineer ian reeves who fitted the widows at hurley on wednesday was a very friendly polite person and i would highly recomend his work and the company

Should have been having windows fitted today, but Tom and Doug worked super hard to get 10 windows and 3 doors fitted in two days rather than the predicted three. The house is much quieter now. A great product fitted by professionals. Thanks

I found Amber unfailing responsive and courteous in all my dealings with them. Quotes were prompt and dates were booked in.
The problem came with the installation, which is kinda the key bit. Booked as a two day job, they managed to install five windows and two doors in one day and didn't return - presumably off to the next job.
Unfortunately, the window installation was incomplete, with large voids left around the frame - no filler or sealant applied. The front door had a bowed frame and the installation had detached the original door frame from the wall, leaving a large gap between frame and plaster. There were drafts around the door and it didn't close smoothly.
Back door was installed with hazy glass instead of clear glass.
Rather than picking up what should have been fairly obvious defects in installation and remedying them on the day, or on the second day they had booked, I had to call them back to tell them about the quality of the installation, and await a date for an engineer to come out and spend the day correcting these issues.

Now the windows and doors look fine and the door frame has been fixed. I have to say the quality of the installation doesn't fill me with an enormous amount of hope for the durability of things, so I'm glad there is an insurance backed guarantee.

So we got there in the end, but you will have to carefully inspect the quality of any installation work that is done - sadly they don't seem to do that themselves - and I rather hoped that, as professionals, they would have been the ones to spot and correct the problem, rather than me, as the amateur home owner.

Had a guy called Ian to fit our lounge bay window, well he arrived early sitting outside or property this morning eagerly waiting to fit our job in, i rushed off to work leaving other half at the house, Ian you deserve a medal putting up with him all day while you trying to do your job i can only apologise ,he loves to talk, my window looks absolutely amazing and you cleaned up after,no hicups no ripped wallpaper,the new window ledge looks well fab i am so so happy thank you so much defo recomend you excellent workmanship 2 happy customers

You keep knocking my door I have told your guys already to stop and this happens every time my neighbours get work done.

I do not need your improvements, and due to the constant knocking on my door, I never will.

Replying back to the response for my review on 17th January 2026, we have called several times regarding this issue.
3/4 fitters have been out to measure to bow shape in the door. All have said it is shaped like a banana and needs replacing but the final decision is with head office. Head office keeps stating that the supplier won’t change it. There is also a discoloured section in the door frame that looks like the frame was cut too short and bodged in with a different coloured piece. This was promised to be sorted but we are still waiting. Now when people say that they love the look of our windows, Ambers Windows is not recommended to them as the aftercare is appalling. It is now March 2026 and Amber Windows have only just responded to the review.

My nabour is currently using amber windows, as I returned from work i asked how long before I could park in my area, I was shocked at the roude response so I asked them to move there van, they did but before I parked up I looked at the mess and I found several screws so I asked if there were aware of this, my feelings was they did not give a shit, they spoken to me terribly and made out it was my fault, it was that bad ive saved the motions on my camera and had to check my car for damages.
I did ring the so called company at 4pm and apparently was closed.

My front doir( still under guarantee, two months old) wouldn’t close. Contacted Amber quite a few times..no reply… had to get a chap in to bend the door as it was dangetous to leave it open! Obviously!! Amber won’t repay me as it happened out of their working hours!!!!
So.. under guarantee, can’t close FRINT door… oh sorry, broke out of working hours!!!.. AVIOD!

From initial contact,Amber surveyor sales man was straight forward with our quote. The order process was quick and installation date was agreed in an equally swift time. The installation team, Malachi and James were hard working, polite and very professional. Really pleased with the quality of the product, whole house installation windows and doors. A really great service that I would recommend to friends and family. Thank you Amber, Brendan and the team.

Julian and Steve came and fitted my new double glazing ,I can’t recommend them enough they did a fantastic job nothing was too much trouble .Im very pleased with the service and would also recommend amber windows .

Had windows replaced at front of bungalow looked good but they did not seat around corners at bottom which let in water and the sealer inside started to peel off. They sealed the outside but left the inside. We then had windows and doors fitted at rear, one window did not fit and another had a chunk missing out of frame. They just want to bog up the non fitting window with expanding foam with I refused so they agreed to replace window. The one with damaged frame they refuse to do anything with saying it will be ok and just covered it with a bit of trim. All looked good when finally done but a bit off putting waiting for remedial work to be done.

Julian and Steve arrived on time and worked hard to fit my new front door. They were extremely efficient and friendly, and didn't leave any mess. I m delighted with my door and would recommend Amber without question!
