Quality at a reasonable cost. We made a snap decision on Monday to have our front garden landscaped (we’d been thinking about it for a while). Finished by Thursday. 1st pave wise had completed a neighbours driveway the week before which was looking great. In discussion with James (boss man) we did change our plans along the way but definitely for the better. We now have a lovely paved front garden with 2 large beds for planting, it is now a much more level and creates a lovely entrance to the property. All done in 2 days!! Amazing. We felt the price was fair and affordable. Would definitely recommend 1st Pavewise

We recently had block paving completed at our home, and we’re extremely pleased with the results. The workmanship is excellent, with great attention to detail throughout. The team especially James and Jim was professional, punctual, and kept everything clean and tidy during the process.

The finished driveway looks fantastic and has really improved the overall appearance of our property. The paving is level, well-structured, and clearly built to last. They also took the time to ensure proper drainage, which gives us added confidence in the quality of the work.

Communication was clear from start to finish, and everything was completed on time as agreed. We would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for high-quality block paving work

I just got my pavement done by Jim and his boys and I will have to admit they are incredibly good at their job and very professional, he sorted me out for a good price and got the job earlier then I had expected in just 2 days!! I would definitely recommend reaching out to them because they have a unique style and their designs for the pavements are just are unique and beautiful . Very understandable and quick and reasonable price I was very happy with the outcome gave my house a whole new look .

Jim, his son and their workers used machinery to fill in my pond and remove bushes/trees. They put up fencing and a gate where Leylandii had been and fixed a drainage problem. They prepared the driveway and brought in a specialist to lay paving, a skilled job which took less than one day. They finished the whole big job in four days.

My wife was very pleased and posted photos of our new driveway on Facebook: they received many complimentary comments.

Two weeks later, another builder accidentally demolished part of my fence with his lorry. (He was nothing to do with 1st Pavewise.) That builder repaired the fence, much more slowly than the professionals. This involved taking up some of the paving bricks. Jim saw the damage to his achievement and kindly offered to ensure that the block paving bricks were replaced properly.

The overall experience and price was great , I didn't have to worry about anything. The guy explained what he was going to do from start to finish. I did my research as well before hand to ensure that I understood what was going to undertaken. The work started on a friday and was completed on the Sunday. It was super fast, they were friendly and hard working. I was home to oversee what was being done and they didn't disappoint. I would recommend them ,its now 11 months and its still looks like brand new , my cars are parked everyday on the block paving and no signs of sinking. When it rains the water runs off as well.

We engaged with them after seeing how they had worked on a neighbouring drive. After having a long, in-depth and professional conversation, I was given a very favourable quote in comparison to two other quotes I had received doing the same work. Due to my own personal circumstances I could not proceed straight away and requested them to contact me in a few weeks which they kindly did. At no point did they contact me in between ;but when it was the requested time they did - to which I was unable to go ahead straight away and again deferred for another few week.

Again I was not harassed at any time.

When I was ready to go ahead, they fitted it in within my time frame, to which I was grateful . Once they started, they then found some extremely deep tree roots to which they HAND dug out - this was another extra days work to which I was not charged for .

I can also assure they put the proper foundations, as well as membranes etc etc that all meet the legal requirements.

Several cars park on this drive and the drive looks the same as it did when it was first completed a few years ago.

We are extremely happy with the job and would happily work with them in the future.

That review is definitely not a reflection of the work and character of these workers that I received.

Jim and his workers were very professional throughout the whole project. After getting a few quotes I decided to go with First Pave Wise. The price was reasonable and the approach was professional and honest. The work was completed to a very high standard. I am very pleased wirth my block paved driveway. Thank you

Be careful before proceeding. Cannot answer simple questions that any contractor should be able to but do to make customers feel at ease. I work in the trade and due to my schedule had my wife liaise with them with me on the phone and advising what questions to ask. They were pushy and after obtaining an estimate from them, we asked further questions because what they were doing did not make for a solid foundation, especially those to be in line with legislation for driveway renewals and for strong foundations for longevity.
However, the text message we received when these simple questions were asked I straight away knew we were not to trust them. He could not answer, did not answer the question and became defence and rude. We were told he already answered our question (he did not) and he doesn’t care whether we go ahead with the job. I think the fella thought he was messaging my wife and not another man. He was extremely and unnecessarily unprofessional &rude. To further continually call the phone after getting no answer - that we blocked the number only for a few days later him to turn up at our home, on Mothering Sunday while we were out celebrating with our family, and continue to knock and ring our door. Our cameras and neighbours picked it all up and he even waved at the camera.
To AGAIN return the next day knocking and ringing again. We unblocked his number and told him not to return or contact us again and to delete all our details as per GDPR and Data Protection Act 1998. He claims he needed the piece of paper with our address and his estimate on it! That was long thrown in the bin when I returned home the day he was so rude to my wife.
Cowboys who do not want to answer standard questions and then try to harass you afterwards. Do your research and think before proceeding. For what they are doing the price is much to high and will cost you in the long run.
Our poor neighbours driveways which they already did- after looking at the work - we’re very happy we did not proceed with them.

Should they return or try to contact us- we will be contacting the police. Those tactics are not moral and harassment is not legal.
What professional company behaves in such manner.
Be careful. Choose someone else.

This company are the best and did an amazing job on my problematic concrete driveway making it not only look beautiful but much more spacious and great value for money. They were hard working and didn’t take long breaks getting the job done within the time frame advised, going above and beyond to get the right look for what I wanted. They actually exceeded my expectations
