Honeywell Evohome smart heating…

I had a Honeywell Evohome smart heating system installed so that we could heat different parts of the house at different times.

In the first year, 2 TRVs failed and were replaced under guarantee. Another stopped working but I was slow to work out that it wasn't working because of its location so didn't report it.

A couple of months out of warranty, one of the replacement TRVs failed again. This seems to be a really high fail rate and will be costly if it continues. The original system and both replacements were ordered direct from Honeywell by the supplier so have not been stored inappropriately unless by Honeywell.

Resideo, who are the technical support team, replied to me to say that problems are due to storage or installation environment without any help to identify or address what they might be.

Honeywell just redirected me back to Resideo. Complete waste of money. I will be replacing with my old thermostat and TRVs

Marks electricals delivery service

Bought an American fridge freezer from Marks electricals before christmas 2021.We love the item in question but its the service i want to write about. The two men who delivered it went well out of their way in order to complete their task. I found they were so helpful and determined in overcoming several problems facing them. Gives you a bit more confidence when ordering from a company with such dedicated workers. thank you gents

Be very careful with Capital Life

I took out a funeral plan with Capital Life in August for my mother she was 90
Capital Life took £3,595 from me
I had chosen to take out a funeral plan so things would be easy and I wouldn’t have to stress or worry about anything.
WRONG! They were dreadful and I ended up with my mother dead in my living room for around 10 hours!
I had to cancel my policy and for that they are charging a convenient £595!
Please do not use this company they don’t give a dam about anything except money

I have been using virgin media for a…

I have been using virgin media for a few years and I have not had a very good experience with them I am now switching to Bt. Virgin media is disconnecting 3 or more time a day we don't get anywhere near the speed were supposed to get we have been contacting them consistently they keep saying there is a problem in the area and it will be fixed. It's been going on for a least 4 years and if anything the problems have got worse. It is so frustrating because every time you contact them they do the same thing they run the same tests, you explain to them that these tests have been done multiple time but they say we have to run the tests problem being they never resolve the problem. We have requested to terminate our contract on numerous occasions because we are not getting the service we are paying for but they keep saying we need to pay a cancellation fee why should you have to pay a cancellation fee if the service you are paying for is not working properly. Before you sign any contract be sure to read the small print because if you have intermittent problems with your service you cannot get out of your contract unless your service has not been working for a long period of time im talking days they put every obstacle in your way to stop you from leaving so please read the term of cancellation if your not happy with the service you are getting

Sycamore house dental, Bury St Edmunds

Made an appointment for checkup as a new client. Paid £52 upfront as per their policy.
Couldn't attend appointment as I was in A&E eith my husband who lacks capacity.
I emailed twice and called once to let them know I couldn't make my appointment. I got no replies to my emails and could not leave a message as no answer machine.
When I finally got home after 36hrs without sleep I called to reschedule only to be told I would have to pay again! I broke down and couldn't barely speak. Receptionist told me to hang up, gather myself and call back so she could take payment....
After a month of emails back and forth ( I simply wanted a refund) the partner told me he didn't want to keep my fee so rather than refund me he 'donated' it to a local charity....!!!
I could go on but I would consider other dental practices ove Sycamore House, Bury St Edmunds

It was the first time I went to the Ivy…

It was the first time I went to the Ivy Edinburgh,
Was meeting a friend after 2 years
Food was lovely only had starter and dessert it was very nice .
The table was booked for 5.30pm at 6.40pm after placing my desert order the waiter said he need the table back at 7pm felt a little rushed to eat my dessert this was a little let down.

TalkTalk customer service is utterly hopeless

TalkTalk is my internet provider. Since taking out a contract for fiber plus broadband in May 2021 I have not had internet upstairs. It only works on the ground floor. I reported the problem on the 5/12/2021 through chat. After an hour’s chat I was advised that their checks showed all was fine including the speed so there was nothing they could do. I bought a booster but the problem persisted. I contacted them again via chat on the 5/01/2022 reporting the same problem, not receiving the service I’ve been paying for. I spent an hour and 30 minutes answering questions and TalkTalk doing their usual checks. They advised all was great! I asked whether the router was not powerful enough to send signals upstairs. I was advised I needed a Wi-Fi extender and to wait to be connected to the technical dept. The advisor from this department advised I needed to speak to the sales department and to hold on to be connected. I waited on the chat for 15 minutes but no connection. So I sent another message via the same chat and got onto a new advisor who started the same procedure as the first one. Same security questions, same checks etc despite having asked him to read the chat I had with his colleague to get the essence of the story. He asked me to wait to be connected to the sales department. This is now 2.5 hours chatting continuously with TalkTalk. So I gave up and felt so angry I called their complains department. The phone line was cutting off throughout the 30 minutes conversation so it was difficult to hear what he was saying. He finally offered me a Wi-Fi Hub if I paid £30. By this stage I was worn out, frustrated and disillusioned and agreed. At least I was left with hope the issue would be resolved. 3 whole, continuous hours surely is absurd! I could have done a science degree! So TalkTalk customer service is utterly hopeless.

I truly am sad to write this review given the problems so many of us are faciing.

Trying to deal with a problem I asked the
young man would he mind wearing a mask and
explained his wearing a mask would further
protect me. I also explained that a young friend and a surgeon here in Uk died one week ago from COVID after suffering for 50 days in ICU. He fetched the manager who was also without a mask. My friend who was with me pointed out ALL the staff were without masks except one young woman, who wore her mask below her mouth. I find this attitude shocking and indifferent to others. I am a surgeon and know much more than these young people who seem indifferent about others.

Vodafone reneged on new deal twice

Vodafone have behaved in a totally disgraceful way.
They have twice and confirmed by text a discount for a new iPhone 13 and totally reneged on the deal. I have left Vodafone because of this after 43 years never having missed a payment. Disgusting behaviour.

So happy with Tapi

So happy with Tapi, they laid my hall carpet, a lovely peacock shade which compliments the burgundy they fitted in my lounge perfectly, lovely friendly guys and very reasonable price for top quality carpet. I shall certainly go back to Tapi when I have my bedroom carpet done next year. Thanks Tapi!

Be careful with failed deliveries from Sweaty Betty

I have tried three times to obtain a delivery from Sweaty Betty and each time they say they will redeliver and yet I never received the goods. The answers are generated by bots and so it is impossible to reason with them. They take your money day one and no end of emails ensue without either a delivery or monies returned

Kia acorn motors Burntwood

Hi, I recently purchased a kia sportage from acorn motors Burntwood staffs , the car is fantastic and I would recommend anyone purchasing one ,but not from acorn motors Burntwood. We introduced another person to the kia range that acorn sell which resulted in a sale, a gratis was promised to customers who do this, 150 pound , this was over three months now and despite calls to acorn kia no money has been payed to us , we have even had abusive returned calls to us from acorn motors Burntwood, this is hard to believe but true. Despite assurances from the management at acorn motors Burntwood that this would be resolved nothing has happened, I would hate to think someone is thinking of introducing somebody on the promise of a gratis which will not arrive from acorn motors Burntwood, its sad to think kia put there faith in acorn motors Burntwood and there faithful customers are treated in this way. I gave 1 stàr for acorn kia Burntwood but can say kia as a vehicle is top marks and worth purchasing from Stafford or elsewhere.

Dubious text charging for booking a table

The lunch for four was reasonable. The restaurant was not busy and the service was acceptable (although the bread ordered with the first courses arrived way after we had all finished our first course) but the reason for writing this review is as follows: the White Hart has coupled up with OpenTable.com to, and I quote, "manage our bookings in the restaurant". This, in itself, is not the issue. The issue is that once I had booked the table for four by phone I then received, a few days later, a text asking me to confirm the booking at the restaurant by pressing 1 or cancelling the booking by pressing 0. Naturally, as the text mentioned the White Hart restaurant and knew the time and date of the booking, I pressed 1 and sent the text back confirming the booking. I was then made aware by EE (my phone company) that this text had incurred a 15p charge plus a service charge (whatever that is). I mentioned this to the manager and he said he had no idea this charge was being levied and that he was grateful for being made aware of this sharp practice. No apology for giving my mobile number to a third party without my permission thereby breaking data protection regulations. No ackowledgment that this is clearly a racket to make money at the expense of unsuspecting customers. Such a shame that a decent restaurant has involved itself with this sort of arrangement. Really not keen to fall for this again and would suggest to people that they do not allow the White Hart to give your contact details to a third party company out to make a fast buck. I can't help wondering why a reputable establishment like the White Hart is doing this and supposedly not knowing what is going on. A bit of a let down, in truth.

6 Star service !

Hi, just wanted to say I called green flag on a Sunday evening, spoke to a lovely helpful gentleman who said I would get a text within 10 mins to give an eta. I had the text to say would be 30 mins, got a call to say he was here after just 20 mins. He was so helpful and polite his name was R22-Marcelo! And my car was fixed within 5 mins! Amazing service! Would give 6 stars if I could. Thank you Green Flag! …….

samsung customer service

samsung customer service has to be one of the worst big companys for basic information why they are so bad is beyond me we bought a 700 pound washer dryer and upon switching it on it was in demo mode and dispite trying alot of things and looking in the manuel we eventual tried customer service but there only interest was do you have an account and are you going to make an account what this has to do with a piece of basic info how do you get it out of demo mode is truely remarkable they are more intersted in your personnel info rather than help you the machine was that new i had not even registered it so i tried the uk email for help nothing just stone wall no reply what so ever .so when my samsung products stop working so will my commitment to buy any more samsung products get your act together we are in the 21st century there is no reason what so ever for such bad practice from this company

Different people at CS give different information

I and my partner have just moved into a new flat, the previous tenant had Scottish power so I thought I was going to have the same, he gave my information to you. I did not hear anything, so my partner signed up to you on November 9, however, it was going to be in my name. Today I called you and was talking with a lovely girl, and was told that she will transfer me to the department to set up a new account, but my partner needs to call in within 2 weeks to cancel his account to avoid 2 bills, that is common sense, I was transferred to a nice guy, he started to set up my account, but unfortunately, the phone was disconnected. I called again and spoke to a very rude man, he needed to call my partner to confirm this, I said my partner was on a doctor appointment and would not answer the call, he called my partner and of course he did not answer. This guy refuse to transfer my call, I also told him that the bank account for my partner's account is my bank account, and told him that he can't refuse this, told him that I will report him if he didn't. Then he said he will transfer me. But he came back and said no one is answering and I can not stand in the queue. This is out of order, this guy should not answer calls for your customer service. And is not good that 2 different people giving give me different information. This is not good for your image.

Just in the last throes of having my garage converted into a Granny Flat. Andrew Wintle of Telford carried out the substantial plastering work. He is an excellent tradesman and the finish is fantastic, no mess no fuss normal work hours 8am to 4pm. I have no hesitation in recommending this tradesman I have included his tel.
