I am here to add to the horror stories…
I am here to add to the horror stories of this company. My husband called them to come and fix his truck that would not start. This truck had a history of electrical problems and it was acting up again. We have emergency road assistance for car jumps, ect. The reason why I say that is, the mechanic came to our home and told my husband he needed a new battery. My husband explained to him that it was more than the battery. The guy refused to do anything else to the car and left. The car did not start the next day. Our roadside assistance company came by and tow our truck from in front of the garage so that we could get our other vehicle out. I spent more than 4 hours trying to reach wrench to come back and fix the real problem. They finally answered. Yes, they are rude and condescending. They finally agreed to have the guy come back out. But will charge us another fee if the problem is the car battery. Well guess what, He came back, jumped the battery and left again. I finally was feed up and had the truck towed to a car shop. Where they fixed the car. There was something preventing the gas to get to the engine. I called my credit card company to dispute the charge. This is the kicker. The Wrench company said that we had hired them to come to our home and only do an inspection. An inspection! This says they had no plans to repair my vehicle. They were just going to look at it. This is a scam.
My feedback. Don't waste your time or money. They are not mechanics.
Communication is awful, no followup
Communication is awful. Website didn't work. Phone is AI and kept saying it didn't understand. Did get an email back but then they never followed up. ZERO STARS
What went wrong is customer service is…
What went wrong is customer service is horrible, they talk to you like you are gum on their shoe and have No interest in helping. I scheduled an appt granted it was early morning but I got stuck at the airport as my car battery died, I managed to get it started drove it home with all thoughts of someone would be to my home to replace it this day, customer svc calls and says No appt wasn't made in time, well then why did you accept the job? All I got out of them is we can reschedule another time, no that is unacceptable as I am out of a car. You confirmed appt get someone out here. Word salad. Five hours from scheduled time and nothing. Horrible way to run a business. Wouldn't recommend.
Do not contact this company whatsoever
Do not contact this company whatsoever. Poor communication. Installed wrong part on a vehicle and left it inoperable stuck in the driveway. Never received a call from management. I had to get the vehicle towed in to get repaired with the correct part. They refuse to address the wrong part issue. Continue to say I wouldn’t pay for a diagnosis and they installed a part. The WRONG part! Do not recommend them at all. Horrible.
Lack of accountability
A moment ago
If I could give zero stars, I would....
Had an alternator replaced by this company one year and two weeks ago (conveniently out of warranty). A belt popped a couple of days ago. I replaced the belt myself. Went to start the vehicle and the belt was off again. I noticed that the pulley of the alternator was out of line with the other pulleys. Upon closer inspection, I saw that the bolt securing the bottom line of the alternator wasn't secured properly. Wrench/Your Mechanic wanted $170 for a diagnostic that did not go towards the labor.
The alternator replacement was just short of $900.00. This was clearly their fault. Use at your own risk. I wouldn't refer them to someone I didn't like.
This whole operation is a scam
This whole operation is a scam. They took $150 and told me that the mechanic would be at my house between 730 and 930. I got a text from him saying that he was going to be late and wouldn't be there till 1130 then he told me that he's only coming to diagnose the car and that the repair was going to be handled with him. I spoke to him on the phone and he gave me a sob story so I said OK come on by he said I'll be there in a half an hour an hour and a half later he sends me that he's going to arrive at my house in 10 minutes then he canceled because I told him that I no longer wanted with a company that handles business like this, they told me they weren't going to charge my credit card until after the work was done and I noticed that there was a charge on my credit card. And the story nobody showed up. Do not call this company it seems like it's just a pimp service for people that say their mechanics.!
Waste of time and money
If I could give less than 1 star I would. The issue with my car was misdiagnosed. I spent over a thousand dollars based on their technicians diagnosis only for my car to still not start. I was then told to make another appointment which would cost more money. I took it elsewhere, the issue was diagnosed correctly and I paid less. When alerting wrench to the misdiagnosis, they tried to void the warranty on the part they installed because I took the car elsewhere. Did they really think I would continue to pay them money to guess at a problem they already didn’t fix. DO NOT USE THEM!!!
Technician didn’t arrive
I booked a technician to arrive between 8:30-10:30. He called at 8:45 and said he had a flat tire and would arrive around 10. He didn’t show. I called him at 10:15 and he said he’d be arriving in 15 minutes. I checked at 11:15 and he still hadn’t shown. I called the customer service line and they called the technical and he said he was on his way and would arrive in 15 minutes. I checked again at 12:20 and he was still now there. I called customer service who said they’d call me back. They never did. I tried calling the technician and he never answered. I ended up taking my car to a nearby repair shop because I knew the technician was never showing up. The technicians name was Quincy and the agent I spoke to several times was AJ and neither were helpful. I will never use this company again. Save your time and go to a shop. This company is not reliable and they don’t care.
I booked a mechanic and he never showed…
I booked a mechanic and he never showed up. This company is a scam.
CAUTION!!!!
My key got stuck in the ignition. The plastic parts of the neck of the steering wheel were off, and I had to disconnect the battery to save the battery. The mechanic stated he couldn't work on it because it was that way. He had me push one of my other cars that is dead also out of the way, and he made me reconnect the battery. Bruh, I did more work than this group.
This is is regard to the service in WA…
This is is regard to the service in WA state (Kitsap County). I was having an issue with my parking brake, and I contacted Wrench.com. This was the biggest mistake (as it pertains to vehicle service) that I have ever made. The first technician they sent out somehow hurt himself and was picked up by the local fire department - he didn't do anything wrong. When he left, my vehicle was on jack stands. I contacted Wrench.com, and they said they would send someone out in three days. No one showed up. I contacted Wrench.com again, and they said they would send someone out within the next few days. Again, no one showed up. It took ten days for a technician to actually show up. I was not able to use my vehicle for the duration. The second technician they sent is incompetent. He did not install the parking brake shoes properly. My vehicle was not able to move. I contacted Wrench.com. They sent the same technician to address the issue. Again, a few days later. This time, my vehicle was able to move; however, it was now making a horrible noise. He installed the parts improperly, again. I took my vehicle to another shop to address the issues caused by Wrench.com's technician. To paraphrase, they said the person who installed the parts does not know what they are doing. Lo and behold, when service is performed by someone competent, it does not result in a horrible noise. The system functions as it should. Wrench.com refused to take responsibility. By taking it to another shop, they claim that their warranty no longer applies. Their technician had installed the parts improperly, twice. There was no way I was going to let Wrench.com touch my vehicle again. I will never hire Wrench.com again. If you want to wait around for weeks and let some incompetent technician damage your vehicle, hire Wrench.com.
This is a scam
This is a scam. They give you a super high quote then comes over, dicks around for an hour, leaves, and charges you, but nothing was done to your vehicle. I spent over $500 for the quote and “replacement of a water pump,” which never took place. I had to dispute it through my credit card. This business should be shut down.
Avoid this website at all costs
Avoid this website at all costs. They send their servicemen incorrect parts. I had to buy some of the parts myself. Then a $600 additional labor charge was added to my estimate with no explanation, and there's no one to contact to dispute the charges.
Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible! Spent an hour trying to schedule and the system charged me twice and no appointments were made!
Disgusted!
If I could give them a negative one…
If I could give them a negative one star I would. They stole so much money out of my checking account and denied doing so when I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. My car is still broken after they stole so very much money from me when they were supposed to be honoring their warranty. My car is still broken months later and it was never ever repaired by Wrench in the first place. Almost 9 months later and I keep crying about this terrible terrible company. I cannot afford to fix my car..
Don’t waste your time or money bad company
Don’t waste your time or money this service SUCK.
Broken bolt said he would remove it for 250
Worked 5 hours and left never heard from them again
Said he would return but never heard from them again
Terrible
Terrible. Juan was the mechanic I was supposed to have but someone else and a girl showed up 30 minutes after I received a text that he was at my house. Did diagnostic and I asked if he could fix it that day. He said he could and to expect a call from the company for me to authorize the work. I called myself because I needed my car for thanksgiving and time was running out. Went back outside and the mechanic had left without telling me anything. Gone to get parts? Lunch? Who knows. Tried to text and call, but no answer. Even the rep i spoke with said he wasn’t able to reach the mechanic. Please do yourself a favor and don’t trust this company. I wouldn’t trust them to work on a toy car.
I would never use wrench.com again
I would never use wrench.com again. The mechanic would always change the appointments. The mechanic said he could program the cas module after he did a diagnostic. Well he couldn't and the customer service sucks at best. I noticed they won't let you put a bad review on their website.
Mechanic no show
Right along with everyone else writing reviews, appointment was scheduled and mechanic never showed. Several hours after appointment and after being on hold and hung up on several times funskky got a call telling me the mechanic wasn’t going to show. Don’t waste your time with this company.
If I could have given 0 stars I would…
If I could have given 0 stars I would have. I contacted them to do a replacement of an Alternator on my 2016 F150. An appointment was made for sunday morning, that morning I was contacted by the mechanic who told me he was running behind but would be there after the Chiefs game to make my repair, which was no big deal, I mean its the Chiefs right? At approximately 4pm I hadn't heard from him so I reached out to him and he said he wasn't coming. I contacted the company, they rescheduled him for today, 11/13 between 930 and 1130. Again, no show. This guy really doesn't want to work I guess. Company attempted to still charge me a $150 cancellation fee, which I told them I would dispute the charges with my bank and had text messages to prove it was no fault of my own. They didn't charge me. I am not sure that its the fault of wrench or the mechanic or a combination of both. But I definitely would not hire or attempt to hire again. They are at best conveniently inconvenient.
