Run run run away from this company. They don't honor their work and do not offer any refunds. Long story short you will spend a lot of money and most likely not have a fixed car like me.

Recently, I’ve noticed my car was leaking oil gotta diagnose, and it was my crankshaft seal. I decided to browse the Internet to look for that part and came across wrench.com. I was very excited with my quote of 256 for parts and labor, and a mechanic to come out and change that part however, the quote was updated to 399 and again $439 I spoke to three different representatives they explained it was due to the labor time being updated so the price increased in addition, I asked how does the payment work she explained to me that I would have to put a card on file. They will withdraw the money as a hold, and when the mechanic is done, the hold will be finalized. I found that kind of fishy me paying for the services and no one came out to do it yet. Another thing that was sketchy was one representative said to me if the Mechanic happens to not show up or does something incorrect, I would have a warranty lol at this point, I decided to think about it and didn’t book the appointment. Something then told me to check out the reviews after reading. The reviews today is April 10 and I will not be booking my appointment after reading you guys reviews I believe every review because I imagined the same thing happening to me. I am not trying to have some guy come out and ruin my vehicle more or not come out at all and I get charged for any type of services because I decided to put my card on file with a hold on the payment this is crazy what y’all got going on wrench.com

They didn't show up for the first appointment. The next appointment the mechanic came and said they sent him with the wrong parts. He couldn't complete the job, unless I could wait for him to go get new parts. My timeline didnt allow so he left without any work. I was invoiced for diagnosis. I called to say that no work was done because they didn't have the parts. Stephan would not reverse the charges. I was even texting with the mechanic that showed up and he said that wasn't right. They can't charge for a service that they messed up. Stephen wouldn't let me patch the mechanic onto our call. he said he didn't care and he made his decision,

I made an appointment for a mechanic to come check out my car in Houston, TX in the kingwood area,the guy came and told me that I need it a part for my car to work.I pay $64 for the part and $150 for him to do a horrible job and made me spent $64 and something that is wasn't even the problem .after been on the line waiting for 2 hrs 5 minutes to talked to someone and I got was a machine telling me your called is very important for us someone will be with you shortly. TOTAL LIE AND WASTED OF TIME. The customer service is horribly. I should it read some reviews before getting this people to waste my time and money

Long story short! Installed wrong Power Steering pump on first try. Came back with correct pump and not working. I took to another dealer (after they said it was the car not steering because of another problem I previously had repaired) and found it was leaking badly. Wrench (same mechanic) returned installed another pump and the steering did not work. I was charged an additional $175, even though it was not fixed, thus still under warranty. Mechanic indicated it was "probably" the Power Steering Hose. Gave me an estimate of $525, which I did not respond to. Each of the four times the mechanic returned it was always another problem causing the lack of proper steering. I spoke with Wrench and expressed my dismay, especially with an additional $175 and they finally reduced it to $75. What a wretched, frustrating experience with a company I will never do business with again.

No Piece of Mind in San Antonio, TX. Wrench worker came out on January 25, 2025 to replace valve cover gasket. He broke the fuel filter along the way. He was sent out a few days later to try and fix the car that was unable to be safely driven. He wasn't successful replacing the fuel pump and the car was unable to be safely driven for a 2nd time. I notified the Wrench of my car being towed to the Dealer for repair, and the next day I emailed them the price and problems the dealer found. The dealer stated that there was leaking oil from the valve cover and that the fuel pump was not done properly and they both needed to be replaced. Wrench didn't respond to the email sent to them, and the work was done so that I could turn in my rental car that Wrench refused to pay for on day one when their worker broke the car. Wrench refused to pay for the work, the car rental, and refund me for their bad work. The total is close to $3000. Now I will have to go to the courts to possibly sue the mechanic. Wow...and I trusted Wrench. They only have been denying.

Mechanic did a botch job and broke pieces on my car and tried to cover it up. A different mechanic with the company came out and confirmed this. My car is inoperable and has been for a week. They have zero urgency in getting it fixed and finally agreed to replace my whole fuel line the guy messed up. They then without me knowing tried charging me a portion of them fixing the mistake and the reasoning from customer service was because they already spent a lot trying to fix it! They won’t compensate you they provide no rental car for screwing up your car and will charge you more unauthorized by you in hopes you don’t notice. This company is a complete scam.

Had an appointment set for Thursday sat around for 2hrs with no email or phone calls finally I CALL 5mins past my appointment slot and apparently small issues with with billing but by the time we sort it out and have my card pre charged now the mechanic won't respond to if he's still available for the day.....
Was supposed to receive a call back from dispatch to finalize appointment time....as I'm waiting 3 different time availabilities pass and still no call back so I rescheduled myself for a mid afternoon appointment today... I was out of town for a funeral (that I expected to be able to drive to myself!) and didn't arrive home till 7... I go to test my car and now my steering wheel which was perfectly fine before won't budge at all! So now my car is even more broken than before and I check my account and after all the bullshit on top of everything my quote went up

Don’t trust this company they take your money after you accept the quote and call you back saying that there was a mistake in the quote and have to increase the price we will be calling the state attorney for false business practices

Got an estimate on doing my fuel pump . First time he came out and said he would have to come back because he didn’t bring his lifts . 2nd time he said he couldn’t do it because his lift was in the way of it . They charged me 160 dollars for nothing. This company is a rip off. Save your money !!

I had great expectations, met the mechanic, felt confident, viewed the quote and estimates. I went to look at the estimates online and schedule......all of its gone! As if nothing happened! They left one comment in the very bottom of the page. When I tried to leave a review, unable it says. When I tried (several times) to contact customer service, I got an AI who said they were trained to handle my concern. What a waste of $150. I doubted the negative reviews but don't. Go somewhere else where there is a legitimate point of contact and shop.

My 535xi has not been working properly! Most Diagnostics costs $150-200! The driver came out did his diagnostic and told me what needed to be fixed! I revise my comment! THIS PLACE IS TRASH!

They damaged my car . Changed the pricing. Came late and now won't return my calls or emails . The mechanic did something to my car door and now it won't open at all. Don't use this company.

Absolutely the worst. Got a quote to change a battery. They increased it and additional 100 dollars. I canceled and got charged a $150 cancel fee. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!

They charged $150 just for diagnostics. The mechanic, David said he would come back to change our battery out the next day. We never saw or heard from him again. He charged my husband an extra $100 to replace our headlights, then we find out he didn’t even do it. He took the headlights that we purchased off of Amazon and apparently kept them for himself because they are not on our car. So he stole our headlights. I would not recommend this service to anyone under any circumstances!

You took money out of my account for the service you didnt perform. I made an appointment you cancelled and said I have to reschdule which I didnt do I cancelled but you still took the money out!

Scheduled an appointment for service a week in advance. Two hours before the scheduled service time I received a text that, "due to unforeseen circumstances, your technician is unable to complete the service." This was very frustrating because now I still don't have a working car. Also, the company makes it very clear that if I was the one to cancel, I would be charged $150 dollars, but then they can cancel willy nilly leaving me out to dry with impunity. After my first call to customer service, the representative gave me a $25 dollar discount for my troubles and was going to find the next earliest appointment and call me back shortly.

I never received a call back, and after an hour and a half I called again. After insisting to stay on the line this time and waiting about 10 minutes the representative said the next earliest appointment would be next weekend. I cannot go another week without my car so now I am left scrambling to find a company that will actually perform the work when scheduled.

Company was unable to perform service as scheduled and unable to rectify the problem in a reasonable timeframe. Stay away!

Overpriced by 50%, charges you an extra 250$ to come out, including the price!!. I've used his company twice now, not worth it. The second time I had to cancel they say they give you 24 hours I canceled in 2 days. And then they still took money from me for cancelling. The first time I use your company they didn't even fix their problem and I had to take it to another auto mechanic. NOT WORTH IT!!
They were charging $800 for a starter that I got for $350. Put in by a certified mechanic

I recently had an appointment with Wrench. David, the mechanic, was very helpful and identified the problem as a frayed belt. He removed the belts and told me to wait for an updated quote and to order the part. He warned that it may be more costly due to the type of vehicle, but that the service would be possible. David was great.

Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there. I called Wrench customer service and was told that they do not provide this type of belt replacement service for my car. I understand that it required special attention (something about an engine lift), and I was willing to pay for the service. Instead, they charged me a $150 diagnostic fee, knowing this service wasn't feasible in the first place. Promoting a service that isn't possible for Wrench, while charging me a fee along the way, should be illegal. I had the misfortune of not reading Wrench's reviews before booking the service, and now I know I made a mistake by picking them. Charging an upfront fee for a service that knowingly wouldn't be provided amounts to fraud, which is what I'll be arguing to the Better Business Bureau and my credit card company. Charging honest people $150 and then not working on their cars is a nefarious way to make money.

I'm surprised such a good business idea resulted in such a broken business model. Hopefully you read this review prior to using Wrench and use a local mechanic instead. Please, do your research before wasting money on Wrench.
