Bought an Airdale toy for grandson who was non stop saying our dog's name. Very realistic (though our dog is a Welsh Terrier). He adores it and it's very realistic. Paid for 24hr delivery and arrived promptly. Unfortunately, grandson is now screaming with happiness but it's ok because he doesn't live with us!

Amazingly fast brilliant experience. Only uk stockist of the item I needed (that looked like a legitimate business). Purchased on Sunday evening, with the 2-4 day delivery. Dispatched Monday, arrived before Tuesday lunchtime. Perfect service and turn around. Thank you so much, you’ve made a little girl unbelievably happy with a cuddly of her beloved dearly missed pup.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at World of Bears.
I purchased the wrong Jellycat teddy and returned to the shop within two minutes of the purchase to ask for a simple exchange,
Despite this, I was flatly refused and met with behaviour that I found rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional.
It is genuinely shocking that a shop selling children’s toys would show such a complete lack of flexibility and basic customer service over a straightforward exchange made moments after purchase. There was no attempt to be accommodating or understanding—just an unwelcoming attitude and rigid, unreasonable policies.
I usually make a point of supporting small independent businesses, but this experience has put me off completely. I will not be returning and would not recommend this shop to others based on the poor customer service I received.
A real shame, as this could have been resolved easily with a bit of common sense and courtesy.

I guess you can't fault the shopping experience. The wide range of beautifully crafted bears just waiting to be chosen and give a life time of memories to some lucky person, superb.
Now, let's describe the reality of shopping on line.

Then your prompted,
also want a presentational stieff box or possibility a passport?

We thought in our excitement that this would be a simple yes/no.
But wait!
We order the box, as it's for a babies christening. pay for our purchase and sit back and wait for our bear to arrive.

And then the dream ends and the rest is fact.

The bear arrives folded into the smallest possible box.
Upon questioning
i learn many life lessons.

THE site DOES NOT automatically match the correct size box for your bear but rather prompts the "cheapest" option ( a great box but too small)

No, YOU are expected in your shopping excitement, to slow down, a read the small print and chose it yourself! Beware of this.

And will the World of Bears correct this honest mistake in the name of great customer service? NO!

The reply simply states
"The World of Bears is in fact a small local business and cannot do this"
They informed us, that you ca
n order the CORRECT box off the site.

Here comes the kicker.
You can.
The boxes costs £7.99 with and additional postage cost of £5.99 for 1-2 day delivery £13.98 in total.
But the minimum spend is £9.99! So what to do?
Buy the passport!
Now the goal cost is £14.99 all because of a loosely directed web page,and an inflexible policy which we later learn that would have been lowered if only we had asked! We thought we had when we ask for a solution but then again it's sometimes lost in translation.
Never mind , life goes on.

Incredibly rude staff

Mixed experience with this shop.

I asked them for a photo of a specific bear on fb as it was an older bear from 2016 and they only had 1 - they refused. Fine whatever.

Then I Visited the shop, there were two girls one of which who was absolutely lovely - could not fault her and her customer service. She was helpful polite and lovely, however there was another girl, she was not very nice towards us when we asked her a question, not helpful and was blunt - came across quite rude. Not what you expect for a shops that sells such collections or that serious collectors consider for so much money.

Utterly beautiful toys for Easter presents for three little ladies in the family.
First off a terrible mistake happened on the site with the PayPal App, no one’s fault but a bad IT connection on my end and it appeared the sale hadn’t gone through, I was buying three identical items of nearly £100.00 GBP’s so a duplicate order would have cost me dearly. But I want to thank Zoe who was helpful and reassuring, even calling me back to alert me that the sale had gone through but wouldn’t process the order for 24 hours to make sure ✔️ wasn’t charged twice. To my mind that’s good old customer service. The items ( Hermann Bunnies) arrived and they are absolutely gorgeous, just the right size for little 3/5 years old arms to cuddle. 🥰 can highly recommend.

I purchased a steiff limited edition from World of bears. It made me nervous because it was an international purchase but they offered the "bear" at an amazing price. He arrived today and is perfect. Very well packed and shipping was very fast.

Excellent customer service. I wasn't happy with a detail on the plush toy that arrived but they responded promptly to my concern and arranged a return and replacement.

Ordered a croc for my son £119 and considering how much I paid it was very poorly wrapped ! I've ordered cheap things from amazon and had 5 star packaging.... it also arrived with a hole in its leg with a plastic pole sticking out ! All they could offer was for me to send it back and wait till whenever they would have another one in stock. Definitely not buying from here again and would not recommend it.

After Christmas I was delighted when my missing order was refunded and a replacement item sent and recieved in time for the arrival of my granddaughter, good service and a prompt response

For the cost of a £160 bear I would have expected it to arrive in a decent box with some internal wrapping. Instead it arrived in a barely sealed second hand box with no protection. I will not be ordering again from here

A lovely lady helped me with my order as I had no internet, ok I had to pay £1 extra but it was worth it, my bear arrived the next day, thanks so much😁

This was the only UK based store that had the Steiff toy we wanted for our new baby. Website was easy to use and the delivery arrived less than 24hours later which is very good for the price. Very happy with the service and would definitely use again.

I bought a Steiff wire haired dachshund as a Christmas present for my mother-in-law, who at the time was suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s. Unfortunately, she died this week and when I spoke to someone at World of Bears, Taunton, and explained the situation as to whether I could return the item (still in its box) she categorical stated “we don’t issue refunds as stated in our store”. Her attitude was unbelievable; I had a very difficult week and ‘this person’ was devoid of any compassion. Great customer service - NOT.
