Had an issue regarding my delivery which had nothing to do with William George Auctioneers but after contacting them late Friday afternoon, they went the extra mile to resolve the problem even contacting me on a Sunday. By Tuesday morning my item was on the way to the right address.Their whole team are all very professional and look after their clients. I’m now looking forward to buying my next item from them

I won an auction for a shoe cabinet which I was delighted about.
I went and picked it up and the box was quite shabby, open but loosely taped together. I wasn't really bothered by that.
I also knew that a used/customer return may have chips or screws missing etc..
What I didnt expect was the two main sides of the cabinet to be completely snapped in half rendering it unusable and unrepairable.
I have emailed and had conversations with Hannah who proceeds to keep telling me I cannot have a refund as these items are sold as used and may have slight faults.
This is not a slight fault at all. This should never have been sold.
I know my consumer rights and items whether new or used are to be sold in a condition as fit for purpose.
I will be taking this further and will contact trading standards if necessary.

A very charming and efficient customer service dept. A pleasure to buy from this company.

Quick and accurate response to an email enquiry on an auction lot that was missing information from the description, the information confirmed the item was not the size I needed and save me what could have been a wasted purchase, thank you!

Having used William George for a number of years I have always found them very helpful and always happy to help. This week was no exception with my query regarding a recent purchase being dealt with so efficiently from start to finish by Hannah taking ownership and keeping me updated.

Apart from no phone, which is strange but a lot of companies are doing the same. The company has been fantastic dealing with problems. Have had several happy lots one fantastic lot.

Lovely company to deal with so far! I've only had my first few deliveries but Hannah was super lovely and clarified my newby queries :) Would love to see them bring new retailers into the mix in the future!

Avoid the John Lewis pallets from William George and burn your cash instead. Absolute rip off. Clothing all impossible to sell, bobbly jumpers, holes in socks, single gloves, missing buttons, branded stuff missing all together. From a full pallet of approximately 20 electrical items, not one worked. One pallet didn’t turn up at all, William George blamed couriers, then broken down truck, then said the goods had been damaged when a consignment of insence fell on top of it. I said send it anyway but they refused. Cheeky kids all working from home, no main office or phone number for William George, therefore they take no responsibility and get away with the no refund policy you agree to when you bid.

After Sales enquires are promptly addressed, the best customer service i have encountered for a very long time, I was provided with an immediate updates.
My issue was addressed by Ms Hannah hamilton-smith and I was extremely pleased that within couple of days she concluded the matter. Thats a clear sign of a company who care for their buyers, should be 6 stars, but trustpilot only allows 5 !!! Will definitely be purchasing more stock..

was out bid on a item then contacted by William George and offered the item as the highest bidder fell through was this fate i then made an offer it was accepted all dealt with very professionally with smooth transactions and delivery to follow well done to Hannah and her team and cant thank them enough great stuff and they will get my money every time

Any business is only as good as how they sort things out when they go wrong. Charlotte and the rest of the team sorted my problem out quickly, efficiently and without any drama. Excellent customer service, and without hesitation I will buy from you again.

Would highly recommend selling with William George. They are trustworthy, efficient and the results are excellent. I bought a diamond tennis bracelet from the online auction place ibidder , I thought I had bid for a 7.67 white gold f-g SI new and unworn tennis bracelet with a GIE certificate for authenticity - I made the mistake to be confident in that the certificate was genuine ! Why would
I or anyone ? then need to independently check the item for authenticity I thought that’s what the certificates are for right ?? Far from being so it turns out after 2 years of me thinking this was a genuine sale - I wanted it valued for insurance purposes the certificate is not enough it needs to be checked in person , the stones all have surface reaching cracks ! Yellow fractures - have been fracture treated apparently only out of the uk do this - and that if I was to have this cleaned in an ultrasonic machine the glass filled in between the cracks would fall out from the heat and waves - and so would the stones, I was then contacted by William George after looking at my bank statement to see I transferred money to auction rebel Ltd , I used companies house as they have and hold no way of contact via phone online at all ! Had to call their registered address Brooks and partners who are their accountants to ask them to call me , Hannah called me on an unknown and blocked number I asked for a number to contact her back and that’s always switched off , she said that the retailer asked why I didn’t insure it sooner which is irrelevant and not compulsory is it ! And that the report from a jewellers which has been opened for over 30 years ! Incredibly reputable wasn’t a genuine report even tho it’s been done by a gemologist ! How could anyone ever win with comments back like this ?? Not even William George sorry auction rebel Ltd check the items auth or if it’s genuine they rely purely on a certificate that’s clearly fraudulent . I wouldn’t buy anything from these unless your willing to take the time once it’s paid for to check with a jeweller but even that doesn’t work so I’d just stay clear buying gold or diamonds from these or anything ! Hannah from customer service told me she’s got a case ongoing for a Rolex so I was not the only one since joining in April. Check companies house William George is dissolved and you won’t find a contact number anywhere! I was also told to take legal action so just goes to show the lack of remorse for their customers once they’ve taken the money .
