I bought a bottle of „Hoonjuice“ created for JD Kirk in honour (🤪) of Bon Hoon one of his great characters.
Very much enjoyed this blend although I would say it is a little bit refined for Hoon, The only downside for me was the extra tax/duty I had to pay in Germany (F** Brexit).

Bday present
I have this to my partner for his 30th birthday I really enjoyed the labels and packaging. Very good quality and really nice. But the taste of the whiskey was not what I expected. U got a banana, marshmallow and bacon whiskey . And you cannot tell them apart. I was expecting to get a whiskey that really tasted like banana but that did not happen.

We’re sorry to hear that the flavour didn’t meet your expectations. Tasting notes are always subjective (in the eye of the beholder!) and are intended to complement the whisky’s natural profile rather than create a strong, standalone taste of any individual flavour — I suppose in the instance of the three 200ml blends you created, they all used the same casks but not drastically different proportions... for example, Banana Split two used 30% and the one used 20% - so the flavours are invariably going to come across similarly. However ,you should find that over time, in the bottle or when poured (and left to sit for 10 minutes or so) they will evolve differently as oxidization takes effect.
I'm going top your account of with some credit to try again if you'd like - but I'd suggest making the differences between your recipes a little more dramatic, maybe go 50% on one cask, and top up with the others.

I have just ordered for the second time and received outstanding customer service. I ordered my first blend for my husband’s 60th Birthday in March and he said it was possibly the best whiskey he had ever had! Hence my second order is now in for Christmas, using exactly the same blend again. First class product, first class company.

You guys are great. The Hoon Juice was a huge hit for my partner’s 61st birthday and tears and snot were running down his face with laughter at the very wonderful ‘accessories’. I’m no a whisky drinker, however I dis have a rather large and enjoyable slug. If I want more whisky, I’ll only buy from you. My nephew and family are planning a trip to Scotland in 2027 to visit Dundee and Inverkip where my Mum and wee Granny lived. I’ve visited Scotland once upon a time long ago, so this will be a chance to visit some of the places I missed out on before. I hope I don’t mark it before then, maybe I need to drink more of your whisky. Thank you so much. Suzy Q x

Boyfriend happy
I bought this for my boyfriend’s birthday and he loves it. I can’t comment on the taste because I don’t like any whiskies but he says it’s nice. It’s really cool how you can choose how much of each flavour you want to put in and it definitely affects the taste of the whiskey. It can’t really quickly and it was very well priced for the quality/ personalisation options.

Ordering was simple and delivery quick. Sadly I can't tell you how the whisky tastes as my Dad passed away before he had a chance to taste it, so in the bottle it will stay forever. He said there wasn't a whisky he hadn't tasted and this time i was going to prove him wrong. Sadly that was not to be 😭.

I found the offer from the author's web site. Ordered two bottles, which came with fairly good response, considering it was a foreign country and considering tarriffs etc. Really impressed with the wrapping of the bottles. of course the experience must include sampling of the product, which was as advertised and really great. I was really please with all of what was necessary to bring this offer off and would order it again if offered.

Courtenay! We're so sorry you've not received your parcel yet.
Unfortunately, the US is a tricky place to ship booze to - I can advise we did our part and posted it out promptly. It was processed by our freight forwarder, who organised payment for the duties and custom fees in advance.
It is currently with the couriers in the USA, but because the admin times seem to vary greatly, some folks get their parcel within a few days, others a few weeks!!! Sadly, it's all outside our control. But, it should be with you soon, and prove worth the wait!
Hopefully, you'll reconsider your review once your "Hoon" is in hand.

UPDATE: I heard from the company and they were able to answer my questions and explain things to me. I am happy with the answer and I am looking forward to receiving my product!
I made my order on July 31st. I still have not received it, so it is hard for me to rate my experience. When I asked about it, I was told they have not shipped to the US yet, but I had an email that said I could track my order, so I really do not know what is going on.

I'm sorry, I can't seem to find any previous communication regarding your order - so I'm not sure who you may have spoken to.
Your order (which was a pre-order for an item that was not released until the very end of August) is in transit. Unfortunately, shipping alcohol to the US is a time consuming process – which is part of the reason its so expensive. The UK courier agent has your parcel, but it needs to have all customs fees and documentation completed before it arrives in New York, where it will be processed by UPS – only then will a tracking number will be issued! The whole process can sometimes takes 7 days, but most of the time it takes around 14 days, the couriers seem to blow with the winds.
I’m sorry it’s out of our control for the moment, but it is on its way and hopefully it will prove worth the wait!
