The Wonders of China trip was well…
The Wonders of China trip was well organised and full of interesting content. It was a busy trip but we managed to see everything we wanted. Good hotels and restaurants, train and plane seats sorted well. Transport was good with decent coaches. Luggage taken care of except on the trains but they are fairly easy to get on and off. The Yangtze River cruise was lovely. What made the trip so special for me was our tour manager Cathy Lee, her attention to every detail, her care and kindness to ensure we were enjoying our trip was outstanding! Also her knowledge and that of the local guides gave us a real insight into Chinese history and culture. Our group was a lovely bunch of people too.

Wonders of China with Betty
Betty our tour guide was amazing. She ensured everything ran like clockwork. We had nothing to worry about, Betty took care of everything.
The itinerary Wonders of China was extremely good it covered everything we wanted to see and more. The days are long and nights are short, there's very little free time but it was 100% worth it. You need to be organised and prepared for long days. The hotel's and restaurants in the main were all very good. We went in September and the temperature was good and no rain. Also it was less busy than in summer so shorter queues. Trains, boats and planes were all on time. We were a group of 25 and my companions were all lovely we met as strangers but parted as freinds. We shared an epic journey together and it was absolutely amazing. Visiting China is a bucket list destination and it delivered a truly fabulous experience. There was a good mixture of culture, breathtaking scenery, shows, insights and fun. Don't wait . Get it booked you won't be sorry.

I have recently returned from Japan. Wendy Wu Japan Undiscovered. Mariko our guide was excellent from day 1. She shared her knowledge, experience and enthusiasm with us and I left with a better understanding of history, religion, culture and cuisine. Mariko went above and beyond with handwritten schedules. We received daily treats of mushroom sweets, lovely biscuits. Mariko is a great asset to your company, one of the best guides I have ever had. In Pursuit of Pandas Tour - Amazing!
We have just returned form the In Pursuit of Pandas tour. This was one of the best holidays we have ever taken. The itinery and sights were amazing. We loved the Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors and Pandas. Food was fabulous and we were looked after so well by the guides Wendy, Alan and Cherry. Everything was well organised from start to finish. We will remember our holiday in China for very long time.

Glories of China
Grace was our tour guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable, she made our trip so enjoyable with her wit and professionalism throughout the whole tour. Grace is a very special person, she was warm, friendly, accommodating and easy to talk to.
Everything on the Wendy wu tour was so carefully planned.
Without planning it's impossible to experience so much of the culture in China. All the hotels and were very good with abundance of choice at breakfast time.

The Guide...Yang...was excellent
The Guide...Yang...was excellent. We saw so many sites in 14days. The 4 day Yangtze cruise was superb...we upgraded our room and dining and it was worth it.
The pace was tiring at times but the optional tours on the cruise gave people a wee break.
A truly wonderful holiday. My only criticism...the buffet lunches and dinners were a bit repetitive.

I Went on the Gems of China tour
I Went on the Gems of China tour, it was fantastic, far better than other tours I have been on so far - our tour manager Ken was excellent, well experienced and helped me get the best out of my holiday during my time there.
The food was varied and healthy, it is worth mentioning that Chinese cooking normally leave the bones in the food, but Ken and the local guide let us know which dishes had bones before we started eating.
I Would highly recommend Wendy Wu, sending the suitcase labels and printed itinerary and guide book before the tour was a nice touch.
The booking process was simple and I was able to choose an alternative flight easily.

Bullet train Rail journeys ok although room for luggage inadequate and no coffee on trains
Hotels ok but location often poor and breakfasts horrible no English TV limited to non existent English Hopeless coffee machines, crowded buffets limited and generally very poor western selections very few if any non Chinese healthy options
Overall lunch and dinner food very poor especially when taken as a paid extra
Shows and attractions good guides ok although too much focus on collecting money for extra excursions and meals pretty much every day
5 hour coach from panda to ship terrible

Just come home from a Gems of China trip with Ken Wang as the principal guide. Great trip with a good mix of culture, history and modern. We travelled by bullet trains twice, bus and internal air for about 3 hrs each time between cities so now understand how big China is. Ken Wang read our group and went the extra mile to ensure our needs and wants were catered for. He is the genuine thing, focused only on making the trip memorable. He succeeded

The tour was very well planned
The tour was very well planned. A great mix of activities and sight seeing. Orphan, the Guide was excellent. Everything was organised like clockwork. From coaches, minibuses, trains and meals.
Our only criticism was the number of very early starts. When the 8am pick up seems like a late one. We had far too many 4am, 5am and even 6am pick ups that we felt could have been later.

Five stars for our China tour with Wendy Wu Tours
Five stars for our China tour with Wendy Wu Tours. My wife and I started in Shanghai right as Typhoon Dolphin hit — awful timing, the airport even shut down at one point — but our guide Addison turned it around completely. Calm, on top of everything, and genuinely made the trip. The local guides along the way were great too.
From there we saw the Terracotta Warriors in Xi'an (a definite highlight), then took the bullet train to Beijing for more sightseeing. Food was decent throughout. Honestly, Addison is the reason this gets five stars — even bad weather couldn't dent how good this tour was.
Highly recommend, especially if Addison's your guide.

I can only imagine the stress of landing in Shanghai as an airport shuts down around you, so to hear that Addison turned that around so completely is a real testament to him. He is one of our most experienced guides, and he has a rare gift for keeping things calm without ever making it feel like a performance. It also sounds like you made the most of every moment after that. The bullet train from Xi'an to Beijing is such a brilliant way to see the country change before your eyes, and I am glad the Terracotta Warriors lived up to the billing. They always do, but it is always reassuring to hear.

This tour is full on but amazing, would recommend Wendy Wu. Overall we had an amazing time, we had itinerary change due to Typhoon Dolphins which was nobody’s fault Wendy Wu dealt with the problem brilliantly and our international Guide Louis was amazing .
