Content of itinerary, quality of hotels and the wonderful experience of trying local restaurants. Logistics of moving the group around was well organised.

please see my first comprThe "Gems of China" delivered 100%. Our main focus was on 1.The Great Wall. 2.The Panda Sanctuary 3. The Terracotta Army and 4.The Yangzi River Cruise. All were as anticipated and more. It was a cultural, and travel experience. The hotels and the river cruise boat were excellent.
However, it was full-on and demanding physically. Invariably we were up at 6.30am ready for breakfast and hit the road at 8.00am. Evening cultural entertainment (every night) meant we did not return to the hotel until 9.30pm.so, after a full day we went straight to the restaurant, then to the evening cultural event and then the Hotel. Often 13-16 hour days on the go all the time. There were a few time -fillers (ie. short 50 min boat trips) whilst interesting were not entirely necessary and we could have done with some free time.
Travel on Chinese railways is a nightmare. Constant security checks were onerous.
However, our tour guide, ALICE, was a gem. Everyone in our tour group felt we were lucky to have had her. She worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly. I cannot praise her enough, whatever she is paid it is not enough. She organised everything with good humour a light touch and a good sense of humour. 3 big cheers for ALICE she deserves a promotion. There were also two local guides, Garry and Sunny who were arrogant and dismissive.
We arrived home physically exhausted.

Wendy Wu tours provide great value for money, they have a jam packed itinerary and are fully inclusive of meals and trips. It’s amazing how much you see and do, with a good mix of excursions, experiences and events. The guides have great personal knowledge of areas visited. Everything is well organised from the booking process to travelling and returning home.Japan was my second tour with Wendy Wu having previously travelled to China, both were excellent trips and I would not hesitate to travel with them again.

A well organised tour visiting the amazing highlights of China. Very good standard of hotels. Be prepared for a lot of walking and crowds of tourists at the main attractions.

Our tour guide Sophie Jin is one of the best! She is knowledgeable, efficient, caring, thorough, passionate & warm in all that she do. She made the whole trip enjoyable in seeing to our every need, some beyond the call of duties. She is charismatic & sincere to whom everyone warmed up to her quickly.

We have just finished the Gems of China tour, and our guide Addison made it a holiday we will never forget.

What makes him exceptional is that he goes above and beyond every single day, not just as a one-off. He never treats the job as routine. He thinks ahead, solves problems before they become problems, and makes sure everyone's individual needs are looked after. Our whole group felt safe and completely stress-free in his hands.

Addison listens to understand, not just to respond, and then he acts on what you tell him. He also plans arrival times at every site so cleverly that we saw each place at its best and avoided the crowds. That takes real knowledge, thoughtfulness and strategic thinking.

Having managed teams and stakeholders across many companies, I know outstanding performance when I see it. Wendy Wu, if you have a guide like Addison look after him and promote him. If you are booking China, ask for Addison!

The tour lacked polish. Things like travel times, bad weather and the English language skills of guides all needed assessment. Altitude sickness is mentioned in the travel information but then not really factored in the tour itself - an hour to explore an area full of steps at 3,500 meters above sea level, with no acclimatisation, was possibly dangerous. If something on the itinerary cannot be delivered (venue closed etc.) then there needs to be a prearranged ‘plan B’.

We have had an incredible trip with Wendy Wu Tours, and while China itself is magnificent, what truly made our journey exceptional was our guide, Aimee.

From day one, Aimee looked after our group with absolute dedication and genuine warmth. She went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable, happy, and that all of our individual needs were met seamlessly. Whether it was helping with dietary requests, answering endless questions, or managing local details, nothing was ever too much trouble for her. Aimee is a real treasure; her kind, attentive nature gave us complete peace of mind, allowing us to relax and take in every moment of the tour. Wendy Wu Tours is lucky to have her!

The main negative feedback from us was regarding the food. We found the meals too oily and spicy, and they were often served lukewarm rather than freshly prepared.

We recently returned from the wonders of China tour and it was truly the trip of a lifetime.
What made this trip extra special and memorable was our outstanding tour guide Sophie Jin.Sophie went above and beyond every day to ensure we had a wonderful holiday.Sophie handled all the logistics and everything was planned perfectly.Sophie was knowledgeable,friendly,kind and passionate about showing us her country.We were made to feel welcomed and cared for throughout our entire trip.
I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.Sophie made an already amazing trip unforgettable.

It was the best tour we have ever done. The guides were top class especially Louis and Maggie. All the hotels and cruise ship were amazing. All the trips were well organised and ran like clockwork.

We took the gems of China tour with Wendy Wu. The tour was amazing and our guide and the Local guides were outstanding. At no points did we feel uncomfortable even though we did not speak the language. Everything was in control. Expect early starts every day as the days are full but you expect this if you want to see as much as possible. Most of the hotel rooms had the Japanese style toilets, which was a bonus. Every hotel provided to 500 mL bottles of water per person. The area with the mountains and suspension Bridge are extremely weather dependent as that particular area gets a lot of rain and cloud so the experience can be a little disappointing. The level of activity is well balanced. It could be very strenuous if you wanted it to be, but there was the option to not do as much. You need to good on your feet to get the most out of the trip.

Busy tour with a too much attempted to be included.

Guide had limited english, unable to adjust timings or replan to adjust for circumstances.

Lots to see but insufficient time at many locations.

Good food though too much.

Vegetarians well catered for.

A Wonderful Journey Through South Korea – 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My recent 11-day Scenic South Korea tour with Wendy Wu Tours was a truly memorable experience and one I will look back on with great fondness.

South Korea is a fascinating country, offering a wonderful blend of rich history, vibrant culture, beautiful scenery and delicious food. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, allowing us to appreciate the country’s cultural heritage and experience its many different highlights. Every day brought something to enjoy and another opportunity to discover this captivating destination.

A special mention must go to our tour guide, Lena, who was absolutely excellent. She was professional, friendly, attentive and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everyone felt comfortable and well looked after. Her kindness, patience and dedication made a real difference to our experience. Also, our Coach Driver Mr Son ensuring careful and high standards of safety and security on the roads🙏

One of the most special aspects of this tour was our group. We began as strangers, but as Lena so rightly said, we became one family. The camaraderie, shared experiences and laughter made the journey even more enjoyable and created lovely memories that will stay with us long after returning home.

Overall, this was a wonderful introduction to South Korea, made even more special by an excellent itinerary, a dedicated guide and a lovely group of fellow travellers.

Tremendous holiday. It was my first holiday on my own so I was really nervous beforehand but I have absolutely no qualms about further international travel alone - with Wendy Wu anyway! Felt excellently looked after all of the time without it feeling overbearing. Great itinerary and experiences. Highly recommend.

The tour (India) was well organised and brilliantly managed. Being my first group guided tour I wasn't sure it would suit me as I enjoy planning my own adventures and travelling independently, but I was pleasantly surprised that I found the tour ambience and the other tourists only enhanced my enjoyment.

I have just returned from the Glories of China tour. I have travelled to countries around the world solo and with other single day tour guides, but my experience with Wendy Wu has exceeded them all. What an experience! The full tour was arranged to the smallest detail at every step to make sure you experience every possible aspect of Chinese culture, history and food, including all entry fees to sites and pickup and drop off at the airport. A huge mention has to go to our guide Addison, who was with us throughout the tour. His knowledge, professionalism and brilliant personality made the tour so interesting, engaging and fun, bringing everyone on the tour together through his warmth and humour. I’ve come away not only feeling I’ve experienced the trip of a life time, but I’ve also gained a huge incite into China and also made many new friends, including Addison. I can’t recommend this experience highly enough and I’m already looking at further tours with Wendy Wu for next year.

Just returned from an amazing Wendy Wu Glories of China tour. Although it was a busy tour, our tour guide Addison made it fun and turned us all from touring companions into Addison' s family. 5* to the guides (Addison, Stephen, Oskar and Shannon) who just wanted us to experience as much of China as possible and have fun. Highly recommend it

Recently returned from a 28 day tour of China on the silk road tour with an additional 3 days in Hong Kong. I would recommend this tour.
Prior to the trip well organised provision of literature. Well laid out itinerary, very informative. Only negative comment was having to ask on 3 occasions about the visa as things have changed. Pleas note that < 30days you dont require one.
Met at the airport by our guide Eddie whom we had for the entire tour. Eddie ensured that we remained at all times informed of daily actives during our tour. He also ensured that we remained safe at all times. Nothing was too much trouble. He even took me to a pharmacy when i was ill.
The tour itself was busy and tiring but thoroughly enjoyable.
Our guide Eddie was excellent throughout our tour, He has worked for the company 20 years and this shows. Always there to help and guide people with additional needs outside of the tour. Unfortunately one of the ladies suffered a heart attack early in the tour. Eddie ensured that this lady was taken care of swiftly and effectively.
The tour took us through China and Tibet. This involved numerous hours on a coach, 4 bullet trains and 2 internal flights. Eddie ensured that everything ran smoothly and we remained safe and informed at all times.
We also had local guides x 4. Russell and Orlando were great. My only negative comment would refer to the first local guide we had called Roc. He disregarded the audience of people on the tour, whom were all of retirement age and all very well travelled. He was at times rude, arrogant and disrespectful.
Overal i would highly recommend the company and the tour if your thinking of touring around China :)
