We Buy Cars, Hexham is a family-run, independent car buyer founded in 2021, based near Hexham and covering the Tyne Valley, Northumberland and the wider North East. Cars run in the family: the business grew out of the Allendale Motor Company, the village garage founder John's stepfather bought in 1970. We buy any make and model at any price point: everyday family cars, prestige marques such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Land Rover and Jaguar, 4x4s and estates, vans and pickups, high-mileage cars and classics. Condition is never a barrier. MOT failures, cars with faults, recorded write-offs, non-runners and cars with outstanding finance are all bought, and second opinions are always welcome after a national online quote. Every car is appraised in person by the owner, not by an algorithm. We collect free with our own recovery transporter, handle the paperwork, notify the DVLA on the day, and pay by bank transfer before we leave. No admin fees, no collection fees, and the figure we agree is the figure we pay. You will find us out and about across the Tyne Valley most days. Great Selling Experience
I contacted we buy cars Hexham to see if they would buy my car - this was more tricky than it sounds as I was abroad with my husband at the time & the cars MOT was expiring!!
I told John my predicament and he offered to collect it that day and I was more than happy with the price offered.
My friend managed to meet up with them and they sorted payment and all the DVLA Documentation before leaving with the car.
(All from the comfort of my sofa in Greece! Haha)
