Poor Packaging
The threshold was delivered in its box wound round in a coil, but the end 30cm long section was twisted and could not be used as it would not lay flat so it had to be cut off; luckily i had ordered a slightly longer one than required.

Hi Ian,
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear the end of the threshold remained twisted when you came to install it.
Because Weather Defender is supplied in lengths of up to several metres, it has to be coiled for shipping. The seal is made from a thick, marine-grade PVC rather than a softer rubber, which gives it its long-term durability but also means it can retain some of the curve from being packed.
We normally recommend unrolling the threshold and leaving it flat for around 24 hours before installation, ideally with some weight on the ends if required, to allow it to settle back into shape.
We’re glad you had enough length to complete the installation, although we appreciate that having to cut part of it away was frustrating. One of the reasons we use this more substantial material is its durability, which is why Weather Defender thresholds are covered by our lifetime guarantee.
Thank you again for taking the time to leave your feedback.
Kind regards,
Weather Defender

Hi Francis, thank you for your 5-star review.
We’re really pleased the Weather Defender worked well for your garage, especially after the initial questions around the fit and the layout by the drain. It was a pleasure to help, and we’re glad the sample gave you the confidence to go ahead.
Thank you also for sending us a photo of the finished installation - we always enjoy seeing the results. We really appreciate your feedback and wish you the best of luck in our monthly draw.
Thanks again for choosing Weather Defender!
Garage door seal
The seal arrived and was easy to bond onto the garage floor. The instructions were clear and I now have a weather proofed garage floor free from rain, leaves and other flying objects. Thankyou .

A great item that does what it is meant.
Having studied on line video's about fitting, it went like a dream and having had very heavy rain since, worked well, so very good to date.

The rubber strip which improves the seal on my garage door seems to be very good. It was easy to install. I was hoping to get a better seal around the door, allowing my dehumidifier to be more effective where my car is stored over winter. It has helped but I need to do more yet as there is still a draft around the top and sides of the door. But the weather defender is good for the bottom of the door.

Dear Mr Finn,
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience - we’re really pleased to hear the Weather Defender strip feels like a quality product and that you found it easy to install.
It’s great to know it’s already helped improve the seal along the bottom of the door and supported your dehumidifier setup over winter. You’re absolutely right though: if there’s still a draught at the top and sides, that will typically be coming from the perimeter seals (side/top weatherstrips) or small gaps around the frame rather than the threshold area.
If you’d like, reply to us with a couple of photos of the door closed from the outside (including the top corners) and we’ll gladly point you in the right direction on what to adjust or add to improve the overall seal.
Thanks again for your feedback, and we’re happy the Weather Defender is doing its job where it’s designed to - sealing the bottom of the door.

We chose the XL because the gap under the garage door was uneven. It has completely solved the problem and we now have a space we can use without having to mop it out first. The team was immediately responsive with tracking information. A great job all round

We never got to see the product as next day delivery failed twice and we had to chase an answer on both occasions. Sadly had to cancel order and go elsewhere. Elsewhere was much better.

Hi Andy,
We’re really sorry for the trouble with your order. Unfortunately, your parcel was damaged in transit on two occasions — due to the long, slim nature of the draught excluder — which can occasionally happen despite careful packaging. We completely understand how disappointing this was, especially after choosing next-day delivery.
Our team did everything possible to resolve the issue quickly, but we appreciate this experience fell short of expectations. We’ve reviewed the situation to help prevent it happening again and genuinely value your feedback.
Thank you for your patience — we hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future.
Kind regards,
The Weather Defender Team

The weather defender was OK to fit. You need a hacksaw rather than a knife to cut and trim. Do make sure though the door is correctly positioned and secured before applying adhesive as once stuck it's stuck

Great product...robust tough design.
We bought 25mm high strip to sit garage side of opening barn doors to stop mice and weather getting in.
You can easily cut the strip to work around the door frame, and drill through it for drop down bolts.
Gives a tight and tidy finish
