Being able to ask questions before booking

I know this property, there is a smoking section I would never book near. I Had a hard time figuring out where the suite was, nothing in the description (not honest). So I had to book then ask. Sure enough it is affected by smokers so I had to cancel. You used to be able to ask the host questions before booking. That option is gone now

Waiting for Customer Care help…Still waiting!!

I made this booking last weekend and I have had to cancel now. I booked with cancellation protection but I have now been on the phone with Vrbo agents for nearly 1 hour to get information about that cancellation protection and everyone seems confused. I’ve been cut off, transferred back to the main line virtual assistant…. still waiting as I write this.
Terrible service!!! Courteous agents but no help!!! Waiting and waiting and still waiting………

The booking process itself was straight…

The booking process itself was straight forward but it is problematic when the charges are high and VRBO does not allow you to split the fee between 2 credit cards. In addition, there is no indication on the website (that I could find anyway) as to when my card would be charged. It would also be helpful if the "what's closeby/how far is it to..." info is on the main booking page so users don't need to hunt all over for that info.

The total price you quoted said…

The total price you quoted said "including taxes and fees," but I found out later that there will be another municipal tax added AFTER booking. I think that this extra tax should be included in your description of the total. I think that putting the payment plan (deposit and balance amounts owing) prior to booking would be helpful, and there was no indication until after you've hit "booking" about how much is owed when. You also might want to clarify whether the balance owing will automatically be charged to my Visa on that balance owing date, or do I have to remember to do that on that day or can I pay in advance. Other than that, the booking process took little time to go through, which was nice. I am a long-time VRBO user, and I want to see these kinds of details that will help me in the future and other users too. Thank you.
