I didn’t even know I could do this…..
I didn’t even know I could do this to protect my home for my children, l spoke with Viva Planning who explained to me how I could do this,answering any questions or just explaining how it actually works, I didn’t want to put my house in my two sons name because if something happened in their lives like getting into debt or a divorce I may have to sell my home, but putting my home in to a trust l know it is safe, knowing I can stay in my home until the inevitable happens..so giving me piece of mind.

Rest of life planning
We spoke to Jamie who gave us great advice for our current situation in life.
We are 72 and 68 years old and have some things in place for later life.
Jamie said that we need to change our wills to tennants in common and put one half in trust so it cannot be taken when one of us has to go into a care home.
I would recommend anyone 50 years and over to get good legal planning advice with Viva planning.

I have just had a very constructive and interesting chat with Jamie at vivaplanning who gave me some sound advice when approaching care cost and home ownership. Sadly there is little I can do as a single person in this regard but he has given me some extremely good advice with regards to wills and power of attorney.
