I phoned up and explained the situation, that i was away on holiday and wouldn't be able to return the item until my return. Spoke to Tom and he had no hesitation in saying that it would be fine.
Great to be able to easily get through to speak to a human being.

This service worked efficiently from the beginning to the final return of the glasses. I have used this firm previously and from initial contact, inspection and estimate ,carrying out of the repair and arrangements for final return one couldn't ask for better.
I had contact with Nicola on the admin. side and the trusty Joe who actually does the hard work on the repairs. Excellent customer service from both!
I will use this firm again without hesitation.

I got a pair of binoculars in a "damaged" box, to be honest, there was little damage, the binos are pefect and still came with 10year warranty. A bargain, even at full price I would consider it a very good pair for the price.

Bought some low priced Viking binoculars at a National Trust house. I didn't use them a lot but after 8 months I found the alignment kept changing, something had become loose. I had been careful not to knock them so I wasn't impressed. I got a repair under guarantee so 4 star but it would have been better if they hadn't become loose.

Had my 8x42 peregrine binoculars for 3 years now and the eye cup became loose after a lot of use.
I contacted Viking and to say they were helpful is an understatement. They were brilliant.
Listened to all my needs and off the binoculars went in the post.
They were returned within the week.
Fully repaired and 100% back to original working condition.
So pleased I bought from Viking.

I bought mu 8x42 HD binoculars at RSPB Titchwell at the beginning of the year.
Disappointing that after less than 6 months the hinge became very loose.
The RSPB shop workers would have repaired them if they'd been supplied with the correct tool. Why not give basic training as all RSPB branded bins are from Viking?
Instead they had to be sent away 2 weeks ago
My other suggestion is to use kess plastic packaging. Understand the caution but ot was ott. I'll send you a photo if you wish.

I sent my RSPB HD binoculars in for a minor repair and received gold star treatment. They have come back as new. And the service was so quick. When I asked if possible I'd like them in time to go on holiday, the response was as quick as I could imagine. Everyone very friendly too, either by phone or email. Great value for money.
